  1. No, Mike definitely said they wanted to put out "music" more often. We all assumed that meant albums.
  2. I'm not a fan of the "LP camp" either, but we have gotten a lot more in the past year than year's previous. Guess I'll just take it one step at a time. Looking forward to the 8-Bit song. EDIT: Not a fan isn't the right phrase. I am a fan of DBS and especially Styles Of Beyond. I just don't consider it a Linkin Park-related release. Because it really isn't.
  3. Chester sounded better on this one than Into You. The crowd not so much. And glad to see Ryan rockin out during the bridge.
  4. Silly Apple. Ah well. I just hope the game releases soon.
  5. I'm not upset, Chester just honestly sounds really bad. And it's confusing as to why, the guy can clearly sing. And having a better quality audio recording isn't going to somehow make him in-tune. He sounded a lot better last year than 07/08. I hope his voice is starting to build back up, and that this was just a result of it being his first time singing the song. Even though that shouldn't make much of a difference as he's the one who wrote the song in the first place.
  6. I'm curious, but why do you think better quality video/audio would improve Chester's singing?
  7. I don't know much on the subject but I remember what he's talking about. Apparently LP's sound techs do the soundchecks.
  8. I can't "discuss like a grown up"? Tell me what about my posts have been offensive or immature. I said that Chester stated in an interview that he doesn't do any vocal warm-ups, and how that is bad for a singer. Someone disagreed. I then offered to find a link to the interview. I'm still working on tracking it down. I'm not trying to argue. I just don't appreciate being told to "get my facts straight" when I am in fact using facts to support my statements. And it really was not a great vocal performance. You don't need great sound quality to hear all the wrong notes Chester is singing.
  9. I guess XD I'm just not the person who would want to take it to Mike's blog. Buuuut I didn't do it so it works.
  10. Oh geez.
  11. Yeah. I mean I'm not trying to come off like a douche saying OMG Chester is lazy or whatever. The band rehearses and I'm sure they put a lot of time in. But for a singer warming up and just doing simple exercises can really do wonders. Even for someone like Chester Bennington. Couple that with aging and drug-use, it just seems like Chester needs to be extra careful.
  12. I can show you interviews where Chester admits he doesn't do any vocal warm ups before shows. Would you like to see them? It might take me a moment to find them, but I will. That way you'll have your facts straight. Have you heard Chester in the past 3 years? The guy has a bad night way more than once in a while. If you've read some of my posts in the past, you'd know I love Chester's singing ability. But that doesn't mean the guy always sings to THE BEST of his ability. You'd have to be deaf to disagree with the fact that the past few years have been some really rough patches.
  13. ZOMG DBS KEPT HIM FROM DOING IT.
  14. I agree. This was pretty bad. Chester has never seemed like he does much to take care of his voice. He's said he doesn't warm up before shows (he said he only tries to hit a few certain notes), and his drug use can't have helped. Since he's getting older it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to start exercising his voice more, I don't know about his personal life but the feeling I get from interviews is that he just kind of wings it whenever he has to sing. He rehearses with the band but other than that, meh.
  15. It could still take a month or two. Testing might take half a month (2 weeks) maybe, another few weeks to fix/re-test. Wash rinse repeat.
  16. Psh Mike's flow is fine. This is probably some of his best rapping. Though being on the same stage as The Roots can make you look worse.
  17. Uh... Wow you're right I'm not sure who on this website gives a fuck about LP's new album and when it comes out.
  18. Shit. If that was a freestyle, I didn't know Mike had it in him. And I don't understand why Mike rapping automatically means new Fort Minor. The guy's been rapping since he was like 15.
  19. If LP was going to play 4 songs for a Super Bowl it would probably be like this: 1. What I've Done (AMBO intro) 2. In The End 3. Bleed It Out 4. Faint (Outro) 4 easily recognizable singles, none of them are too heavy or too soft, very similar to the Transformers 2 show. Mike would probably just have to censor himself on Bleed It Out.
  20. http://lptimes.com/news2010/jan/Mike_Gramm...twoodOne_2.html There's the link to part 2 of the interview where he makes the comment. I was holding out hope this thing would be out around summer. I know these are just guess-timations being made by the band members in the interviews but still. We've gone from 2009 - Early 2010 - First half of 2010 - By June 2010 - Towards the end of 2010. EDIT: He also says 8-Bit Rebellion is coming in the "next couple months." He says next couple weeks and then corrects himself. Unless he was referring to when the iPad comes out.
  21. Oh you guys. Must not have listened to Mike and Brad on Loveline.
  22. Inside Of Me sounds like it was made to be a single. Whenever I hear it I feel like it should be the opening theme of some TV show.
  23. Really hoping someone rips this. The radio station carrying Loveline in my area was bought out. I've been forced to listen to the shortened podcasts.
  24. Yes, seriously. XD Good lord I didn't say he was delaying the thing another year or two. It was more of a shot at the fact that everyone claims DBS has been holding up the album before now, but this tour is actually a circumstance where Chester is in fact away from the band in the middle of what seems to be deep into the recording process (working on the "batches of songs" that LP knows they like.)
  25. I'd say that if there was ever a time DBS was holding up the new LP album, it's right now.
