I agree it is getting a bit out of hand. However, the other poster didn't say anything about the album being completely in the mixing process, you did. And I was saying not to assume that, because Mike never said that.

Now wait a minute. Don't put words in Mike's mouth. He didn't say the album was in the mixing phase. He said they were trying out different mixers. So, getting close to the mixing phase? Probably. But he also said he was still recording vocals so I don't think they're quite done.

No offense but you guys seem pretty self-important. Not that I don't appreciate you giving a website fan-made "exclusives," but you're pretending like you're a band or something. It's kind of cute actually. Whatever it is better impress.

Ya know this chat might have actually been more informative than we think. New album LPTVs, and Mike said they are doing test mixes. I think the fact that they are starting to test out different mixers to see how they sound is a really good sign that this album should be coming pretty soon.

He said there will hopefully be LPTVs of the new album writing/recording process in the next month or two.

I'm loving the love In Between is getting in this thread. One of my favorite LP songs ever. Nice lyrics, emotional without being loud, a more timid somber emotion. Very different for LP. In Pieces is another underrated song as well.

Way to split hairs. I'd say Linkin Park does have a bit to do with the track as Chester is directly related to the band as the lead singer, but whatever? It was just a post about how I enjoy both groups, no need to be a smart-ass I'm well aware Chester is the lead singer of other projects and that Walking Dead is not a song by Linkin Park.

That's a little dramatic. They aren't giving us the finger. They just aren't exactly giving us love and hugs either. And everyone keeps saying Mike told KROQ the single would be out a few months after 8Bit, I missed that. Was that when he went on KROQ on 4/26?

They might incorporate the new album into some of the updates. I remember Joe a while back saying that for this next album they would release some stuff though "other media outlets." This was back when it was possibly going to be a concept album but still. An iPhone app counts.

Yeah I can appreciate the fact that the LPU does Q&A's and stuff for us. The band members just need to lighten up. Would it really kill them to say like "We're working on a song I really like called ________, and it's got this really cool drum part." Something like that. Just throw us a bone. Rob did it in his LPU chat when he told us about the song he did where he tuned his drum set to sound like bongos. If only they could do that more often.

The Isle Of MTV website says there's still at least one big name artist yet to be announced. It's gotta be someone right? Just sayin. This rumor seems a lot more credible than any in a while.

Ya know if you look at my other posts in this thread I say Linkin Park isn't a pop band. You're right. Commercial/mainstream but not a pop band. So please don't be disappointed in me. XD

They aren't a pop band but they make some pop music and are mainstream enough to play at an MTV show for sure.
