  1. really cool, didnt know chaz wrote down syndrome, to me its actually very good lyrically. Loved the article.
  2. the Messenger, makes me cringe all over when i listen to it. Yet to pass 1 min.
  3. wow i'm really glad i read these since i would NEVER have known all these handy facts without them telling me
  4. great video, one of the better from the last few years.
  5. anyone with the original piano edit* ya basically that one, that song is so heavy and awesome, the 'new version' rapes the song IMO
  6. like always number 1 here, but we never get any shows :/
  7. lol if that was true..... no concert can possible book that many headliners
  8. i do think that some critics decide if they like a band even before they listen to the albums like some bands that used to be good will get good reviews even if it's a bad album and the other way around, but i think chester takes the whole critics thing too serious. Like with DBS he swore at some reviewers on twitter i think for giving the album bad reviews
  9. As i expected, MTM sold well after WID was released, WID ft in Transformers and enjoyed enormous success chart-wise. Catalyst has come and gone unnoticed. Also although ATS outshines MTM as a package and experience, MTM had bigger songs and that's what makes records sell. It seems LP are going down down sales wise which is a good thing music wise since they might actually leave WB and start making music on their own terms. I like it when LP sell well since... well i donno really. I guess we like to see them do well because we love them but sales mean nothing and if a decrease in sales make them make better music i'm all for it. Besides in the music business the whole "to be the on top you must be the best" does not count, you must simply make the most popular generic music out there. And i'm glad LP does not do that. edit* also looking at reviews some are so short you could swear they are reviewing a indie album not charting, it seems obvious that ATS came almost unnoticed, i guess it is because catalyst never really charted well but it's almost as if no one expected the album apart from the fans. ATS might turn out to be a sleeper hit. I do doubt that however. LP will lose fans because of the changes and we will just have to wait and see how many join.
  10. Your username: GraDoN Username of your nominee: Nameless Which prize they would receive: LPU CD's Nameless, to be totally honest i would have voted for him because i think he is a balanced and diverse member. Now i guess (no idea really) that's why he already is a VIP but that's not the point. So why do i think he deserves it? He is active, well mannered and apart of the community. Another thing that caught my attention was the infamous DangerSilent and how some people, funny as they were, seemed to add fuel to the fire with their posts. I respect people who knows that there is a time for everything. Cheers mate.
  11. depends who you are, some bands are expected to sell well and i'm pretty sure WB expects LP to do well. It's all about money to them. And LP have been a successful cash cow for warner over the last decade and LP does have a big fan base so to go platinum would be expected at the very least from a WB perspective. It also depend ons how people react to the new sound, and how the reviews go since some people buy solely on that. Problem for LP is that some people hate them on principle and judges the album before listening to it. I've seen one already.
  12. don't get your hopes up too high. I predict a 400-500 thousand US first week and about 1-2 mill less than MTM sold after a few years. It might do very well but we will just have to wait
  13. The album has grown on me and has jumped up my ladder to second after Reanimation. Nothing any artist will release or ever have released can give me the amount of satisfaction of Reanimation, it's just a flow and mash of all the sounds combined and it's a perfect match.
  14. what does everyone have against robot boy? must be racism.
  15. i really dislike The Messenger for some reason
  16. the problem with a band like J/K is that there are a few core fans who like both them and LP and then there are many who dislike them and like LP and also those who like them but not lp. I dont think there are enough of the "like both" to justify making them the supporting act. Financially that is.
  17. the music/melody, donno what you call it, in BITS kinda reminds me of the bad touch from bloodhound gang. Listen to the intro of bad touch.
  18. your speach sounded like a glomail advert lol THATS A 34% INCREASE IN MUSCLE DENSITY, BUT THATS NOT ALL! but seriously congrats
  19. im not that excited about ATS, some good songs but there are no songs that made go: "WOW!!". Lets just say i would add 3-4 songs at most to my playlist. After MTM i really hoped they would find a unique sound and although they did try, Mikes description of this 'out there totally different' album does not seem so unique too me. And they promise a "never seen before" life experience, well since it's mostly pop i dont see live live shows being very energetic. I think lp soft is lp at their best like in My December and She Couldn't. Both those songs are darkish, has some electronic sounds, mr hahn and MD has some weird sampling noises. They both are beyond awesome. Now i can't exactly tell whats so different between the soft songs now and then but the old ones has a feel to them IMO that make them awesome and unique while the ones on ATS seem so average and poppy. I like the dance feel of BITS and the synth of RB just like i like a lot of element of the songs but i cant find myself liking them as a whole. Maybe they will grow on me. For me it's a 6-7/10
