  1. I like the semi fan-fiction vibe you have going on. Lol
  2. I feel like you guys are taking the "hoes" thing way too seriously. I understand that LP has never had that word in a song, and no it's not respectful of women....but honestly, not to sound like a kid passing blame but... Stormzy said it. Listen to his album, and I'm sure you would be at least close to if not IN the triple digits on how many times the word "hoe" is used. LP just didn't put a filter on what he could and could not say.
  3. Did Danny Hayes win in his lawsuit against Paul Hutchinson? Or is that case still ongoing? Also, completely unrelated: Does anyone know if the voicemail interludes on Reanimation were legitimate voicemails, or were they recorded specifically to be on the album?
  4. I think they struck their best balance between great songwriting and great music with A Thousand Suns.
  5. I think the most likely thing is that when they got Stormzy's verse, apparently late in the process, they didn't wanna say "hey man you need to change this line or your verse won't make the song". After all, they realized he was huge and probably wanted his voice on the song. Which I guess is selling out lol. Still though I mean..I didn't even think about it that way until you pointed it out. If it was Mike I would have been shocked. With Stormzy though I think they just figured that "featuring Stormzy" was worth allowing "hoe" in the song. Personally I would rather have had 2 Mike verses, regardless of what Stormzy's lyrics were, but whatever.
  6. Guessing that's why Mike said it was different from any other song on the album. It departs from the personal, introspective nature of the other songs.
  7. "Don't you come back no more"? ....as in... no more, no more, no more, no more, hit the road Jack? Wow. Still excited for the song though. I get what they're doing here, releasing the lyrics first to keep in line with the whole "these came first!" thing. The lyrics aren't as amazing as they made it seem like they would be though.
  8. I don't know about Roads Untraveled. I know that Lying From You and Rebellion were in Rock Band, but as KlaytonShinoda said, they haven't been decrypted so they aren't in circulation.
  9. That video makes me glad Julia Michaels said no.
  10. The snippet apparently isnt Good Goodbye or ANY Linkin Park song. That voice doesn't sound like Mike to me anyway to be honest.
  11. If Recharged is anything to go by then I agree.
  12. Do you have a video of that? I ask because I've heard him reference Kendrick as one of his favorite artists more than once and I've also heard him use Kendrick as an example of someone he would like to collaborate with. "Asked if hed like to collaborate with Lamar, he replies: Yeah, sure. Chester and I were talking the other day about how great his most recent two records are. We were specifically talking about the artistry of his records that I feel is something thats starting to emerge in hip-hop. Like, Dre is an artist but his communication style is very overt and kind of literal. And Kendricks is complex and colourful and deep and politically charged."
  13. I definitely would go with album booklets.
  14. Cowritten. I don't see how that means it's not a personal record.
  15. Vocally it reminds me of WFTE. Not that those two songs sound alike, but it sounds like they could have been on the same album.
  16. Heavy was obviously aimed at radio, with a feature by Kiiara. That's been a success so far. You may hate Heavy but it's receiving regular radio play right now. I think Battle Symphony is a good song. I don't understand the amount of hate it's receiving. It's not even that much different that some songs they've made in the past. It would fit right in on ATS for example, and I personally feel that ATS is the band's best album as a whole thus far. Different people have different tastes. You absolutely have a right to your opinion, but not everyone thinks these songs are terrible. Obviously the band didn't since as you said they made the cut.
  17. They were probably referring to Heavy when they said "new".
  18. This list is a very interesting read. Once again, Linkinpedia is amazing.
  19. So since this is unauthorized, will these instrumental tracks just be from the leaks, or will they be upgraded versions? The HT tracks especially I would like to have better quality versions of.
  20. Well I know one thing. I don't think they finished all the lyrics before they made the beat if they have 2 guest rappers. This isn't a Kiiara situation where the song was already written before she ever met with the band. This might be the one exception to the "all the words were written before we started on the music" rule for this album.
  21. Far better song than Heavy. Everyone is shitting on the instrumentation but I like the music to this song better than songs like War or even Wastelands. Simple doesn't mean bad. Loud guitars and fast drums doesn't mean good. To each his own. Nobody has to like this song or even this album as a whole. That's the beauty of Linkin Park. Just wait out this album cycle and see what direction they go in next. If history has taught us anything, the band will be embarking on a new style while taking indirect shots at this album in a couple years anyway lol
  22. The two biggest live fails I've seen by Linkin Park, by FAR... now both belong to Burn It Down.
  23. According to them, this is what Mike makes them say, or else. Lmao
