Mike's beats have a very distinct sound, that bass/tap. You can usually tell right away when something's his.

I've said this a ton but Across The Line is nothing special. Annoying pop melody and more bland, vague lyrics. Not that "It's your time" over and over again isn't cool or anything. After all he did scream it so it must be good. Blackbirds should be a lot better than Across The Line at least in my opinion. As for people wondering about why theres no big loud guitar part, there might be as we've only heard like 15 seconds of the song, but I think more of LP's music and especially the new album is going to have a lot less guitar. Electronica has regained its mainstream popularity and more bands recently have been making albums with a lot more synth (Nine Inch Nails and Muse are two examples of popular bands)

XD The trailer and game look so cheesy. But we finally get the 6th string song, so I could not be happier with it.

Seriously though, the guy is LP's videographer. He's been right there with the band, and seeing as how he isn't actually a band member, he'd probably be more willing to share some interesting stories.

J-K must read LPL. XD They're doing everything LPLers wish LP would do. Somewhat long, candid videos showing footage of new music, putting out a new album quickly, you better be taking notes LP!

This could definitely happen, they kind of already do it except they make piano versions of songs. I couldn't see anything with Mike singing, so they wouldn't do NRL or In Between in my opinion (unless they got Chester to sing them). Crawling, In The End, Pushing Me Away, Somewhere I Belong, Breaking The Habit, Numb, Leave Out All The Rest, Shadow Of The Day, What I've Done, Valentine's Day, and In Pieces could all work.

It very well could. I think sometimes LP gets too worried about the song they haven't made yet, like they have to hold out and explore every realm of possibility for a song idea. Which is good, to a point. At some point though you should probably just put out an album with the good music you already have. And if you find an amazing idea after that, well you already have a head-start on the next album.

Back to music: seems we nearly have a record!! Getting close to a full body of work..Tonight I am going to listen to all of it back to back - As a record.. See if worksI'll periodically go back to politics - for now I am excited about this new music. Trying to think of a way to play u guys a clip...I mean.. I'd rather see videos of their silly shenanigans than videos like Phoenix talking about how he's #17 or Mike talking about how many songs he has in his iTunes. Plus it seems to suggest we have some cool updates coming soon, so I dunno. We shall see.

Interesting, Chester says the album is about halfway done, AND he makes it sound like an LP tour is right around the corner.

I think that's just explainable by the ever increasing number of people who download albums for free though. But I dunno. I'm not saying he's some money hungry horrible person or anything, I don't know him personally. Hell if I had the ability to produce a TV show, I probably would too.

That and his thinking about how low sales = bad record make me wonder about him.
