  1. I'm gonna enjoy hearing Chester sing some Doors. This is gonna be great!
  2. I think that recording the new album is holding up the new album.
  3. I agree 100 percent. What I've Done was a much-needed song for Linkin Park. It's amazing that they made such a good song in as short a time as they did. I'm not saying it's the greatest thing since sliced bread or anything, but it is a very solid track that really transitioned the old Linkin Park sound with the new sound.
  4. I would like to think that they wouldn't have changed anything and that the direction they go is based solely on their artistic intent, but I think the only reason that they could afford to take the risk they did with Minutes to Midnight was because Meteora was so successful, allowing for more "brand recognition" so to speak that allowed them more freedom. So, in short, they would've either made a crap album very quickly or they would've bowed out silently after two albums and went their separate ways.
  5. I love Cure for the Itch. It's an awesome instrumental, but I just think that the other songs on the album (with the exception of maybe Crawling) are better than it. Linkin Park brought their A-game for their debut album.
  6. He looks like my physics teacher from 2 years ago.
  7. I wish this collaboration wasn't on a cover album. I'd much prefer a new song with Chester singing than a song by another band with Chester singing.
  8. Update everyone: Cure for the Itch 8 Forgotten 3 Pushing Me Away 2 By Myself 1 Crawling 1 the rest of the songs haven't been voted for. Cure for the Itch is losing by a lot. The final cut for the round will be about noon tomorrow. You're supposed to vote for your least favorite track. You can only vote for one track per round.
  9. I'd like to see a new song opening the show. Faint would be a cool opener if it had some sort of extended intro with the stuff kind of building and then everything drops out and the string intro starts. Also, I've always thought starting a set with the Bleed it Out drum solo into (of course) Bleed it Out would be a nice way to start a show. To everyone who said New Divide: I think it has much more impact as the first song in the encore. People will be looking for that one, so it would be better to throw it in near the end.
  10. I've played some like this in the past and it just takes too long, in my opinion. edit: my vote goes to Cure for the Itch
  11. I got this idea from over at the Nine Inch Nails forums. You vote for your least favorite song from the album and after 1-2 days, the song with the most votes is voted off and the next round begins with voting for your least favorite out of what's left. Changing your vote is allowed by editing your original post. Feel free to discuss reasons why you thinks songs should go/stay as long as it stays civil and you can clearly tell which track you're voting for. So, here's the songs from Hybrid Theory to vote on. 1. Papercut 2. One Step Closer 3. With You 4. Points of Authority 5. Crawling 6. Runaway 7. By Myself 8. In the End 9. A Place For My Head 10. Forgotten 11. Cure for the Itch 12. Pushing Me Away If people like the game, we can continue with Meteora and Minutes to Midnight when we're done with Hybrid Theory. Just thought it would be a nice way to kill some time before the album drops.
  12. I would like Valentine's Day a lot more if the final part didn't include the words "on a Valentine's day" over and over again. To me it just kills everything the track did up to that point. It seems cheesy in my opinion. Other than that, it would be one of my favorite tracks from Minutes to Midnight.
  13. I just can't possibly look at No Roads Left as part of the album (or Home either on With:Teeth) because both of those would ruin the absolutely perfect album closing of The Little Things Give You Away (and Right Where It Belongs).
  14. But it's remixes of the songs off of Hybrid Theory, therefore making it a remix album. Linkin Park has 3 studio albums
  15. I thought it was pretty cheap that they threw that bridge sample at us for the first look. They knew that people would assume rap verses, sung choruses with that clip.
  16. Why would you compare such an awesome song to such a crappy fast-food place? Also, Figure.09 is my favorite song from Meteora.
  17. Never cared for his music, but his impact on music is undeniable. He was a legend. R.I.P. Michael.
  18. It's been said by more than just one person that this is pointless or that Mike is laughing at us. It's just starting to get on my nerves a little bit.
  19. I really don't think that Mike is doing this "for the lulz." I'm sure that the puzzle has an actual solution and it is an achievable solution. It's a game for the fans to find out information about the new album. I think that the message says that the new album will be ground-breaking (the phrase is in there) and will be a double album (burst forth at once or whatever it said). Also, it appears to allude to the end of summer (the brightness falls bit), which may be a release date (such as the September 24 release date that has been previously posted about.
  20. Are we looking at a double album perhaps?
  21. i like the song, but i also see why they decided to keep it off minutes to midnight and release it as bonus content from the game. it's not the best song ever, but it has it's own little things that make it good.
  22. i'm sure they've brought it to more people than just that one DJ
