Ah! Can you describe the new JK music? You lucky lucky person. And as for Chester saying it wouldn't be fair for DBS to tour the US, I thought LP and DBS totally had a system worked out where touring wouldn't cut into album time.

People like that seriously piss me off. There's some girl laying limp on the ground and all you can do is take pictures of Chester and keep yelling his name? He is just a person. No need to worship him like some God.

I've read a few people say this, and I have no idea why. Alcohol and drugs KILL you. Chester has described waking up in the morning with no voice at all after spending a night binge drinking and partying, and having to chug Metamucil and not talk all day just to be able to perform that night. If anything the years of abuse are what has weakened his voice. That and age.

I wonder if this was inspired by the call Mike and Brad got on Loveline about that girl and her dad.

...Well meh. That's a killjoy. And as a few others have mentioned, I think the worst part of this is that Warner could now make a case for making sites like this one take down the downloads to the shows, since they'll be being sold for money and we already have all of them.

Is it confirmed that these are shows from 07-09 only? Anything before? Not that I'm complaining if they are, there are some gems from the last touring cycle.

LP has already done a whole hell of a lot for the Haiti cause. They have their own thing going. They don't need to be taking part in that horrible cover.

Not necessarily, Mike said in the Dec LPU chat that the next tour would have just 1 new song. So sounds like the lead single, with an album in Oct. But who knows.

Astat - I actually pretty much agree with that list entirely, with the exception of In Between. That type of song is really a love it or hate it thing. I appreciate the timidness of the music + the nice lyrics, but I could see how someone would think it was boring. What it lacks in musical emotion it has in lyrical emotion IMO. But good list either way.

I seems like they did the shot of Chester with the sunglasses in an attempt to make it look like a music video instead of just Haiti footage/recording footage. Very unnecessary but not a horrible thing either.

I wonder if the remix is why they said "wait and see." After all, if it's from the "LP camp," then it counts right? ;P Though maybe more will be added tomorrow.

But this isn't about downloading. It's about streaming. A site like lala.com for instance that allows free listening while on the website (EDIT: I was wrong on this actually. After a certain number of days you have to start paying on lala, so I;m sure the label would see some of that money). It's not like the artists don't get credit. I understand a label trying to keep people from illegally downloading/transferring music, but simply streaming on a website? That seems like a loss of promotion to me, because as someone said earlier a lot of people like to listen to songs in their entirety (unlike on iTunes) before they purchase.

Me too. The lyrics are actually poetic, LP typically struggles with producing great lyrics. A lot of times they're very generic. My least favorite song is Across The Line if it counts. It's a poppy song that tries to be heavy during the bridge, lyrics aren't anything special, melody just kind of annoys me. But it is a glorified demo so I don't expect it to be great. If that doesn't count, then it would probably be Hit The Floor. Runaway isn't too great either.
