  1. So that's what Fort Minor meant? I could have sworn Mike explained it as something along the lines of meaning it as a reference to something loud (Forte - Fort) and dark (minor keys in music being darker). I know that I'm not completely correct but I SWEAR I remember him saying something like that. Ryu is essentially saying the entire concept of Fort Minor is down to Linkin Park and SOB (with the project's very name being a reference to them). Fort Minor was always Mike though, I've always thought that even since 2005. I thought it was Mike alone, but that he just featured SOB a lot. They were never official members of FM. I'll be honest, I can see why he's let down and disappointed, but unless more is going on then this one verse being cut out, I don't see how Ryu feels disrespected to the point of basically saying he regrets putting so much effort into his collabs with Mike. EDIT: Ryu just said on IG that Mike doing a one man show is like Paul McCartney touring solo as "The Beatles". There are so many things wrong with that statement....
  2. So one verse got dropped and he doesn't want to work with FM again? He seemed to be implying that while there's no bad blood, he won't be involved with FM anymore. To be honest I rather it be all Mike, even though Ryu is pretty good I thought he (and SOB) were over featured on TRT. Either way though, having your verse cut to me doesn't seem to be a cause to sever ties.
  3. What did it mean originally? It never meant anything, even then?
  4. Yeah you're right. I didn't go that far into it lol. I do think the more likely thing is that it takes the place of his solo medley altogether, which is fine by me at this point.
  5. I bet Mike will just do a verse from Welcome over the regular medley beat lol.
  6. Honestly as far as Ryu's situation goes, it's Mike's song. If Mike felt the song was better off as just him with no features, then that's that. It happens. This is not unprecedented in music, and even in movies sometimes an actor records a scene for a movie and it winds up being deleted for any number of reasons.
  7. I really do think he enjoys watching us try and piece everything together through pure speculation lol. I said it before we'll get an announcement of some kind tomorrow. Even if it IS just one song, I would expect solid confirmation one way or the other.
  8. I don't think it would be worth the effort of new merch, new logo, and all this promotion across social media platforms to release one new song and just go perform RTN on Conan and forget FM for another decade. I predict an announcement of some kind tomorrow on the show.
  9. I hope FM is just Mike this time around. With some guests. SOB doesn't have to be on almost every song like TRT.
  10. I hope it is a new song clip, because it sounds awesome lol
  11. "He kicked a large steel door and broke his foot" Is it wrong that I found that almost funny? I mean of course I feel bad that he hurt himself...but he kicked a "large steel door". Not a great decision, even if he was angry lol
  12. I hate how the vocals are mixed. It's cool that we have stems, though. I just wish the vocals didn't sound so weird by themselves.
  13. It's been established that LP are not comfortable with changing the sets to any great degree. There are singles they play every show that will never be dropped again, and the non singles they play don't change very often. It's just the way it is now.
  14. But did it always flash "Nov. 24"?
  15. That's awesome. It's definitely something... Too early to say, really, but I hope it IS a release date.
  16. I wouldn't call it a "cover", since the original song has their vocals in it. What if in the show notes you said something like "Darker Than Blood, altered for performance at this show, originally appears on Steve Aoki's album "Neon Future II""? That way it's clear that the performance is not how the song sounds originally, and that it's not from an LP album.
  17. I would think that if it's different from the studio intro, it should be noted. Even just "ext. keyboard intro" or something. It's still noteworthy. I love ALITS, but I never did understand the extremely huge demand for it to be played live. It's a good song but I personally could think of a couple others from THP I would rather hear live. Just my opinion, though. They can't please everyone, so I'm just happy they changed it up a little and added a new song.
  18. I agree... I think when people saw Tom Morello was doing a collab with LP, they expected something that sounds like a RATM track. When they realized it was a soft instrumental, they hated it immediately. If it did NOT feature Tom Morello, a lot more people would agree with you.
  19. Honestly I totally get why the video is basically all about Paige, but I would have liked to see Mike recording a little, or at least heard part of the scat verse he mentioned in the beginning. I'm just glad we got anything though at this point.
  20. I'll admit that I hadn't heard a Helmet song in my life before AFN came out, but even then I could recognize that the lead vocal in the chorus wasn't Mike.
  21. I hope they post more than ONLY the collaborations. I wouldn't complain though, I'm just glad we have some footage from the studio during the making of THP. AFN is one of my favorite songs on the album so it's cool that they would start there.
  22. It's on Netflix??? I'll be watching it today, then.
  23. He could quit and get it back like he's riding a bike.
  24. I have LPL bookmarked on my computer, but the link ends with /forum lol. I basically bypass the home page every time I visit the site.
  25. Dude, seriously? I only know of a couple people here who don't like LP at all post-Meteora. For you to say that the site is filled with those type of fans is crazy to me. LPL doesn't suck either. I love this community, and I think it's great to be able to come here and discuss my favorite band of all time. I appreciate the effort everyone puts in here. I know you once said you are confrontational on purpose, but there's a line between debating something, and just being intentionally unreasonable and inappropriate. There was one song Mark said was garbage. You love the song, so you naturally disagree. It's not as if you've never spoken out against the bands' work before though. You originally hated ATS if I remember correctly, so I'm not sure why you took it personally this time. Linkin Park ventures out into so many different styles that naturally some people will dislike a few songs. It's not that big of a deal.
