  1. Well you gotta realize it's different this time. First of all, it's just Mike alone. So some of the older FM songs are out because they have multiple guest verses from SOB. Also I'm sure Mike didn't want to go out and just do the same set as before, and just add Welcome in. Could he incorporate older stuff through medleys or shortened versions, probably, but personally I'm enjoying this new set. The remixes are really cool and I don't feel like the non-FM stuff is taking over the set or anything. In my opinion, High Voltage could basically be seen as a precursor for Fort Minor anyway.
  2. I think it's hilarious that some people in his comments find it hard to comprehend that he's a fan of LP.
  3. The goal should be changed I think lol. It'll hit 100 by today.
  4. I would be willing to bet money that a lot of LP's music starts as one guy's idea which is then shown to the band and expanded on. For all we know, the other songs mentioned might have been ideas he wanted to work on and turn into Linkin Park songs. It seems like you're saying that these ideas can't be for LP since Mike started on them by himself, but I don't think that's true.
  5. "Fuck those guys." lol
  6. Jay Z performed "Picasso Baby" over and over for 6 hours before, also.
  7. If it was Jay-Z, featured on a Fort Minor song, it would have been promoted and probably a single. His star power alone would warrant that in my opinion. Far as I know, and please correct me if I'm wrong anyone, Jay-Z and Mike have never been on an original song together. The mashups on Collision Course are the only official songs that feature vocals from both guys I believe
  8. Yeah but what if there comes a point where LP winds up writing a song that would make use of that type of guitar in the future? He'd have to go out and buy another lol. I mean I guess if it's THAT rare that it's ever been used before it probably won't happen again anyway.
  9. Really? I know nothing about guitars, admittedly, but that still seems kind of odd. Don't Stay (and whatever other songs necessitate that type of guitar) aside, I wouldn't think he would get rid of all of a unique type of guitar that he owns. I don't know, again I literally don't know anything about guitars so I could sound really dumb right now. I guess there's a reason that Mike owns more guitars than Brad though.
  10. I don't think this could be considered new Linkin Park music. It sounds like a small beat he created to pass time on the flight honestly. It sounds cool, so I hope it does become something, but right now I wouldn't really consider it anything. Could wind up as LP, FM, or we may never hear that beat again lol
  11. Definitely! The middle section is the best. LOL
  12. Never gonna happen. I love metalcore (just look at my avatar. The top left are two members of Killswitch Engage/Times of Grace), but I just don't think that would suit Linkin Park very well. Not saying they couldn't do it, but I think they could do other types of music better.
  13. Oh yeah I agree that the instrumental was pretty good. It's the same kind of deal as Until It's Gone. I love that track instrumentally, but I just don't like the lyrics too much.
  14. If they went pop I think it could work, as long as the songs aren't like Burn it Down (I still don't do the all caps thing). To me, that song sounds like it's trying too hard to be pop. I could imagine that song being born from the band saying "Ok, let's write a radio song", and as a result I never could enjoy it.
  15. Wait, ever? In the 15+ year history of LP, they have never held a tour with no M&G until now? Wow... I feel bad for those fans.
  16. I don't see why people are reacting so negatively to this. So they're lending their names to products. So? If they can make money simply by saying "Linkin park supports this", then more power to them. As long as they're still making music, then there's really no problem to be had. We as fans can't get angry that they're cashing in on their name recognition. I actually think this is a huge positive. The music making aspect of the band isn't changing, but they now have a bigger marketing machine behind them, spreading their name out farther than it's ever been. This will inevitably only draw more eyes and ears to Linkin Park the band.
  17. I don't think LP would go on an "indefinite hiatus". I would be really surprised if that happened.
  18. I thought Devil's Drop was great. It had the same effect that the Ballad Medley had when it first debuted in taking the energy down and giving everyone a breather. I love the set. Hopefully we get a pro shot of a 2015 FM show.
  19. Nice setlist. I like how he has so much variety in it.
  20. Thanks! I hadn't seen that.
  21. "Ladies and gents, sorry to keep y'all waiting"
  22. Remixes... Stuff we wouldn't expect.... Hip hop remix of Wastelands? Lol that would be cool
  23. Damn, that's a really good point... A digital release would be great.
  24. I tweeted Ryu and asked if Mike decided to do another FM album and reached out for him to collab, would he do it, and he said "of course I'd do it". So I don't think it's really that serious of an issue anymore. It was a miscommunication and misunderstanding of what was happening with "Welcome", but I don't think there's any real bad blood between them. I actually think it's cool of Ryu to interact with fans on Twitter and be so open about everything.
  25. Wait why? FM isn't worth it without Apathy and SOB? Really? If Mike did a solo album and went full on NIN I think it could be better or at least just as good as TRT.
