I don't think it's necessarily trolling. Probably a more casual fan than most people on here but this is a website dedicated to LP's live performances and a lot of the points the OP made are true in recent years.

To be honest, the shows like the type you described are really the most recent ones. (Post MTM 2007 and onward) If you listen to a show circa 2004 (the best LP live year in my opinion) Chester sounds great, Brad's guitar sound has a lot more volume and crunch to it. Phoenix has never really been audible.

I know not all the recent deaths have been due to drugs, but this just goes to show that drugs are NOT something you can just mess around with and expect to be okay. If you're addicted, seek help. R.I.P.

There's definitely going to be at least a little screaming on the new album in my opinion. LP has moved away from nu-metal for sure but that doesn't mean they won't make some heavy music. Though I don't think they would ever make a full screamo chaotic song.

Now that I look back on this post, that won't happen because giving away the new LP single for free would just lose Warner money. So that won't happen. Maybe there's another left over MTM b-side? Do we have them all yet? Or maybe they have a new album song that they know isn't going to make it on the album. I also think that 20 Eyes cover would be a nice surprise.

Might? It says right there they're making another. Maybe LP's lead single will also be available on this next one. I think it would be kind of weird to make another song solely dedicated to the same event.

Maybe the new twist on the special editions will be downloadable content? I swear they were supposed to update the special edition MTM DVD with new downloadable content every so often but never did. And if the fact that they are texting mixers, picking an album name, playing music for Warner, thinking about special editions of the album, and promising new LPTVs about the new album soon does NOT give you hope that this album is just about finished, I don't know what else Linkin Park can do for you.

Just to ask, you said the source was a friend who works with/is friends with Warner Brazil employees? Have this person been right about anything big in the past? Just curious. Because I obviously really want to believe this.

The chorus sounds like shit, it isn't timed right at all. The verses are okay.

The reason I feel optimistic is because I feel like the process of doing test mixes and picking the best ones really shouldn't take all that long. Just doesn't seem like a process that should take more than 2-4 weeks at longest. That and the fact that Mike is taking his own time to mix a few songs himself, and that they are playing the music for Warner reps. This thing must be starting to hit the home stretch.

I think one of these mixers ought to, you know, "accidentally" leak a song or 5 onto the internet. And actually, re-watching the Ustream video, it seems like the album is really about to get into the final phases on completion. Or maybe I'm just being oddly optimistic right now.

I agree it is getting a bit out of hand. However, the other poster didn't say anything about the album being completely in the mixing process, you did. And I was saying not to assume that, because Mike never said that.

Now wait a minute. Don't put words in Mike's mouth. He didn't say the album was in the mixing phase. He said they were trying out different mixers. So, getting close to the mixing phase? Probably. But he also said he was still recording vocals so I don't think they're quite done.

No offense but you guys seem pretty self-important. Not that I don't appreciate you giving a website fan-made "exclusives," but you're pretending like you're a band or something. It's kind of cute actually. Whatever it is better impress.

Ya know this chat might have actually been more informative than we think. New album LPTVs, and Mike said they are doing test mixes. I think the fact that they are starting to test out different mixers to see how they sound is a really good sign that this album should be coming pretty soon.

He said there will hopefully be LPTVs of the new album writing/recording process in the next month or two.
