  1. I feel less dumb now, then. It's funny that Razor sounded so confident about it.
  2. Part of me thinks that one of the guys SORT OF sounds like Mike, but I'm not sure. Either way I don't think that's the LP song that she's featured on.
  3. I wish I knew enough about reading music to understand how these numbers translate into the melody we heard in the video.
  4. She had a mainstream hit with "Gold", but she isn't a particularly huge name. Also, for the record, Linkin Park is "mainstream" as well, and they are also talented musicians. It's not very fair to imply that most mainstream artists are not talented lol.
  5. That piano video reminds me of the chorus of Mirror by Lil Wayne and Bruno Mars...
  6. Astat, what's the first most annoying? I'm sorry I just got curious after reading your post lol.
  7. Yes. I'll be waiting for everyone to say they're pleasantly surprised despite expecting the worst.
  8. Sometimes I forget how cynical the LP fan base can be. Lol... Let's at least hear the song first.
  9. He literally said "New music is on the way. Hmm what else can I tell you? I can't tell you guys much." Lol. Incredible update from Mike tonight.
  10. I was just looking at the show page for the show where Collision Course was filmed (http://lplive.net/shows/db/2004/20040718), and I see in the notes: "Mike came out and said, "Hey guys, I know it's hot but MTV fucked up the lighting, so we're gonna have to do the Jay-Z songs again, is that alright?"" My question is, with that being an exact quote, is there video of this? Or of any of the first takes of the CC songs? Even audio? Basically, I'm asking if anything has surfaced from this show (audio or visual) besides the hip-hop medley, the first take of Numb/Encore, and the second take of all of the CC songs.
  11. I definitely don't think they should release the whole album as a "surprise". It would flop and sell horribly. Linkin Park isn't Beyoncé or Drake. They both released an album with no promotion beforehand, but they're both about as famous as you can be. LP, as much as the truth may hurt, can't just do that and expect it to go well. Releasing a SINGLE that way could work, but not the album. Announce the release date in advance, and provided the single is at the very least a modest hit, the album should do ok.
  12. I wouldn't even be upset if that was the case, at this point.
  13. Sounds like he said "single coming up" right at the start of the video. I could be wrong. Hopefully I'm not.
  14. I can't remember the last time I saw a recent commercial for any album that wasn't Now That's What They Call Music, or the Tony Bennett Celebrates 90 album. Lol
  15. Does anybody remember what show it was that Mike's equipment failed right after The Radiance? It prompted Chester and Brad to go through the chorus of Iridescent with the crowd a couple of times.
  16. ^ I actually used to love that song when I was younger. Lol
  17. I personally like this song way more than Darker Than Blood. Lyrically, structurally, the melody, etc.
  18. This is extremely premature since we haven't even heard the first single from the album that isn't named yet, but I wonder if they'll release the instrumentals and acapellas again like they did with LT and THP?
  19. Yeah I read a recent interview where he said he wants to release a few more singles before the label has a platform to release the album from. He's implied several times that the label thinks the album will flop because it's not mainstream enough. I personally don't see how that's the case since as Astat pointed out, he's not exactly struggling when it comes to sales and recognition. I think it's lame that he got so pissed that a version of the song was leaked (which apparently isn't even the final version), since he did debut it already before that, and leaks happen. It's one of those things that is just a part of the music industry. I can see how an artist may be frustrated at a premature leak, but it's not worth it to cancel a planned release altogether.
  20. If I remember correctly, Mike has been corrected a few times when it comes to dates of demos, Chester joining, etc, and he basically said none of the band know what they're talking about.
  21. I remember where I was the first time I heard this song. I was 9 years old, in the car on my way home from school. My dad asked me had I heard the song before, and turned it up. It was the first Linkin Park song I had ever heard. My dad bought me the single shortly after. In The End means a lot to me personally, and will always hold a special place in my heart.
  22. This is so amazing.... I'm looking through these articles and I've learned so many new things already! There was clearly an immense amount of hard work put into Linkinpedia. I'm really thankful that you guys did this. It's inspiring how much you all care about the community. LPLive truly is the best online community that I've ever been a part of, it's really like a family!
  23. This was a great read. I'm so glad to be a part of this community! I'm also very thankful for all the hard work that's gone into getting LPLive to where it is today.
  24. That's definitely Mike. The question is whether that's a song that's planned for LP7 or if it's a collab for another artist that's featuring Mike. Either way, I like this clip. It's only 10 seconds long and it sounds like it'll be good when we hear the finished product.
