  1. ^ because it was released by the band and with the band's endorsement
  2. when i first got into linkin park, my favorite was chester because he screamed and sang and i thought "who is this rapper guy in my hard rock?" now it's definitely mike. he's so much more talented in my opinion.
  3. i'm actually editing the live version from lpu 6 into a "studio" version similar to what i did with wish from lpu 4
  4. i'm talking about a CD a CD is 80 minutes 1 hour 19 minutes 41 seconds is 79 minutes and 41 seconds, which is less than 80 minutes i'm not talking about an mp3 cd
  5. i actually have it on one CD in my car if you cut the rap outro off of and one (which i did because they cut it live), it totals 1 hour 19 minutes and like 41 seconds
  6. are you sure mike sings on my own summer? during every performance i've heard, he is doing shout-out type stuff during the second verse while chester sings it (example:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UkaPmGEaUro) if there is a version where mike sings the second verse, i'd love to hear it. unless i'm confused on what you mean by second verse
  7. I thought it'd be interesting to see what people's idea of what the "Best of Linkin Park" is. The only rule is that it must fit on one CD (less than 80 minutes) Here's mine: 1.lockjaw 2.papercut 3.leave out all the rest 4.points of authority 5.hit the floor 6.QWERTY 7.and one (no outro) 8.faint 9.in pieces 10.across the line 11.a place for my head 12.forgotten 13.no more sorrow 14.new divide 15.not alone 16.numb 17.step up 18.nobody's listening 19.it's goin' down (feat x-ecutioners) 20.foreward/don't stay 21.with you 22.one step closer 23.in between 24.pushing me away
  8. i picked across the line because i think it's one of the best linkin park songs released since hybrid theory but i agree with a few who said that the lyrics are pretty weak...but then again - so are the lyrics to so many linkin park songs (new divide and she couldn't aren't exactly examples of better lyrics either)
  9. i'm inclined to say QWERTY since i'm currently listening to it lol but, my favorites are slip out the back, where'd you go, kenji, and hands held (and i'd say qwerty goes in to round out the top 5) his lyrics in his raps got so much better when he made the fort minor album it's unbelievable
  10. definitely fake since the track listing is way different than the description given by the only official announcement, which sucks because i would've been looking forward to this
  11. http://www.noisecreep.com/2010/02/24/cypre...fore-new-album/ says mike's gonna be rapping on the album cool to see daron malakian, tom morello, and mike shinoda on this
  12. Rebirth is a collection of remixed Linkin Park songs that combine demo versions with the studio versions for an all-new version of each song. The initial idea came from the Faint demo on LPU 9.0. Since there were no chorus vocals, I decided to just paste the chorus from the final version into the demo version of the song. From there, I got the itch to remix other songs in a similar fashion and Rebirth was the end result. Track Listing: 1. Faint (Nothing Left) 2. Figure.09 (Look Behind) 3. Leave Out All the Rest (Fear) 4. Points of Authority (Sink or Swim) 5. Crawling (Raindrops) 6. Runaway (Move) 7. Part of Me (Willingly) 8. By Myself (Sad) 9. A Place For My Head (Hectic) 10. Forgotten (Afraid) 11. The Little Things Give You Away (Believe) The album is available now in mp3 format here. I'm open to comments on what can be improved, so feel free to give constructive criticism if you think something could sound better. Thank you and I hope you enjoy the end result of my hard work. Stay tuned for Rebirth 2.0 which is coming early 2011. Edit August 2011: You can find the Rebirth 2.0 thread here.
  13. i like the song a lot it reminds me of smashing pumpkins' adore album and that's one of my favorite albums ever
  14. TRT for sure i really just don't like out of ashes that much. WIC is a great song though. i did that http://lplive.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=2458 never got a comment though lol
  15. all i know is that i like it it doesn't really sound like minutes to midnight to me it sounds like adore-era smashing pumpkins to me to be honest edit: the guys confirmed it was a minutes to midnight song on loveline
  16. If Linkin Park and Jay-Z were to make another collaboration album, what songs would you like to see? I'd like to see Bleed It Out mashed with something of course

    History

i found it in a google search
  18. i don't see why there's so much complaining about a shorter album track-wise if the songs are longer, then the album will be about the same length time-wise there are plenty of really good albums that have less than 12 tracks
  19. people should be able to edit their thread topics in the forum
  20. i love faint, figure 09, fear, and drawing by myself and stick n move are cool to see those songs in such incomplete forms across the line is a cool b-side. i see why it was cut from the album, but it's still cool nonetheless a-six is cool. i think i'm gonna throw some fort minor acapella over that to make a song lol drum song was my least favorite on the cd, but i still like it
  21. 2010 will be pretty awesome for LP and also for Korn fans too since Head and Korn are both releasing albums (as well as maybe the other solo projects too) and there's other cool albums coming too and i'm graduating in june 2010 and going to college in september! it's gonna be a great year all around!
  22. it's not walking in circles (the only listenable song on the album) so i don't care about it
  23. korn has also started giving away exclusive tracks to their fan club
