  1. This is why I hate when LPL tries to do live setlist updates when someone representing the site isn't at the show. The entire community is blowing up about the Can't Hear You Now debut, and it didn't even happen. And there will probably be people who think it did forever no matter how much effort is made to correct the info.
  2. Another thought that didn't occur to me until now: What if the track isn't even Burberry at all and this is another 100 Degrees/Hive situation (when Mike uploaded the 2005 VMAs score on SoundCloud he skipped one track number and uploaded 100 Degrees with the title "Hive")? Like maybe Burberry was the intended song and they just accidentally emailed Space Station to someone who didn't know any better? It would be highly unusual for an instrumental demo to be re-titled, after all.
  3. Half of these singers sound like they didn't even bother to learn the songs.
  4. You'd be amazed how easily guitar players at this level forget what tuning they're in, because they never really have to tune their own guitars. They commit the actual playing to muscle memory, but unless they have perfect pitch they probably have no idea if they're in E, Eb, D, or whatever. That's why when a guitar tech messes up and hands someone a guitar in the wrong tuning, it's usually a trainwreck (see: Points of Authority from KFMA Day 2014). True story that I've never shared publicly, but screw it, enough time's probably passed by now: When LP did Hybrid Theory in full at Download 2014, the crew contacted me to find out what tuning Forgotten was in. It had been so long since they played it that none of the guys who worked on guitars during the Hybrid Theory era were working for the band anymore, so they didn't have a clue if it was drop-tuned or not.
  5. Now it's back, but unlisted. What's going on?
  6. Video's been removed. Also, About You and Ghosts have videos too, there are 12.
  7. Should probably be noted somewhere on the show page that there are multiple cuts in the footage, the full performance was probably significantly longer than 25 minutes.
  8. Full audience video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6XH7DAq1hpY
  9. Chinese government gives zero fucks about things like context or translation. They take everything as literally as possible.
  10. China is EXTREMELY uptight about any kind of occult-type references in any kind of media. Crossing a Line was almost 100% certainly banned due to the "I've got demons inside me" lyric.
  11. Newsflash: People are really stupid.
  12. He definitely needs someone to sing backups if he ever hopes to shut up the hoardes of morons who claim he's lip syncing because of all the vocals present in the backing tracks. I also don't care for how he sounds singing grandson's part on Running from My Shadow.
  13. Why you are still accepted as, or even permitted to be, part of this community confounds and enrages me.
  14. Crawling multitracks are out as of about 5 minutes ago.
  15. This is a completely different thing from the remastered version of No Sun Today from a few years back.
  16. WBR won't let this happen.
  17. Tons of prerecorded vocals on live performances from ATS, Living Things, and OML. Mostly gang vocals on choruses and stuff.
  18. Whenever Mike's playing, Kirk Douglas is playing the same thing as him. I can hear them both just fine.
  19. High Voltage (Remix), H! VLTG3, Standing in the Middle, Wish (live LPU 4.0), Step Up (live version on the Somewhere I Belong single), the entirety of Live in Texas/LPU 3.0, With You (live LPU 2.0 - Chester says "let me fucking hear you, London" or something to that effect during the intro and it's censored), Reading My Eyes (live LPU 6), You Ain't Gotsta Gotsta, Bleed It Out (live LPU 7), and oddly, the live version of Big Pimpin'/Papercut on the Collision Course DVD has the line "no passion" censored for some reason. I may be missing a few.
  20. It'd be cool if they played teasers of various Mike songs as commercial bumpers throughout the show. Letterman's band used to do that with some of the musical guests he had on the show.
  21. Nothing abnormally quiet when looking at each song in a DAW. Typical brickwall mastering for the most part.
  22. Setlist: Castle of Glass Ghosts WFTE/WYG Crossing a Line Remember the Name Running From My Shadow *Edit* No outro on Remember the Name, and Mike messed up the lyrics to the first chorus of Castle of Glass.
  23. Over Again was intentionally shortened, Mike just second guessed which verse he was going into for a second. The instrumental was the second verse the whole time. Also Welcome had no intro, Mike started by immediately launching into the verse.
  24. Because playing a never-performed non-single from an album released 13 years ago under a different name totally makes sense when you're doing album release promo appearances. Lmfao. Might as well play X-Ecutioner Style too while he's at it... I also wouldn't say it's a sure thing that the Roots will back him for the performance, guys.
  25. Wouldn't be the only name that got dropped in reference to Fort Minor that ended up not being involved for whatever reason. The coded message on the back of the Sampler Mixtape listed several features that were supposed to be on We Major, which included Big Daddy Kane but he never wound up on it.
