Have to hear the full song... Chester's vocals don't sound bad at all, I like the beat and Mike's rapping in the end but there's something that has to convince me...

many people say that this snippet is too soft..

but if you look at ana's notes, you can clearly see that the song has two parts: the first part is very heavy with a "punkish/trashy guitar riff" and the second part is a ballad (i think the snippet is from this part)!!!

The 'softer' songs that a lot of fans hate are actually some of my favorite songs by Linkin Park, I think this song has the potential to be one of them.

I believe Ana's review said that this song started heavy but turned softer, so this could only represent half the song.

Ana's review said about this one (spoilered for those staying away from previews):

08. Waiting for the End [3:51]

1. Wow very punkish/trashy guitar riff

2. followed by a single key play

3. heavy song

4. Mike Rap -> Reggae/Jamaica Style

5. (emptyness)

6. Chester singing in a soft voice (beautiful): "Waiting for the end to come"

7. Drums fade in

8. A ballad, but could also be heard in a car while driving down a long road.

8.5/10

We haven't heard everything this song has to offer yet, it seems.

and this is from the other review ana wrote:

#6:

Rough Guitar Intro (repeats 4x) followed by single key notes and on this track Mike is rapping in a reggae style but still fitting to the guitars. Another break fades in where it calms the speed of the song down and chester sings: "Waiting for the end to come"

A ballad tunes in and the whole song has a cruising (californian beach style) rythm )

* A song you can actually dance pretty well to it in the club*

The rapping reminds of sean paul. The second half of this song sounds VERY poppish for now.

Lets wait and see how it will blend with the guitar intro.
