    Mike's Answer

LP has already done a whole hell of a lot for the Haiti cause. They have their own thing going. They don't need to be taking part in that horrible cover.
  2. Does it say if all the proceeds go to Music For Relief? Maybe a certain % of them?
  3. He confirmed he sings on the track, no rapping. Still good to hear though. When's this come out again?
  4. Just to play the game? Probably not. The song is the gem, I doubt the game itself will be anything special. Or maybe I'm just not that into iTouch games.
  5. You act like he needs people to ask him questions at all. He does stuff like this for us. Not the other way around.
  6. XD I'd like to know how that person even finds out that Mike is taking blog questions. If you dislike a band why would you even be following a band member's blog? Bitches these days.
  7. I asked if LP has ever considered doing an iTunes EP as a way to release some of their unreleased stuff.
  8. That sounds really awesome. When do we get to hear from Alex?
  9. Yeah I know. The things some people take as confirmation. I mean, if a band member says it, psh like that means anything right? Seriously. Calm the hell down and try not to throw a fit whenever you see something you don't agree with.
  10. Not necessarily, Mike said in the Dec LPU chat that the next tour would have just 1 new song. So sounds like the lead single, with an album in Oct. But who knows.
  11. Can anyone upload the BiO mp3? I signed up a day ago and still nothing at all.
  12. All 9? That's awesome. You should do a review of all of them afterwards and explain which was best/worst/etc.
  13. Had to laugh at this.
  14. Astat - I actually pretty much agree with that list entirely, with the exception of In Between. That type of song is really a love it or hate it thing. I appreciate the timidness of the music + the nice lyrics, but I could see how someone would think it was boring. What it lacks in musical emotion it has in lyrical emotion IMO. But good list either way.
  15. I seems like they did the shot of Chester with the sunglasses in an attempt to make it look like a music video instead of just Haiti footage/recording footage. Very unnecessary but not a horrible thing either.
  16. I wonder if the remix is why they said "wait and see." After all, if it's from the "LP camp," then it counts right? ;P Though maybe more will be added tomorrow.
  17. But this isn't about downloading. It's about streaming. A site like lala.com for instance that allows free listening while on the website (EDIT: I was wrong on this actually. After a certain number of days you have to start paying on lala, so I;m sure the label would see some of that money). It's not like the artists don't get credit. I understand a label trying to keep people from illegally downloading/transferring music, but simply streaming on a website? That seems like a loss of promotion to me, because as someone said earlier a lot of people like to listen to songs in their entirety (unlike on iTunes) before they purchase.
  18. Good god who runs that place? Not even free streaming? Asses.
  19. Me too. The lyrics are actually poetic, LP typically struggles with producing great lyrics. A lot of times they're very generic. My least favorite song is Across The Line if it counts. It's a poppy song that tries to be heavy during the bridge, lyrics aren't anything special, melody just kind of annoys me. But it is a glorified demo so I don't expect it to be great. If that doesn't count, then it would probably be Hit The Floor. Runaway isn't too great either.
  20. Ah okay. Thanks. Guess we'll never really know for sure what happened.
  21. If you don't mind me asking, if everyone was so excited about promoting it, what the hell happened?
  22. I think you might have misunderstood Chester's intentions. He was curious about if the low sales of DBS reflected how people felt about the album. He basically said in 1 tweet, and I'm paraphrasing, that he doesn't care how people get the music, but there's no way to track illegal downloads. Saying you don't care about how people get the music doesn't seem to be the best way to promote people buying your stuff as you were suggesting. So basically he's wondering something along the lines of "do people hate my record and that's why no one is buying it, or are people downloading it instead of buying it and enjoying it that way." It makes sense. If I was the lead singer of a huge band like LP and was used to having my albums go platinum, and I put out a solo album that hardly sold anything, I'd wonder what was up too. I don't blame him for worrying.
  23. I feel bad for Chester. The guy was up late worried he had made a shitty album. I'm glad he turned to us for thoughts though.
  24. Ryan's been giving updates on new JK on Twitter also. Called it "dark, dark electro. Very heavy and sexy." Can't wait to hear some of that too.
  25. Okay? All it says is that they "don't see" another album taking that long. I guess I should say the only *guarantee* LP has made, is more music more often.
