Unless it's a really rare live song like HTF, ETR, VD, IP, etc., all the other ones are easily found on Youtube in good quality, but a piece of music by them never heard before? That's dope. Hope they take time to heal and release something. My post wasn’t entirely true actually. I’d love to hear songs from the old days from like 1997-2008 but with vocals and stuff. Something old school like a demo from those eras would be cool. But for recent album cycles, I would just prefer demos of songs that made the albums. Like I’d love to have all 150 MTM demos but I know that won’t happen. Haha. Or stuff like Thoughts That Take Away My Pride and Pictureboard, but I know we won’t get those. I just think a lot of the demos we have received from 2009-now are kind of shitty. But I do like all the old school ones from the first three albums, even the instrumentals. I wasn't around the LP community then, (I was a wee one) but I heard of problems manufacturing the CD, and it was released March of 2003 I think... I didn't think they would even do LPU this year, so to see anything at all is a surprise. It's fine to be disappointed that there's no music, but vocalizing that disappointment feels like it's a little much this time around. Don't like, don't buy. Supposedly Warner was so uptight about leaks from the Meteora sessions that they prevented the release of the CD for several months just because of the presence of A.06, even though it had already been established that it wouldn't be on the album. Why would anyone pay for this? Because they see the value of being part of a community, particularly in the wake of everything that's transpired over the last four months, instead of just being an empathy-devoid, "I only endorse the existence of what I think the band owes me" pseudo-fan like you? I was looking forward to unreleased demos. very disappointed ive been waiting this for so long, i really do get it why there is no cd, but for me no cd=no lpu, i would prefer if they released it 5 months in the future with a cd rather than this. I agree with you. Also for me. NO DEMOS = NO LPU. Very disappointing, definitely not joining this year. If they would like to release some music during next year it will be mentioned there, something like "bi-monthly" released tracks in 2015. Demos are NOT necesary, I would be okay with releasing second half of the live tracks which aren't on OML LIVE cd, Wastelands or Catalyst live were badass this year. Exactly. Like I actually feel like if you are a true fan you can understand why there is no music. Sure i would like some "new" music. I especially love the little bat in this, it's adorable! I've been captivated by this from the moment I saw it though. To me, I see it as showing that even though a part of us is missing, even though the loss has left a gaping hole in all of us, there's still an opportunity for life to grow in it's presence. There's still a way to find beauty. I still had a few months before renewing but I really admire them for what they've been doing these last few months. They could have easily satisfied some petty fans and made the live album an LPU exclusive, but instead they made it available to everyone, as it should be. And as for LPU17 CD, I have hope they'll give us something later on. They need time, and I'm a patient person. They've never once given me a reason to doubt their love and appreciation for their fans, so I haven't a reason to stop supporting them. They're still picking up the pieces, I'll be sure to show them they're still loved by supporting them in any way that I can.
