It would definitely be awesome, but I doubt Mike and Chester would want to play 2 shows each every night lol
-
I think he's throwing out subtle hints with all of this stuff. It's definitely possible that he's been working on some FM stuff in his free time from LP. It would be really awesome if that's what this turns out to mean!

There's no way this is from that acoustic performance. This is a studio recording lol. It sounds good, it's interesting. I like Mike's vocals in this, and Chester also sounds great.
-
I doubt it just based on the fact that I can't remember the last time they played it, but I'm pretty sure it's been at least 6-7 years. It wasn't a fan favorite as much as a song like APFMH, so they probably wouldn't have resurrected it for one night. I actually like the song itself though. I also like In Between though, so what do I know.

No love for Meteora? lol

Linkin Park Remix Election - Collision Course

He also did the entire first verse lol That being said, I'm gonna still vote against 99 Problems/OSC/POA. Only because DOYS and LFY are two of my favorites from both artists. -
Somebody ask about instrumental/acapella releases of the discography. Lol! "The album sounds very visceral. Was that the intent?"

Describing the technical aspects of instrumental after instrumental < Describing the mindset and state of the band circa the time the instrumentals were made. It's funny that Brad hasn't heard some of these before, probably ever, but the insight on the band is pretty cool. Plus (and this is not sarcasm), I found Astat's track by track just as interesting as I would have if a member of LP wrote it. So yeah Brad's insight is a nice look at LPU 14 as well as the band in general.

Have LP actually said that PR was gone forever? They're like one of the biggest bands in the world, and it costs too much? They could afford to do it anually years ago, but not now?
-
"This is called the Dave S Beat". Really??
-
I know you're asking Astat, but even listening to the instrumental (not in reverse) I hear the beep. I don't know that it's an EKG machine (if that's what you're talking about). I mean it's possible... I'm pretty sure it's not a guitar harmonic though. Thanks for the info. Well, it sounds pretty good regardless.

Did Lori Lee actually cover Numb? Or did some chick sing it and just say it was Amy's sister to get views? Normally I would chalk it up to the latter, but I've seen the same version listed as either "Lori Lee" or "Amy Lee's Sister" numerous times, so I was curious. It doesn't sound that bad either. It would be interesting if it's true.

I predict LP will come to New Orleans. Somehow, someway. In all seriousness I think Mike will be doing SOMETHING music related. He was in the state of mind to tour and play music every night, and now that's been pulled from under him. I doubt he'll just go do nothing at home. Actually that goes for everyone, including Chester. When they hit the road again, I think LP may play a few US dates to "make up" for the cancelation, but I think they'll hit their usual spots rather than the cities they had scheduled.

They've only canceled 2 shows so far. Hopefully that's all that gets canceled. Also, I wouldn't say you're the "odd one out". If I had spent money on travel and hotel accommodations, etc. I would be disappointed as well for sure. I just wouldn't take it out on Chester for not being "rock and roll" enough to just play through it. At this stage in his career I'm sure he doesn't feel compelled to tough it out and be in pain on stage. Chester is going to be 40 next year, he's past the stage of having to prove how tough he is. I get the money issues as far as LP shows go. That's why I've never seen them live yet. I see why you would be angry since the ticket refund is basically like "sucks about the hotel you booked though". I just really feel like I would be pissed at the situation and the timing of it all more than Chester for breaking his ankle.
-
You make it sound like Chester is being a baby or something. "Broken ankle? Be a man and sing from a wheelchair!" I mean we don't know the specifics of how severe the injury really is. It's hard to say he should continue traveling the country and performing every night. As far as the STP thing, I'm not sure how that became part of the discussion. It's like you think Chester is going to see this as an opportunity to ditch Linkin Park for STP. I just don't see him as that kind of guy. It sucks he got hurt, and I understand being pissed as well as disappointed because of the show you won't see, as well as the expenses lost...but I just hope he comes back soon, 100% healthy.

Didn't he break his leg IN Indy before the show? I realize he played with a cast and the scooter thing, but if he got it checked out after that show and was advised to not travel or play any shows by a medical professional, then I don't see how he can be blamed for this. It really does suck any way you look at it, and I know I didn't have tickets so I can't know how it feels to be let down like this, but it's more the situation itself that sucks. It doesn't show a lack of dedication from Chester or anything by not playing. Yes, Rise Against is from the "punk-rock" world, but I'm pretty sure if they had a broken bone and were told to stay off it, they would follow doctor's orders.

I agree with this entire post, and I can't speak for everyone, but I think the issue most of us have is not that they play softer songs. I personally just wish they would rotate it a bit. PMA Piano rotated with the Ballad Medley would even be awesome to me. BTH Piano like in Toronto '08 would be incredible, but I realize that would never happen. As for the last point, the issue (again) is not that they're playing all their old hits. It's the principle of the matter, that Mike literally contradicted himself by making a point to say that they would NOT become an act that goes out on tour just to play all their old hits and neglect their new material. They just dropped 2 songs from THP while on a tour that is NAMED after the album.
-
I remember when ATS came out, Chester said something along the lines of "I'm xx years old now, I don't want to scream at people anymore" and something about how he doesn't have the anger inside of him that he used to draw on in the early days when talking about the change in direction. Kind of funny that they've done a 180 on that point of view with THP.
-
Pretty sure they figure that the demographic of fans like us, who follow their tours and document their setlists, is pretty small compared to the casual fans who want to hear LP play ITE, Numb, and the other huge hits that will never leave the setlist. Doesn't explain why they advertised Brad rehearsing a "new song" though.

Sorry to be a noob here, but was Mike actually approached about doing the male vocals on Bring Me To Life? I've seen it online a few times that they approached Mike, but after he declined they settled on Paul McCoy.

I thought it was established that there were no multitrack files involved in this DLC pack. Even if there were, wouldn't it just be guitar and everything else? We have guitar tracks for all of these songs already.
