The first time they did Reading My Eyes over Bleed It Out, when the verse came right after the drum solo after the bridge.

My idea had to do with how the album was recorded and the fact that they have visuals to go with the music in the artwork. So it wasn't unrelated.

Ehhh I wouldn't be so sure about that. I know band members aren't usually the best resources about how an album sounds for some reason, but Mike has been stating over and over that the new stuff is weird and keyboard/beat-driven. That one interview he did, The Nerdist I think it was called? He's so enthusiastic about the style being drastically different than anything we've heard from them before. We need a sample of something new soon it's getting ridiculous.

Let's see...MtM was announced late Feb of 2007? Single came out April 1ish, album in middle of May. LP must be getting ready to announce the album, but there is still no name for it as far as we know, sooooo announce the album in July is my guess. Lead single in early-mid August. Now since LP has a pretty good relationship with Apple, I wonder if they are going to do one of those "Countdown To" things where about a month before the album release, 1 song is released on iTunes every week for 4 weeks. If they do that, mid September - mid October could be the Countdown To period, with the album coming right at the end of those 4 weeks. If not, the album could come a bit earlier in late September/early October. I put more thought into this than necessary. Watch me be 100% wrong on everything.

I kinda love the response this is getting not just on LPL, but on the MySpace page too. We pretty much either want to know about the new album, or ask joke questions.

They've already been doing test mixes, playing music for the label, making tour dates, and thinking about an album name. I seriously doubt this album comes out in 2011. But I do agree on not getting hopes up. My guess is October, and that was before this tour was announced.

Still not sure about the first show of 2010, but first tour will be Germany. Like I said LP plays great shows in Germany, can't wait for October.

Nice. Earlier in this thread you said maybe the album in September and a single in August. Was that just a random guess, or more of an educated guess?

So basically the very latest we could hear new LP music this year is 10/20. I can't imagine they show up to these shows without at least 1 new song to play.

Pretty much this, I don't know if there's much debate. For LPU 8, you could at least say that it was funny, goofy, and original. LPU 7 was a bunch of live tracks we already had a ton of professionally done copies of.
