Lol at this thread becoming a discussion about the social ramifications of depictions of rape on film. I haven't seen the movie but it doesn't seem like the scene is a glorification of rape.
Game of Thrones had a rape scene last season, and it's still one of the most successful shows on television right now. Those scenes are not meant to glorify rape, but rape is unfortunately something that happens in real life. To ignore it and pretend like it doesn't exist and never happens is not going to help anything. Nobody said rape was "cool" though.
It's not like people are saying "ooh I can't wait to see the rape scene!"
Anyway... I'm excited for the score. I can't wait to hear a full version of Luna, it seems like it could be one of Mike's best sung performances.
