  1. I'm just excited that New Orleans is on the list, even if that REALLY means somewhere in Texas probably.
  2. I don't know why they would, since LP plays for like an hour and a half, and even if LP plays 5 new songs that means 75+ minutes of older material. Hardcore fans would know that since Mike already said they aren't sacrificing older songs for new ones.

    Japan Promo

"I am not the fortune and the fame, nor the same person telling you to "forfeit the game"." Always loved that line, and that's basically exactly what Chester was saying.
  4. I promise I had a weird feeling when Mark basically threw in the towel lol. Doesn't seem like something he would do you guys really went all out with first finding the song and then keeping it under wraps to be a surprise!
  5. Nice one
  6. I remember a lot of people being completely convinced that the band was saying "fuck you" to their own fans and being intentionally disrespectful. It was pretty hilarious.
  7. Lol. Every time I think of that CD I always remember what was essentially a formal apology that was issued by Mike, after the entire fan base showed that they needed to lighten up and were incapable of taking a joke. I liked it because MTM had a lot of songs with heavy subject matter. Hearing them joking around during that process and seeing how they would unwind and bring some levity to the proceedings was cool to me.
  8. I think the effort alone that gets put into these posts deserves more than that. Anyway, this is pretty cool. I was wondering if they would do a release show. Hopefully another "legendary" moment happens this time around.
  9. "A tough little song" lol Heavy is the little song that could.
  10. They'll be going in a new direction next album. Most people who are asking where that Meteora sound is, I'm SURE don't know that. They seem to feel like this is the first time they've ever switched gears. If you don't like this album, that's fine, just wait it out. They won't stay this way if history has taught us anything. As a matter of fact, RogueSoul literally predicted this direction 3 years ago. This wasn't just out of nowhere. Also, their live shows will still be great. They'll still be playing all of those older songs, and these new ones will be played by the full band. It will have a different vibe live, I'm pretty sure.
  11. There are definitely guitars in this song.
  12. "It's like twenty-something" -Chester LOL
  13. Collaborations on the album doesn't mean they're out of ideas. They just wanted to collaborate. Creativity isn't a finite resource, you don't just "run out" one day. Also, I disagree with your assessment of their work lately. MTM/ATS were Linkin Park's best albums to me, but it's not like LT/THP/OML are bad albums by any means. Different people have different tastes. On this site alone, I've seen people who think HT/M are the band's weakest albums, and I've seen people who think HT/M are their only good albums. It's all subjective, and it's what makes this community so interesting. Trashing the band though and insulting their work without being constructive is just a waste of time, though. @GraDoN What you said is also subjective. You say the band isn't talented, as if that's just an unspoken fact that is indisputably true. There are literally millions of people who would disagree with that statement, though. I am one of them. I feel LP as a collective, are a talented band. Do they have misfires? Yes. Any band that switches up their style as many times as they have are bound to have a couple of misses, but as a whole I think they are an innovative band that's very open to change, and almost always pulls it off.
  14. Yeah, I definitely got the feeling that Stormzy didn't meet the band in person until the video shoot.
  15. This is great. As you guys mentioned it's awesome to see the band just having fun together as friends
  16. Yeah. I like some of his songs, but he's just ok to me. In his mind, I could see him think collaborating with LP would bring his status down. LP aren't at the peak of their mainstream popularity, and they aren't OVO. Lol Heavy and Battle Symphony both have guitar, bass, and drums. We've been through this multiple times. Every band member is involved in every song.
  17. I'm just saying, and I know I might catch some heat for saying this, but Drake would have fit in well on this beat and the single would have went to #1 instantly because of his name. That being said, I don't think that's a collab we'll ever see. Also I agree about there being no bridge. All the deliberate talk about how this album was not thrown together falls a little flat when this song was clearly thrown together (by LP standards). My other criticism is Mike's verse. "Longer than I've been alive, you idiot" is cringeworthy, especially from a lyricist who we've seen countless times being a total perfectionist.
  18. My favorite track so far from OML.
  19. I have a few LoG songs in my iPod, and I think Randy Blythe is an awesome person, but honestly none of their albums are better than any Linkin Park album in my opinion. Overlord is far and away my favorite song by them.
  20. We could do that, if Lamb of God was a Christian band. Which they are not. Lol
  21. He rapped like one line from Encore. Also Rakim was an influence on Mike already. Rakim's flow wasn't as much of a stretch as Stormzy's would be for Mike to adapt to. Listen to any Stormzy song and then imagine it being rapped with Mike's style. Maybe not the best idea lol
  22. Mike himself actually said "hoe" on that album. I'm surprised people pissed at this song weren't pissed then that he chose to say the word rather than censor himself or replace it. "Money, cash, hoes. He's from the hood, stupid, what type of facts are those?"
  23. You actually bring up a good point. I wonder if, live, they'll shorten the song to just 2 verses and include the Mike verse that got sidelined for Stormzy.
  24. They never said they were all about life problems. Mike said every day they would think "what's on my mind today?" Combine that with him saying they would aim to write a song every day, and it's not hard to imagine one day he wrote about basketball. Even serious albums could use a moment of levity.
  25. I like the semi fan-fiction vibe you have going on. Lol
