  1. Na, there's not even a known recording of the first show. Sendai was up ASAP then Osaka got out when nkramar bought it and seeded it for us. A year or so later, Fifek got the Tokyo SS show after he promised a guy in Japan he wouldn't release it. The taper of Cleveland said trade it all you want but the condition I got it on was that it couldn't be put up freely for DL (LPLive included). That's fine...anyone can trade it so that's not hard to get. Since Fifek is gone I think we might somehow...*leak* Tokyo since it's such a good show. The crowd is annoying (people yelling right into the mics) and the quality isn't the best but damn LP put on a good one that night. It's damn cool hearing the "full" version of them bringing Kotaro on stage and also the talk before RME. I'll see what I can do about posting it when I get back from vacation later this week.
  2. The song to me is about Samantha and Chester's breakup/relationship, and I'm 99.9% sure that's correct too. A Cali PR07 show he said "That's for every...fucking...ex...asshole lover....in the world...fuck you". Gotta be about Samantha for him. "Don't lie...to me". I mean it's so obvious.... No LP song has any meaning "to me" other than what the band intended it to mean. NMS and HHH are about George Bush, TLTGYA is about Katrina, Valentine's Day is about Chester being alone without Sam on VDay, etc. Bleed It Out is about a party. MTM is really the first album they have done that has songs dedicated to other shit besides just relationships and shit
  3. The tapers do not want Cleveland / Tokyo circulated. I will see about Rapid City/Modesto. Darien Lake was not through a cellphone. I don't even have Download source 4 video, lol. I'll see what all I can upload that's not so..."common".
  4. Wow all these updates are amazing nice job. I really need to get with it, lol. Haven't updated anything in forever....
  5. I wonder if the band ever realizes the fans think that the PR04 setlist is just godly as fuck and can't ever be touched, lol
  6. Lockjaw to open? Eww. It'd go into WID nicely but not to open. ASP -> With You would be a sick opener.
  7. They better make sure this doesn't happen. Absolute monopoly..."BUST UP THE TRUST" like Roosevelt did (my fav subject of US History lol). For christ's sake with all the arguing- -liliverson even though you are a great member of the site, you don't run LPLive and even though I appreciate you standing up for me/the site, I can handle things. -This is LP-related news - it covers the ticket prices for fans, etc. -Next, JK news does belong here. Sorry Kathy but Chester is producing their album. He helped them on the album (not as in, contributing vocally, but he was there when they were doing it and he helped them make the record). We cover JK live because of this and the fact that Chester has come out on a good number of shows they've played (including the first one ever, I believe). They are 9/10 of Chester's side project as well - Dead By Sunrise is Julien-K and Chester. With all of this combined, it's natural for us to cover them as well. We are not covering every band they've ever worked with. JK is an important thing for Chester so I felt the need to throw a little JKLG up on here as well for their fans. I absolutely 100% agree with Kathy, liliverson, and Preston as well. You all are correct - this IS news worthy - Julien-K IS relevant to this site and *does* belong on the homepage - but there is NO need to fight please. I know both of you have valid points but please don't go at each other. All of you are welcome to reply to this post, and I even would prefer it, but I'd like to keep the arguing down on the forums as much as possible. No need to jump on someone if news isn't news-worthy - we have mods and can handle it, etc. Thanks guys.
  8. Yep Phoenix at Pinkpop 07 at the M&G said he didn't remember if they had done Carousel/Part Of Me. I thought that Carousel was rehearsed for Ozzfest, not FVT01. Maybe I'm wrong but I was under the impression it was for Ozzfest.
  9. When did I say that? I never said that. He mixing GNR, not mixing their DSPs.
  10. LP hasn't asked him to work with them yet. I don't think they are at the stage yet where they are picking the crew to take with them. He is mixing the Guns N Roses World Tour that starts in a few months so he might not be able to do LP. It's all up in the air at this point. Once we get much closer to the shows I'll get with him and see about DSPs, even though I think they are unlikely.
  11. Right. I know they're not confirmed, but I mean it'd make sense. Anyway, what city is the other Sonisphere show that's being worked on going to be in?
  12. Seems pretty likely to me that they'd do the last 3 Sonisphere cities. Makes sense to me.
  13. I'm not really sure. I think I heard from someone that one of the Slipknot members publicly denounced LP, but I can't back that up. It seems they don't get along though. I never heard of them hanging out on Ozzfest 2001 at all even though LP did with a few of the other bands. Slipknot just recently said they were going to overtake Metallica as the biggest rock band or some shit, so it seems their ego is HUGE. (rofl @ them signing to open for Metallica now XD). They probably think they are much better than LP but I have no idea. I have no knowledge of any SK/LP relationship as in like Corey/Chester or anything so if you ask me it seems likely (but not confirmed) that they aren't friends at all.
  14. First of all: "According to MTV, Amy Winehouse is on the bill for its brand new series titled "MTV's World Stage," a series the network says will feature live performances from around the world every Friday night. Winehouse, who has long been at the center of controversy including stints in rehab and an ongoing divorce battle, will join Linkin Park, The Pussycat Dolls, Enrique Iglesias and Coldplay on the concert series." Next, a pretty reliable source (my friend Alex from Sweden) has informed me that the festival organizer for Hultsfred 2009 has confirmed to him that Linkin Park will not be playing the festival this year. The text is translated (so it's rough), but here you go: "Linkin Park has not been available for Hultsfred this year, as they will do some dates on Sonisphere. So they are not booked at Hultsfred. The Linkin Park follows with Sonisphere to Sweden is not clear yet. But it is the chance we have to get them this year. So we can always hope." However, on Saturday, July 18, Sonisphere is playing in Hultsfred, Sweden. Linkin Park is *heavily* rumored to be playing this show since Slipknot is playing a festival called "Metaltown" in Sweden at the same time (official Slipknot confirmation is being waited on). Any thoughts on the band possibly playing any other shows? EDIT: LP.com has confirmed the Sonisphere shows in Finland and England for the band. Hopefully there are more shows.... And Chester says here that, "I can't promise because we're still writing, but I'm going to put it out there that you might hear some new stuff from us." Is Linkin Park playing at....World Peace One?
  15. They are an American band, lol.
  16. its more of the fact that it doesn't seem LP is trying. look at where they played in austria in 08. that old venue is much smaller than like O2 arena and stuff I believe. I feel really bad for all of the euro countries that get shut out. south america as well. id give up the next US tour if they'd play SE asia, south/central america and the euro countries they haven't hit in forever. the UK and Germany get too many shows. maybe 2 shows in germany and 2 in the UK. then go and do like metallica did - play all the other ones as well. still no turkey date and it's 2009. no excuse in my opinion. I mean I can't change it and I would if I could (trust me) but I just feel bad for those fans that keep getting shut out over and over again. greece? first show in 2008. next time LP plays there? I bet another 3-4 years. I also bet they play 6-20 more UK shows before they play greece again even though that show was packed to the limit. good to see finland again. I bet they will do switzerland/sweden as well, and then some random other ones like a germany arena (they can't play europe without doing germany - face it, they know they have a HUGE fanbase there and have to cater to them) and HOPEFULLY some random stuff like a lithuania show or something cool. italy/spain get skipped too but I mean they need to play in places they've never played before. edit: and oh yeah, im well aware of the places they haven't been to and also aware of when dates are announced that they haven't played in X country or Y country. no excuse in my opinion. lp's managers need to try harder.
  17. I believe it's done by demand. DE has an insane amount of fans there that constantly buy the CDs, etc. that's why they are #3 in the listings, etc. but I agree w/you in the sense that they should switch it up. you can't do just 3 countries (DE, FR, UK) every single EU tour. there is no excuse for them to not have done spain/italy more as well as the other euro countries. netherlands. lithuania. latvia. austria. etc etc etc you could go on forever with the names. they need to make the 2 canceled 08 ones up and then do others.
  18. wow - incredible again. A+ work, very nice job. this means I'll need to start making updates again, heh. I better get with it.... also, I see what you mean jonas about the russian names. very very weird - noone that speaks english would figure that shit out. not sure what to do exactly, because if they can't understand it then that's not good either. I don't know if we should only fix some or what. maybe on the show page after it put like (Moscow) or something.
  19. can someone give me some dates on hultsfred and interlaken 2009 please? also, im sure these aren't the only shows. why in the HELL would you haul all that crap over there for 2 shows? im sure they will do headlining germany shows (the location of their 2nd biggest fanbase outside of the US. japan is #1, then UK is after germany I believe). probably more than that too.
  20. there is no way chester is playing with metallica lmfao if you ask me. we need SBDs, no doubt. and will we get them? doubt it. fuck the band's management. they need to step it up to metallica's level and sell DSPs for EVERY show. The venue looks legendary...the whole vibe of Knebworth is so unique. If they could offer me a one day pass or something then I'd maybe try to come over for this shit. It's in the EXACT middle of my summer break before college. $3,000 total for a ticket to the show and round trip airfare from Atlanta to London. I'd need an LPU'ers house in London to stay at, lol. Oh man what a lot of money.....
  21. holy fuck that is incredible. no way in hell I'd go since I'm going to bonnaroo but DAMN - impressive. Man In The Box (feat. Chester)
  22. I'm sure they will do more than just 2 shows in Europe, lol. That's ridiculous to haul all that bullshit over for just 2 shows. Stay tuned for more headlining shows by them.
  23. Updated main post with all the info. They played 6 UK shows in 2008, and 7 Germany shows. Check your facts again. This is nuts - why is the lineup not the same for all days? lol
  24. http://lplive.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=1030 New thread.
