Interesting, now the site is completely gone, it just redirects to linkinpark.com.

Yeah, something's definitely screwed up here... Auckland (2nd night) - Missing track 8 Melbourne (2nd night) - Missing tracks 8, 12, and 15 (and either Shadow of the Day or Crawling is missing altogether...?) *Edit* Gee, Melbourne 2nd night was when Chester broke his wrist! That totally doesn't scream "Edit out some songs to make Chester not sound bad" at all! How the hell do you screw up something this simple and expect people to pay money for it?

I'm just hoping a good DVD pops up from one of these shows that was shot by a taper who actually knows how to film a damn show - I'm sick of looking at Youtube videos from this tour and finding nothing but videos that focus solely on Chester. I thought people who recorded LP shows were terrible about that, but the DBS fans are easily ten times worse.
-
Got a message on Youtube pointing out the following: So there you go. Apparently Chester still went on the show and just did an interview.
-
Can't blame them if they just wanted to cancel this for no reason other than needing a break, really. Had they played this show, it would mean they'd have to finish the tour by playing 6 shows in 6 days. That's absolute torture for a touring band.

That first one is most definitely NOT fake, as has been pointed out already. I've had a copy of that for years, it even has the phone numbers for the UK division of Warner on a sticker on the back of the slipcase. I personally have NEVER seen an example of a fake promo CD. They aren't collectible enough to be something profitable to fake. The only things people typically make fakes of are items that move a lot of copies (commercially released albums or things with high demand like HTEPs), or non-existent compilation albums that have a lot of songs on them people would like to have in one collection.

That information is incorrect, Mike has confirmed himself that he does NOT rap on the track, he sings on it. -From the December LPU chat.

Just thinking out loud more than anything, I don't expect these to be answered, but there are still a few shows I'm wondering about... 15.08.2007 Wantagh, NY, Nikon at Jones Beach Theater, Projekt Revolution Tour We know for a fact this was recorded, the venue just decided at the last minute to be douchebags about allowing it to be sold. 08.09.2007 Las Vegas, NV, Summer Stage @ Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas 26.10.2007 West Hollywood, CA, Key Club, Sunset Strip Block Party These two shows being "one-off" shows (the Key Club show more so than the Hard Rock one), I kind of doubt they were recorded, but maybe. 08.12.2007 Universal City, CA, Gibson Amphitheatre, KROQ Almost Acoustic X-Mas I know they said no festivals...but we know for a fact this was recorded. Pooch and Dylan mixed this show and several songs from it were aired on the radio. 22.06.2009 Westwood, CA, Outside Of Mann's Village Theater, Transformers 2 Premiere I'm scratching my head about this one, as not only was it recorded, one song from it was already officially released...the only reason I can think of that it WOULDN'T be released as a DSP is maybe the whole thing is eventually going to be released through that Monster Energy website like Bleed it Out was. And in general, I'm confused by the revisionist history going on here...Pooch has said in the past that "EVERYTHING starting in 2007 was recorded," it was just a matter of some shows not being able to be released for various reasons. Now all of a sudden they're claiming that none of the festivals were recorded at all? I don't buy that for one second. And I'm pretty sure he specifically stated in the past that all the summer European shows from 2008 WERE recorded, so I have no idea why he's gone back and changed his mind about that now. I fully believe that the band has every performance (other than a few oddball one-off gigs like the Key Club show or short performances like the Halo 3 party that probably weren't recorded) from the beginning of 2007 in their possession, regardless of what they tell us. It's much more convenient to tell people that something wasn't recorded than to say it was and then try to explain why they can't release it.

Aaaaand cue endless amount of whining.

April 6th. Not much longer! That list of guests/producers is pretty impressive too. I'll definitely have to check this album out.
-
Kind of like how you don't deserve to be a member here, but we let you stick around anyway because you haven't fucked up yet?
-
That worked, thanks! Seems like each file decreased in size by about 300 kb, I'm guessing that's the end result of removing the artwork...hopefully iTunes didn't transcode anything, haha.
-
The live version of End of the World has always been like that.
-
Do you REALLY believe that? For fuck's sake, he could've just forgotten to put an "s" on the end of the word "songs." How the hell would the band have the songs they're playing on a tour that doesn't start for 9 months planned out already?!?! Some of the things people will take as "confirmation," jeez. Next tour will have more than one new song. 100% guaranteed.
-
I had a feeling LP would hit the road again sometime before the end of summer, although I figured they'd be hitting up a lot of European festivals like they usually do, but most of those are in June, so hmm...maybe they'll start in the U.S. for once?

A bit of interesting info, courtesy of my younger brother...I was playing these tracks for him, and he happens to be a huge Rob & Big fan. He swears that at least a couple of these instrumentals have been used in the show (he specifically recognized Saturday and Hype). I know Mike and Rob Dyrdek are good friends and Lying From You was on the soundtrack for Street Dreams, but I never knew about any of Mike's instrumentals being used in the TV series.

I still say this is never going to happen.

I have no idea what the deal is. Nkramar opened them just fine in Audition, yet they don't work for you, and I can't open them either (I use Cool Edit Pro 2.0, which was the precursor to Adobe Auditon). There's some kind of compatibility problem going on...had that issue with a few other files in Cool Edit from time to time as well. I THINK it may have something to do with the album artwork being embedded in the mp3 file? I don't have any ID tagging software to remove it though, so I can't check.

Neither of those are on there...lol. There are "Brad Idea" and "Brad Interlude" seeds on one of the computer screens, and the other one is "Amnesick."
-
I have a feeling Hive is the missing track and 100 Degrees is just mislabeled. The first track was labeled as "100 Degrees" on the VMA The Leak site when the short versions of the original 5 were posted (which was months before We Major came out with the full version of 100 Degrees with vocals), so I don't see why it would have an alternate title.
-
Thank you, kind sir. I think once Mike finds out that there's a 100 download limit per song and Soundcloud re-encodes everything to 128kbps (there also appears to be some kind of copy protection/encoding on these songs that prevents them from being opened in an audio editor, but that could be something from Mike's end), he'll probably look for another place to host his stuff.
-
"The track has reached its download limit." Lovely. Anybody wanna share Madison, A.15, and Catharsis?
-
I don't specifically mean Collision Course itself as much as I mean the entire 2003-2006 era in general. Official releases are always cleaned up so they can be a bit deceptive, but if you were to compare two audience recordings of the same song from say, 2004 and 2008, the 2004 one would have a far better guitar sound in my opinion.
-
Yeah, I took screenshots of all the computer screens when they were mentioning the seeds and got a list of about 60-70 of them from that.
