Geki: the DVD will work with your computer, most likely, since you can easily switch regions on a PC at least a few times. Regular DVD players, PS3, etc, might be out of luck.
I'm in the US but just got a copy on eBay for $20 shipped. Hopefully the DVD will work in my PS3!
Really, really cool of them to include the MP3's of the show. I bought the EP on iTunes but it'll be much better to have the pro mix of the entire Madrid gig.
Get a clue kids. Just because "Hahn" in the title doesn't make it a Joe diss track, and Lethal has been nothing but complimentary towards LP on his Twitter account. There's no feud.
WJL is such an incredible waste of time on the album, and it translates exactly the same, if not worse, live. I can't even justify it's presence with Mike's piano playing, which is minimalist at best. I'd be bummed if it was edited off of my show, so they should retire it.
"Robot Boy" reeks of interlude. It's kind of like the ugly half-brother of "Jornada Del Muerto". I love the live version of "The Messenger", but Chaz' voice seems too strained and hurts my ears on the album version, too. Good voting, LPL
Now we're onto something! The past is old news. LP need to be playing new stuff, b-sides, and demos they're working on before the show. Anyways, back to the reality of loving a mainstream band
Great, insightful review, "Mike fangirl" or not. I'd like to see more (or all!) of "A Thousand Suns" played live, too, but will take what I can get. Summit sounded great
What the hell is up with that encore? If I detect even the slightest hint of this setlist in Boston, I'll be leaving after "Bleed It Out". (which, BTW, is an excellent closer if it has the extras like APFMH included)
Thanks for all the show notes Astat. Jealous you got to see/hear BITS!
Awesome news. Fuse will censor the audio, but the DSP and some quick editing will fix that. Hopefully we'll get alot of ATS stuff and not just the normal "greatest hits" routine
Pretty genius marketing by LP. They know I want to see "Burning In The Skies", so of course they won't play it regularly till the NEXT tour. I wonder if there is an option to just auto-transfer my tax return into LP's bank account?
Seriously though, swapping around the order of the songs does nothing for me. 3 completely different setlists (you know, with DIFFERENT songs?) is the impossible dream of the hardcore LP fan.
Surprised they didn't do a better job cross-fading the tracks, being the trigger-happy editors LP are. "New Divide" fades to silence then "Waiting For the End" fades back in. Just weird for an official LP release. Wish the release had a different conclusion than "What I've Done", too. "Bleed It Out" was perfect on the satellite rip!
I know Brad's sick, Equipment doesn't work, it's hot, Mike's hair was in his eyes, yadda yadda, but that setlist is old news and blows. I know it'll get better but ouch for a first show. Soundcheck sounded cool
They need to collaborate with a big name like Kanye or Lil Wayne, not a has been like Busta or been-there like Jay. Ultimately I'd like "Reanimation" 2.
I don't see LP getting the same treatment McCartney & U2 got, ie, performing any more than the two normal songs. I'd assume "Waiting For The End" is a lock, but unsure they'll play "Burning in the Skies" on TV if it's still as demo-y as the DSP's have been.
No More Sorrow, Somewhere I Belong, Robot Boy
Honorable mention goes to the part of "Little Things" where Chester just goes "woaaaaaaaahhhhh" for 14 minutes
My fingers are crossed for it to at least make most of the US Tour setlists. I'll keep buying overpriced tickets and sitting through singles till it happens, damnitt
Chester has a bad track record of collaborations not coming to fruition. Cool that we got the DJ Lethal track, but whatever happened to him covering "Head Like a Hole" with Korn?
I've listened to Melbourne a few times and LOVE hearing BITS & Blackout live, but definitely hope they fix the little things, like Mike's vocal effect on the first verse of BITS & Chester's forgotten lyrics in Blackout. Love the vocal effects Chaz uses on "Blackout".
I hope both stick around for the US tour, too. I'll be pretty depressed if I have to sit through "Wisdom, Justice & Love" instead of "Blackout."
Picking a favorite Beatles song is like picking a favorite child. Impossible for me, and I'm not even one of their hardcore fans. I'd rather pick a favorite song by each band member, ie, "Something" is my fav George track, "Ballad of John & Yoko" is my fav John song, etc.
Mike's choice is hard to argue with. Excellent song!
