TheGinge Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 Unsure if this is known, but at approximately 10m:19s in Die Hard 4.0 / Live Free or Die Hard, a Hybrid Theory era poster can be seen on the wall of Matthew Farrell's (the character portrayed by Justin Long) apartment. Quote

ChuckCheese Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 Starting in 2012, the band started playing "No Sleep 'Til Brooklyn" by The Beastie Boys over the PA before every show. The band used to play a bluegrass version of One Step Closer over the PA at the end of shows. Since 2012, the band has played "The Roadie" by Tenacious D over the PA at the end of every show. Quote
lpplus Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 (edited) "In Pieces" lyric in MTM booklet: and you/you will be alone alone with all your secrets your regrets don't lie And this is what we can hear in the album: and you/you will be alone alone with all your secrets and regrets don't lie Edited February 28, 2013 by lpplus Quote
hahninator Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 Meteora Booklet Note For "Figure.09": "This song originally had rapping in the verses, then was re-written with singing verses during the the process at NRG The singing part remained until the recording process was finished. Then, while mixing, Brad, Mike, Chester, and Don swapped the rap verses back in, deciding that the rapping made the song more interesting. The rest of the band didn't hear the final version of the song until the entire album was complete." Quote

Astat Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 Linkin Park actually had TWO songs on the soundtrack for the 2004 surfing documentary "Riding Giants." Cure for the Itch and Don't Stay both appeared in the movie. Quote

Pez Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 This ones a little bit of an odd ball. Well first of all Clarity and Bunker from LPU 12 are seeds that started during the MTM recording process. Second of all, I believe 'Song C - You don't know' could be What we Don't know from LPUX CD. This would make it two songs (the other being Song Q aka Hand Held High) that were originally Brads Seeds that we know of. I think 'Yo!' might of been one too but there no info on if it had a Song # title, LASTLY, I can see something a little interesting, there's a folder called 'get what I deserve' which of course is lyrics to what we know as New Divide. The question is, did LP go back to Seeds and recreate this under the name Megatron (Remember, the Transformer 2 track ideas were called Megaton and Bumblebee) or is this really just a coincidence.... Someone posted about it in another thread. Aparently, it is mentioned in the LPU 11 newsletter. Edited March 7, 2013 by lpliveusername Quote
Pez Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Two random ones I read/thought of... -Linkin Park were the last ever band to headline the Livid Festival in Australia. The festival was discontinued after the 2003 shows. -One Step Closer is the only Linkin Park music video to be shot with Standard Definition cameras (you might want to research that one). Quote

JZLP-Benningstrong Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 -MTM had a chance to be a selftitled album, the other possible names were: ''In Cold Blood'' ''Almanac Diction Art'' ''Leave Out All The Rest'' ''All The Rest'' ''Argue, Agree'' ''In Triumph & Tragedy'' ''Ascend'' ''What Is Wrong With Me'' Pretty sure that this was already posted but anyway this is one of my favorite facts as long with a working name of a Avenged Sevenfold track called ''Linkin Park'' Quote
