AusNeil Posted May 15, 2009 Share Posted May 15, 2009 Yesterday Linkin Park, and Joe wrapped up shooting their video for “New Divide” at Paramount Studios down the block from SURU. I was lucky enough to be on set and see Joe at work, and get a sneak peak as to what to expect in the video. I hadn't compared the two I was only responding to what someone else said about What I've Done's chorus being able to match with New Divide, saying that all that means is they could be in the same key. It kinda makes me laugh how people are saying New Divide is a What I've Done ripoff. How much have you even heard of the song to think that? The fact that the drums come in before the guitar, and that Brad used a Fender to record? And how can a band rip-off their own song? The intro is sick and the bridge vocals are growing on me. Seems like it'll be a good song. Wait, there aren't any leaks of the vocals are there? EDIT: Oh wow, found it. I'm certainly not an LP hater - why the hell would I be here? But I am CERTAINLY not one of those people who loves everything LP puts out because its LP. I, as a fan, have the right to judge snippets, 1 second clips, or a song for a whole month. You don't care about my critique? Who cares? Don't read it. Hey really c'mon, you don't have to be a song writer to judge songtexts especially because it's everyones own opinion how he feels while hearing this lyrics and if they are good or bad. It's the same with every kind of art, nobody can say you're stupid because your opinion is not mine or something... And I also said the !vocal snippet! sounds like electronic-pop-rock . It's just what I hear when I listen to it and I can really understand Prestons opinion. And I'm NO Linkin Park hater, they are my favourite Band. But I'm also a musician and I don't just listen to their songs because they are by Linkin Park . Im sure Preston is no LP hater either so be carefull what you say about other people just because you don't aggree with their opinion. Thank you. Not a fan of the Chester clip, but that is not the whole song and its not in the best of quality so I will still leave that open for Monday. This sounds like something Lil Wayne or Kanye West would do. The voice was altered too much. Chester is too good to have his voice fucked with to this extent.
