  1. This should not haven't taken this many posts to clarify, but ok let's talk semantics here. Damian said "since LPU 5". That means that since LPU 5, every album has been better than this year's. If he felt LPU 7 was worse than LPU 5, he would have said "since LPU 7". I was only saying there was no way this year's album is worse than LPU 7, because indeed... LPU 7 was among those implied to be better than LPU 14. Yes, I specifically singled out what I personally believe to be one of the worst LPU albums ever.
  2. Well.. "Dave's Beat featuring Joe" makes me think it's a little beat Phoenix made, and Joe Hahn messed around with autotune on it. Also no way this is worse than LPU 7. You know the CD made up of live tracks that were already out on DSP's? I'm not gonna say "you're wrong", because that's your opinion. I just don't follow your logic.
  3. I don't think that's the only reason M&G's happen. Yes they DO make money from them, but they genuinely care about their fans as well. Music is their passion but it's also their career.
  4. I doubt LP has a limitless supply of fully formed songs to use as LPU tracks. Most demos start as instrumentals. Obviously not all of their demos are going to have vocals. I really don't see what is so hard to understand about that lol
  5. Some people seriously have a lot of nerve. Not liking the album is one thing, but actually criticizing LP because the album is comprised of mainly instrumentals is really bold. They don't have to release anything at all. A lot of bands have fan clubs complete with fees and all just like LPU, and they don't release demos from their vault every single year. I'm thankful they share with us what they do, it's always great to me to hear their works-in-progress, and even some of their abandoned ideas. We as a fan base are not entitled to hear every piece of unreleased music they have ever worked on. They release these albums because they appreciate their true fans. Personally I think it's awesome.
  6. I'm sure a lot of people will be upset at the abundance of instrumentals (and complete absence of Chester) but I like these tracks a lot. Really heavy stuff, and honestly that BTH demo makes me appreciate just how far Mike has come vocally.
  7. Most demos probably are instrumentals. Mike even said in the making of MTM, that prior to that record, their process was to "make a track, and then put vocals on the track."
  8. Wait a minute are you saying Mike sung BTH? Apparently it's the "original Mike" demo.
  9. It's like 6:30 pm I'm starting to wonder whether something is wrong, or if I'm just impatient. Lol
  10. Was there a copyright issue with the HT + M instrumentals having direct links in the forums?
  11. Maybe it was down to them feeling like they weren't 100% sure they would nail it for the DVD show, or maybe they didn't want to put a song that only the hardcore fans would know in that set? Who knows, I realized that a while ago though.
  12. I mean I know that's why it was set A to begin with, but I still kinda wish they would have taken some risks lol. But yes, logically I see why they would stay within their comfort zone set-wise for a DVD release.
  13. I actually have to agree that it sucks that we got Remember the Name in 4k when we have a million proshots of it already, and he did High Voltage at the very next show.
  14. Awesome read! lol silk bowling shirt
  15. That was a revolutionary idea ahead of it's time! Lol
  16. I understand that they wrote the songs, and with that said they mean a lot to the guys... Still though, I can't see how they're cool with playing the same songs in (almost) the same order night after night after night for this long.
  17. They should release an EP. "Breaking The Habit: Live Around The World"
  18. The 2008 Toronto performance maybe. Lol
  19. Vocals would be awesome, but I'm sure they have a plethora of demos without vocals as compared to with vocals.
  20. Lol so they're literally not going to release the tracklist until the launch date apparently. Do they always do that? I can't remember but it feels like we knew the tracks pre-launch in the past. This will most likely be my first subscription to the LPU!
  21. Wow....I too always thought it was originally a 10 minute demo that the rest of LP convinced him to shorten and write lyrics for. Not sure where I got that from, but thank you for debunking that either way lol If the tracklist does actually turn out to be real, I would hope it's different as well.
  22. Soul I remember the fake THP tracklist, people were creating reasons as to why it sounded real. Lol. I take tracklist rumors with a grain of salt now.
  23. I'm sure Chester will hit the road with STP once LP's schedule slows down a bit. I'd like to see them live as well.
  24. Can you add me to the PM list? I understand Mike probably found it creepy and was pissed off when he found out he was being recorded, I would have been too. Just curious is all lol
