At least "Soundtrack" with some vocals exist. "We tried different vocal treatments, but they never really panned out; I think we felt this track was a bit too poppy. I thought Massive was an instrumental, like Healing Foot was also supposed to be an instrumental. I remember seeing something either in the chatbox or on in a tweet from LPLive saying that tracks 1-3 (Lost, Fighting Myself, and More The Victim), and tracks 6-14 (A6 (Meteora|20 Demo), Cuidado ("Lying From You" Demo), Husky ("Hit The Floor" Demo), Interrogation ("Easier To Run" Demo), Faint (Meteora|20 Demo), Plaster 2 ("Figure.09" Demo), Shifter ("From The Inside" Demo), Wesside, and Resolution from the Lost Demos have vocals, while they didn't mention tracks 4 and 5 (Massive and Healing Foot) having vocals, leading me to believe those two are instrumentals. gorast Posted February 18, 2023 Share Posted February 18, 2023 The fact of the matter is that there's no way to know which ones have vocals and which don't until the box is out. It's informed speculation, to a degree - Mike's pushed the first three songs on the demos disc as being the songs with full vocals, but while that doesn't necessarily mean none of the other unheard songs have vocals (or that A6 does or doesn't), we simply don't have the info either way. There's nothing wrong with playing the guessing game with it, and most of the other songs on the box seem to follow the naming pattern used for instrumental demos (single word, abstract and somewhat without meaning), but I think we need to stay away from making definitive statements about any of them that we haven't heard. Mike said something in an interview about "5-6 songs with vocals" or something? Not sure what he means by that. We'll see what happens when the box set comes out. If you look closely, there's no that much logic of where or when they censor the songs. HT EP has two songs with explicit lyrics that were not censored, then you have two b-sides officially released on the In The End single APFMH and Step Up both not censored, you have also High Voltage (live) version from the LPU which was not censored too, while censored studio version of the same song was made available on the OSC single.
