  1. XD Mike was definitely joking around with the interviewer. As for the thread, mostly the stuff others have said. - Too much attention to the hit singles in the setlists - Time between albums - Lyrics. Linkin Park has never had songs with great lyrics. HHH, BTH, In Between, and TLTGYA are the exceptions.
  2. I love when Chester does stuff with Camp Freddy. He always puts on great performances.
  3. I think it might be the opposite. The drugs were probably what wore his voice down, along with age and use. And as for everyone debating whether or not pot is bad for you, inhaling any type of smoke from a burning substance is never good for you.
  4. That's already been released.
  5. One show I hope they release also is the T2 Premiere set. Other than New Divide, those were some great performances. Chester sounded great.
  6. Complimented how great a vocalist he is.
  7. I guess this guy is the surprise band? XD
  8. Really excited for the first Bleed It Out/Reading My Eyes.
  9. Yeah hahaha Great minds post alike I suppose.
  10. Surprise band should be coming now right? Anberlin is ending right now, and Alice in Chains shouldn't be starting for half an hour.
  11. Did the webcast cut out for anyone else?
  12. Anberlin was always gonna be playing tonight.
  13. So does KROQ always keep a surprise band hidden somewhere just in case then? Wonder who it is.
  14. Wow that was a nice performance. And KROQ didn't have a Failcast!
  15. holy shit Let Down ending.
  16. I came in at Fire and Chester seemed really tired for some reason. But if they started with Condemned I understand why.
  17. I'm assuming the times listed are PST?
  18. Why does everyone keep bringing up mmmm...cookies? That's LPU8. LPU8 is over. Plus if you remember, when mmm...cookies was soon to be released, Mike was very choosy about his words, and made sure not to call it "new Linkin Park music."
  19. All good points. Labels have more influence on the live show than most people realize I think.
  20. This isn't the first time Mike has hinted at the fact that the other band members don't like playing the older, more fan-favorite songs, like the ones from HTEP. I remember someone posted a video from an LPU Meet and Greet and Mike mentioned how Brad/Rob don't like randomly inserting songs like A Place For My Head into the setlists. It seems like the other guys are just looking to please the casual fans sometimes as far as the live show is concerned. EDIT: And don't get me wrong, I can kind of see why. Linkin Park is a huge band, with a LOT of hits. If they were gonna play other stuff the sets would be really long. Still though...
  21. I couldn't make it to the chat, but it's pretty disappointing to hear that the other band members just want to play singles. I'm glad we have a guy like Mike in the band. Also, if a new LP song is coming in Jan., maybe the album isn't tooooo far off?
  22. "I don't rant often, but this particular note deserves it. I'll write this while the studio computer is restarting. Here's the deal. I hope you guys at Digidesign are reading." "And after I did lockjaw and helped them promote PT8…and the NAMM appearance…and tell everyone how awesome their stuff is, maybe they could at least give a fella a call back." -Mike Head over to his blog to read the rest. Disappointing that Digidesign would do that after how much Mike put on for them!
  23. I uploaded it: http://www.sendspace.com/file/yj0xdi
  24. That song at the beginning is DEFINITELY a VMA score song. I'm pretty sure I have the MP3 of it, or I had it. It was never released exactly, but someone ripped it from the broadcast. The MP3 still had the announcer saying "coming up next..." in it and everything. So yes that song is a VMA score song. I'll see if I have it. EDIT: I have the MP3. If anyone can direct me to somewhere I can upload it I'll do that. And it's not good quality, as I said it has talking over it. But it's definitely from the VMAs.
  25. I actually applaud SpraypaintNinkpens for asking that question (could have been worded better), but I think it's good to remind the guys directly that we want music from these guys! I'm glad they've started to do just that, and I think the gem here is that Mike says they have things planned before the album comes out, with Across The Line being just an example. Sounds like we may be getting something else.
