  1. Not happening. The band has said numerous times that they have zero interest in re-recording songs. The working title for In Pieces was "Pictures." How many times does it have to be repeated that this song was never finished? Lame. Take a listen to the bootleg - It was nothing special at all.
  2. For the sake of classification/convenience, it's probably better to still call it a "demo," but those 3 examples all still bear musical similarities to the final versions and have essentially the same arrangement. This remix is so different that it sounds like they essentially threw this one out, recycled a couple of the synth samples and the lyrics for Zion's verse, and made a new remix.
  3. It doesn't even work. It still sends you the Brad's Yo ringtone when you try to download it.
  4. Very cool! It has a few small similarities as far as samples go, but overall I would hardly even classify this as a demo of "Plc.4 Mie Hæd," it's pretty much a different remix entirely. Even Zion's verse was re-recorded on the final version.
  5. *Copy-pastes from other thread* Typical insurance company BS. How the hell can they claim that 2 slipped discs in your back was a "pre-existing condition?" Last time I checked, Chester didn't have to walk with a cane or anything like that prior to him messing up his back.
  6. "Don't go."
  7. There's one obvious difference I can recall off the top of my head, the first part of the intro to A Place for My Head is cut off on LPU 3, and just starts when the guitar comes in.
  8. 1. Why the hell would I tell them to get rid of Rick when I think he is approximately 34956754697596754689 times better a producer than Don Gilmore? Re-read my list more carefully, over half of it is from Meteora. 2. Give me a couple months with a Pro Tools rig to learn all the nuances of the software, and I probably could produce a Linkin Park album...but what does the producer have to do with this anyway? The producer doesn't write the songs, the band does...except in the case of Don Gilmore, where he then makes the band re-write the songs over and over until most of them suck ass and have little to no relevance to the original inspiration for writing the song in the first place. 3. To anybody who has ever heard truly good music, at least the top 3 songs on my list would indisputably qualify as complete shit. I suggest people who think Numb and Hit the Floor are great songs go listen to some Pink Floyd or Led Zeppelin or The Who, then give those songs another listen, and if they still think they're so "great," they should probably buy some stock in the company that manufactures Q-Tips. I could write a song like Numb in less than an hour.
  9. The biggest difference between the mixing on the DVD and the CD is pretty much the same as it is on Road to Revolution - the CD is just mastered louder. That's a pretty standard thing with CD/DVD sets and I'm not quite sure why it's that way, other than perhaps they just assume people will turn their home theater systems up louder than their CD players, so they master the CD louder to compensate for it. One of these days I'll A/B the 5 LPU3 songs and their DVD counterparts and see if there are any other differences.
  10. Read what Nick just said. We do NOT know that this show exists.

  12. High Voltage is exactly the same on both versions of the HTEP. The remake of High Voltage never appeared on any version of that CD. That is a HUGE difference in mastering. You have to turn an original HTEP up almost twice as loud to get the same effect as listening to one of the reissues.
  13. "What is the first song on the Dead By Sunrise album Dead By Sunrise?" Good question, considering there is no Dead By Sunrise album titled "Dead By Sunrise."
  14. Look at the cited source on the Wikipedia entry, and you'll see that the list of guests is totally different: http://www.theaudiohustlaz.com/?p=221 The tracklisting was also edited 6 times on February 23rd in less than 15 minutes. Until a reliable source mentions the LP collab, I'm saying this is fake.
  15. If by "bullshit," you mean because it was actually played MORE than 34 times, you're totally right. More like 42. Once - St. Paul 2004 was it.
  16. He's been doing that on and off for a couple years. There are a couple other random lyrical changes the band does, the first one I can think of is on Bleed it Out where Mike changes "Can't contain him, he knows he works" to "And I can't contain him, 'cuz I know he works."
  17. Nothing wrong with the drums whatsoever there, Rob just played a different fill than he usually does at the end of the bridge, Chester wasn't expecting it so it threw him off for a second. Rob stayed in time just fine.
  18. No concrete answer to that has emerged. Demonoid isn't blocking German users from their end, and no German ISPs are claiming responsibility, but the entire country of Germany has been unable to access the site since the last week of January. You can still access the site through a proxy.
  19. Demonoid has been blocked in Germany for the last month. The site is functioning just fine, it's not a problem at their end.
  20. Members of bands visit each other in the studio all the time without collaborating on anything.

  22. Fu can talk? This is news to me. Cool interview...although I find it funny that Ryan's calling his Epiphone Dots by the Gibson brand name.
  23. O_o I've seen all of the DBS promo trailers and never heard anything like that...there was an instrumental version of the outro of Too Late at the end of one of them... That's not acoustic, that's Chester, Ryan, and Amir warming up backstage before a show...both Ryan and Amir are playing their electric guitars, just not plugged into anything.
  24. Kurt DID play Chester's guitar part at the following show in Adelaide. Nobody "fooled us," there was just a lack of information on that tour in general - very few Youtube videos compared to other tours, only one audience audio recording...a bunch of stuff on show pages from that tour was just flat-out guesswork (the Points of Authority intros in particular were almost impossible to track down in some cases). We assumed that the setlists stayed the same throughout the tour, and the info about Kurt came from Adelaide, so we assumed that he did the same in Melbourne. Chester played guitar on SOTD at every show except Adelaide, once he got a cast put on his wrist he was able to play again.
  25. I think this was posted a while back and proven to be fake...something about it using the same template as the flyer for last year's show and someone just pasting in the names of other bands.
