The backlash LP is receiving is like a tradition now for LP albums. It's just different people who react negatively every time.

Why? They'll play Heavy and maybe 2-3 others from this album. The other 19 or so songs will be old songs..

I would think there's at least one song. At the very least an outro or a bridge, or something that includes screaming. Even ATS had Blackout, and that song shared an album with The Messenger and BITS. I think they could definitely work screaming into at least one song.

Some of this news is cool, some not. I'm slightly disappointed that there won't be much rap on the album, but I'll still love it. MTM had very little rap and is an amazing album regardless. Mike mentioning wanting to remix several dogs already makes me think they'll continue with the "instrumentals and acapellas" thing, which for this album particularly should be amazing to listen to.

What does that mean? Justin Timberlake is a 35 year old married father, and he makes pop exclusively. Adam Levine is 37 and Maroon 5 is way way further into pop territory than a song like Heavy is.

Maybe this album will have a title track.

They became the type of band that can jam together over the years, but they weren't at first. On the making of Meteora, they specifically stated that they were not a jam band lol

It's going to be catchy, lyrics aside. The melody and beat will be catchy I'm willing to bet.

This song is going to hit radio hard. I predict nothing tomorrow though, since "one more" is probably the single. Definitely it will sound better. This clip was Chester singing raw in the studio. He'll sound better on the final song.

I doubt it. The hype train doesn't run on weekends apparently. We didn't get anything at all last weekend. I think between Monday and Thursday we'll get the last 3 clips...and then Heavy's release on Friday.

I actually liked BID until it became apparent that it was impossible to escape that song. Of all the songs on LT, that's the one that casuals latched on to and said "LP's still got it". Then of course the 87 remixes didn't help much. It was an ok tune. Catchy... but it was overkill after a while. That being said, if Heavy can match or better BID's success as a single, it's probably worth it. Also yes, LP as a surprise at the Grammy's to debut Heavy would be incredible, but I refuse to get my hopes up for that lol.

I like how, post ATS, Mike is like "Ok, now we're at the point where I wanna take risks", as if that album alone wasn't full of risky songs for them at the time lol I like these conversations though. I really hope there's a "making of" DVD with this album.

There is no evidence to suggest that Joe isn't actively contributing to this album. It's like for MTM when a lot of people thought Mike was easing his way out of the band (or even that he had already left). We all saw how wrong of a perception that was.

Somehow I doubt that's true. Even without doing extensive research on their recent output and Joe's contributions to it, I don't think they would keep him around and pay him 1/6 of the royalties brought in just because they're good friends. I would be curious to see Astat weigh in on this lol.

If this IS it, I wouldn't mind as long as the single drops. That way we would have a single and an album release date.

They've gotten better. For ATS everything was black and white. Even the LPTV episodes were in black and white.
