  1. Thanks lol.. That was pretty weird
  2. What is the "dirty laugh" by Mike, which apparently happened on ITE at RaR 2004? What constitutes a dirty laugh? lol. There's a link on the showpage but it keeps sending me back to the LPL homepage.
  3. I think It Goes Through might have taken over No Roads Left as far as my favorite Mike singing track. I still have to see the movie itself!
  4. Ok normally I wouldn't care about stuff like this. It's his personal life and nobody's business, but this inconsistency made me curious... Does Mike have 2 kids or 1? On wiki it says only Otis, but later on in the same article it say he has 2 children.
  5. For the record I don't like the set. I hate BID it's the only LP song I dislike through and through. However, it is a single and was a mainstream hit. If faced with a shortened set, LP will always play the singles before anything else. It's just the way it will always happen. I think that's the main thing. I understand your displeasure at how they design their setlists, but it will never change. Singles do and always will take priority. They're the reason the majority of the audience paid to be at the show.
  6. My December brought back for one night only would be pretty cool, although COSE has the most likely prediction.
  7. People seem to think that LP/the LP crew are infallible, which is obvioulsy not true. Just look at Mike's quote in Astat's signature. They're human lol. 324 shows sounds like a number someone said in exaggeration that was mistakenly taken as literal. I think it's just one of those myths that will never die for casual fans who refuse to do any deeper research than "Hey, it's in the book. You guys don't know what you're talking about."
  8. I like Threat. Sounds like it could be a cool intro/verse beat.
  9. I wonder what song Mike was trying to play lol. Sounds familiar.
  10. He loves the COG Experience if I'm not mistaken.
  11. Honestly I would be bored after 11 years of playing the song at almost every show as well lol.
  12. Wait so if I went to purchase one from the site (which is still up) right now, it wouldn't work?
  13. Probably because their management wouldn't like it, if I had to guess. It does seem kind of crazy that the artists themselves have said it's fine to share them, but it's still not OK to do. Even though they created the music, they don't have final say on it's distribution.
  14. Really? lol it's still been in the mid 70's down here in New Orleans. We've had like 2 cold days so far. I was still wearing shorts on Christmas last year it sucked
  15. Another one that I'm sure had to have been asked in the past sometime, but I still want to know: What does Brad actually hear in his headphones on stage? Since LP uses a click live, does he hear it through his headphones? Or does only Rob actually hear it? lol I'm a noob about some of the more technical things like this.
  16. Sorry if this has been asked to death in the past, but I'm curious to know if there is any video from the 2004 Roxy show besides what made it on the CC DVD? The first 5 songs before Jay came out, or the first take of the Collision Course tracks?
  17. This should not haven't taken this many posts to clarify, but ok let's talk semantics here. Damian said "since LPU 5". That means that since LPU 5, every album has been better than this year's. If he felt LPU 7 was worse than LPU 5, he would have said "since LPU 7". I was only saying there was no way this year's album is worse than LPU 7, because indeed... LPU 7 was among those implied to be better than LPU 14. Yes, I specifically singled out what I personally believe to be one of the worst LPU albums ever.
  18. Well.. "Dave's Beat featuring Joe" makes me think it's a little beat Phoenix made, and Joe Hahn messed around with autotune on it. Also no way this is worse than LPU 7. You know the CD made up of live tracks that were already out on DSP's? I'm not gonna say "you're wrong", because that's your opinion. I just don't follow your logic.
  19. I don't think that's the only reason M&G's happen. Yes they DO make money from them, but they genuinely care about their fans as well. Music is their passion but it's also their career.
  20. I doubt LP has a limitless supply of fully formed songs to use as LPU tracks. Most demos start as instrumentals. Obviously not all of their demos are going to have vocals. I really don't see what is so hard to understand about that lol
  21. Some people seriously have a lot of nerve. Not liking the album is one thing, but actually criticizing LP because the album is comprised of mainly instrumentals is really bold. They don't have to release anything at all. A lot of bands have fan clubs complete with fees and all just like LPU, and they don't release demos from their vault every single year. I'm thankful they share with us what they do, it's always great to me to hear their works-in-progress, and even some of their abandoned ideas. We as a fan base are not entitled to hear every piece of unreleased music they have ever worked on. They release these albums because they appreciate their true fans. Personally I think it's awesome.
  22. I'm sure a lot of people will be upset at the abundance of instrumentals (and complete absence of Chester) but I like these tracks a lot. Really heavy stuff, and honestly that BTH demo makes me appreciate just how far Mike has come vocally.
  23. Most demos probably are instrumentals. Mike even said in the making of MTM, that prior to that record, their process was to "make a track, and then put vocals on the track."
