I believe that's the same Telecaster that Mike posted a picture of on his blog before - http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b168/bul...reewebs/m25.jpg Looks like he just took the metal cover off the bridge. And yeah, that's Mike's home studio. The drum kit is probably just there for rough ideas or for when Rob's working with Mike at his house. Joe has a drum kit in his home studio as well, even though he doesn't play (as far as I know).

Hard to say, really, as there's not much visual record of the band prior to 2000. But going by what Brad's using on the Esaul 1999 performance on Frat Party, he was using the same blue PRS CE 24 that he used throughout 2000 and the early part of 2001, a Mesa/Boogie head and a Marshall cabinet. I'd imagine his HTEP gear was pretty similar.

It IS a fake. 100% confirmed. This bootleg has been around for quite a while.

CHESTER DUN CARE BOUT LP ANYMORE ALL HE DOES IS DBS STUFF NOW, LP GONNA BREAK UP NOOOOOO! :( Oh, wait...
-
I've said it before and I'm not afraid to say it again: Anyone who thinks Linkin Park is going to break up because of DBS is a fucking moron.
-
I wouldn't call it a "hip-hop medley," but I do have my own idea of a medley that I think would work extremely well (although there's no way in hell they'd ever do it): Papercut (first half)/A.06/Hit the Floor (intro/first verse/chorus/outro)/Papercut (second half)
-
Pretty sure that IS a sample of Mike's part from the studio version.
-
Personally, I don't care if DBS and LP continue to co-exist as long as Chester doesn't end up burning himself out (creatively and/or performance-wise) because he's spreading himself too thin. However, this comment puzzles me: "Where we're at now with how we view ourselves as songwriters, had these songs been written now, there probably wouldn't be a Dead by Sunrise." If the above is true, is it really even necessary to keep Dead By Sunrise going beyond this one record? It's almost like Chester's saying DBS is just an outlet for his rejected Linkin Park song ideas.

Could just be that Mike's involved in one of the many new projects Ryu's been working on ever since Tak split from the rest of the crew. He's been plugging GBC quite a bit. I think the fact that Mike's not the one sitting at the computer makes it kind of unlikely that this is for something new with Fort Minor.

DBS continuing to exist at all is apparently something that the majority of people on here don't like.

The Macao version has a great intro, but the performance of the song itself isn't very good... I might try to put the Macao intro on the Transformers premiere version sometime.

New 8-Bit Rebellion song called "Ten Minutes To Midnight"?
Astat replied to BNCMajor's topic in Everything Linkin Park
It wouldn't be in the German version of Rolling Stone and not be in the English version of Rolling Stone. I guarantee this is a case of "lost in translation." -

Bullshit. -
Why WOULDN'T they? The game is being released to the general public, an unreleased song gives people incentive to buy it, and Rolling Stone is a major media outlet that will inform people about it that wouldn't have known otherwise.
-
Mike referred to Across the Line as "a brand new, unreleased song," and that was from the Minutes to Midnight sessions. http://www.mikeshinoda.com/blog/special_ev...d_track_listing The band has used that EXACT phrase, "brand new song" to describe any song that is previously unreleased on numerous occasions. I almost guarantee that it's another MTM b-side if it isn't an instrumental track like Lockjaw.

There's always the possibility of DBS announcing more dates though.
-
LOL! It's being made by the same company that did Amateur Surgeon and 5 Minutes to Kill Yourself? This makes me want this game even more! I hope some genius can crack the game and make a version that's playable on Windows.

There's no page for the Slash & Friends show yet, but I don't know the info for that one off the top of my head anyway. LESTAT probably does.

Yes, we do. We have since the day after the show: http://www.mikeshinoda.com/blog/charity__e...__deftones_show Nobody's bothered to add the show page yet. Are you ever going to make an intelligent post?

Maybe they'll offer a free download of a show of your choice for LPU members? That's about the only other thing I can think of.

You must really have a thing for Finnish people. Ever been to Finland? Let me guess, your favorite song is Breaking the Habbit? Uhh, read Mike's quote again. He didn't say those songs are completed, he said "they're in all states of completion." Meaning they could be anywhere from brand new seeds that consist of nothing more than a beat and a scratch vocal track, to completed demos. The band has 5 songs that are mostly done, and everything else still needs to be finalized. This album is nowhere close to finished. Mike just said they were approximately "halfway done" a couple weeks ago... Some of the guesses on the release date in this thread are optimistic to the point of being absolutely delusional. Minutes to Midnight was pretty much finished by the end of January in '07, but it took them until the middle of May to release it. LP could finish this album TOMORROW, and the absolute earliest it would come out is sometime in April. Once an album is done being recorded, there are still months worth of planning and promotion that have to be done before it can be released. That's just how major record label timetables work. I'm still completely confident that the album will be out this year. But the absolute earliest I can see it happening is August, and even that's a stretch. No.

99.9% sure it's not the new song from the game. Why the hell would they release the song online first when it's the final prize for beating the game? That wouldn't give people any incentive to buy the game in the first place, which is the exact opposite of what you're supposed to do when marketing a new product... Anything DSP-related doesn't make much sense to me either, other than maybe announcing it to the LPU first (which isn't anything special anyway). The DSPs are probably going to be for sale to the general public, there isn't a whole lot they could do special for the LPU involving them. It's probably a preview of the game.
