  1. I doubt this will happen, but that'd be cool for a Summer Sonic-type thing. Metallica just did their first South African shows in 2006, it'd be nice if LP did some sometime and sold the SBDs. I'm interested in the fanbase they have there. Looks like Road to Revolution footage in the trailer. Nice find. That'd be really sweet if they did this festival, haha. I guess we'll find out soon. It's interesting they used RTR footage though when there's no news of LP shows coming up. Hmm.......
  2. You have a point. The fans petitioning did get APFMH brought back. Very nice point.
  3. How the heck am I supposed to make plans to either attend or get it recorded if they tell us about it literally 2 nights beforehand? Haha. That's really sad because this likely has the footage that was shown in theatres with Webster Hall. Man I wish they'd release that online somewhere......This sucks for those that can't attend (9/10 of LP fans).
  4. The German summer PR08 shows were arranged in January 2008. They had a basic tour schedule with venues, dates and bands in February 2008 for June 2008. Sounds like since it's almost February 2009, they'd have a good idea of what shows they'll be playing in the summer in Europe.
  5. Yes, Phoenix did mention European festivals in that recent video interview. I think they will make up the 2 canceled 2008 dates, then do some sort of festival run / Projekt Revolution 2009 run in Europe. I don't think the band would mention it this early if they weren't planning on it. It's not too early if you ask me - look at Summer Sonic. They also said that they are planning to finish this album much quicker than Minutes To Midnight, so everything falls right into place in my opinion. I hope this is true!
  6. Ok, the post deleted thing was the work of a mod, and she has addressed that to you in a PM. Next, That is really silly to say, if you ask me. It's also disappointing for me to see members post that here, because I consider LPLive a reliable source. The fact of the matter is, LP management has not only confirmed to me but to numerous others (including Jen of CBennington, who also posted this stuff) that the band has an official page on SodaHead, and that the poll was from the account. However, it was SodaHead that did the post, not the band or the band's management, and it was in error. This is not an issue of LPLive reporting something inaccurate - this is a mistake on SodaHead's part. I did my part by posting it and linking to the official source, and yet you say you don't trust my site anymore. So you don't trust LPTimes or CBennington either? You have to realize everyone makes mistakes. Sure I'll take responsibility for posting it, but I think you guys are blowing things way out of proportion. It's not an issue either of "Oh it's my site, I can post whatever the fuck I want and if you don't like it then don't let the door hit you on the way out". I don't operate that way. I like everyone here and I'm glad you're members of LPLive. Never am I deliberately going to post false news (April Fools day excluded) to trick you guys. I had an official source and I posted it. That's all there is to it. Like I said, it's disappointing to see you say the credibility of my site is damaged by this. Sure, SodaHead is not LP.com, but the band does have the official account there and it came from that. Obviously I wasn't the only one that was fooled, and obviously I didn't try to trick you all on purpose, because other sites had it up as well. I try to post links to ALL sources of news I put in Newswire. It's necessary in today's technologically-advanced times and I understand that, which is why I do it of course. I don't want you guys to think I was trying to fuck with you or trying to jump to conclusions. It was an error on SodaHead's part, as you can see by that email they sent out, and I apologize again for those of you who are upset by this. I agree with Astat and think they leaked it too early, but that is neither here nor there. If you still have any issues feel free to post them and I'll address them - no problem. I love free speech and if you don't like something or the way we do something, then let me know and I'll see what I can do about it. Just know that I never would try and deceive the members of LPLive like you guys seem to be portraying - I had an official source and sometimes, those turn out to be in error. That has happened before - see the Music For Relief Istanbul, Turkey 2008 show that they announced early that never happened. Sometimes official sources are incorrect and make mistakes, but that's only human - everyone does that and I see no need to drag it out and start accusing person A or site B of falsifying things. I hope I haven't upset anyone over this. I do thank Adam of the LPU and KATHYxx for alerting me to the mistake SodaHead made and working with me on the issue. Thanks.
  7. Jen sent me a link I thought was pretty cool and since some of you are having videos being removed left and right, I thought I'd share and see what you guys thought about this. Perhaps you've noticed users making their own "Fuck Warner" videos, etc. Check out this article. From fans singing their own versions of their favorite songs on piano to Astat playing guitar to live videos (yes - some of the Linkin Park @ Rock am Ring 2004 videos have been removed), people are starting to get pretty pissed. The last video is my favorite - he even shows you that Metallica is upset and has posted messages on their YouTube account saying they're being affected. A video I took of Numb / Pushing Me Away (Piano Version) at the LP Atlanta 2007 show has even been removed. It's a Tuesday in the middle of January and there's nothing going on in the LP world, so I'm opening the can of worms with this. You guys upset? Let me know what you think, I'm interested. Ready for LP to release 3 more records and get off Warner? Also, I fixed the issue of the homepage loading so slowly. We'll have to stick with only a few banners on the homepage for now, but the rest of the pages have them all.
  8. Yep, haha. Thanks for bringing that to my attention Kathy
  9. awesome. looks great. moved it to the newswire for you
  10. I updated the other thread, but since I know some of the guests of LPLive only read the Newswire on the homepage, I thought I would post it there so noone is confused and we can set things straight. As far as Projekt Revolution 2009 goes, the band has not confirmed anything yet. Until we see an official announcement, I'd not consider anything to be set in stone. I am personally sorry for any confusion we may have caused regarding the tour - LPLive did not mean to upset anyone, etc. Basically, the poll was posted on the official LP SodaHead page, leading to some confusion, but all things have now been set straight. Keep your eyes out for future announcements from the band - hopefully they will do the tour in some form. You can definitely count on LPLive having any announcements by the band shortly after they are released. SodaHead had this to say in an email to their members: An unauthorized poll was sent to Linkin Park fans the other day. Linkin Park in no way approved this message nor the contents of the email and poll. In no way should that poll or email reflect the views of Linkin Park or any organization working with them. We apologize for this occurrence and have taken precautions to make sure this does not happen again.
  11. Yeah I agree with that. He just contacts Jen with announcements every now and then. He just emails her lol. Otherwise her news is official LP news, but she usually only posts official stuff, whereas with LPLive I try and post everything so we can chat about it and shit since there's not much news these days. During the touring periods it's generally only show related stuff or huge LP announcements as it is LPLive, not a regular LP fansite. I hope people aren't upset with this. SodaHead has collab'd with LP before on official stuff, as in the band used SodaHead to have a contest to send a fan to the Milton Keynes show. All clues led to it being official, but if someone is mad or angry with me I guess I can understand but I really don't think it's a big deal, and I CERTAINLY don't think the "integrity" or "reliability" of LPLive is damaged by it. Who knows, we still might have a PR09. If you ask for my honest personal opinion, I have no damn clue about a USA tour, but if they do European Festivals in the summer, I would think they'd do exactly how they did last year and play both festivals and then headlining club/stadium/arena/whatever shows as well, and call a few of those "Projekt Revolution" shows. I hope they'd do a US PR but 3 years in a row for the same venues seems unlikely to me, and Chester says they'd like to either play the USA indoors or do a Proj Rev festival. We will see, but I think they will do a PR09 in SOME form or fashion.
  12. Very interesting. They did that Milton Keynes flyaway contest to the show, LP linked to it on their MySpace, LP.com, LPU, etc....it was all a big ordeal, and was official. That's crazy that they'd post this without official confirmation from the band...nice way to deceive the fans. Thanks for clearing things up Adam and KATHY. I do think we will see Projekt Rev this summer, but it's pretty surprising to me that they posted this and it's not legit. Wow.
  13. DBS official release - September 2009 according to Chester I wonder if they'll do like...summer Euro festivals/PR Europe then PR USA then take a break for DBS, then do a winter tour. hmm.
  14. muse lupe fiasco rise against (FUCK I can't believe they are booked!!!!) 3 doors down three days grace saving abel flobots pendulum fucking SHINEDOWN anyway I put a comment on mike's blog asking about pr09. im sure if he got a few in the comments asking about it, he'd respond.
  15. Hopefully it's Projekt Revolution USA and Euro Festivals.
  16. "Linkin Park asks: Who do you want to see on Projekt Revolution in 2009? We don't want any complaints this year, so now it's your turn to let us know: who do you want to sign onto the Projekt Revolution tour for 2009? Or just share your favorite Projekt Revolution moment below!" Click here for all the info. UPDATE: It seems the band has not confirmed anything yet, so until we see an official announcement, I'd not consider anything to be set in stone. I am personally sorry for any confusion we may have caused regarding Projekt Revolution 2009. Keep your eyes out for future announcements from the band - hopefully they will do the tour in some form. SodaHead had this to say: An unauthorized poll was sent to Linkin Park fans the other day. Linkin Park in no way approved this message nor the contents of the email and poll. 17. nice complete review. sums it up pretty well.
  18. No silly, he meant Walking In Circles from the Club Tattoo show. Chaz talked about releasing it. That's a genius question - I'll be asking that one as well. The more the better.
  19. this is fucking amazing! holy shit absolutely amazing. I would LOVE the full show. this is some seriously badass shit. raw, hardcore intense footage. what a show.
  20. there are no recordings from leeds - that is wrong on the part of that site
  21. Well within the next year to year and a half, LP will be off Warner. After this CD they need 2 more albums and I think they will BS it with a live DVD and another project, like a remix CD, demo CD or something else cool. Maybe a 2 part concept album LOL, and then a live DVD. Hmm.
  22. They aren't done forever. He said on hiatus, which means just a break. It was unofficial before but of course now it's official, etc. I think once LP gets off WB, Mike will get Machine Shop going again and rock it real time. He might put LP on it and sign a bunch of other artists
  23. Machine Shop is going on hiatus; Warner and LP have creative differences; Styles Of Beyond is officially dropped from Machine Shop; Ryu and co release a new song from their group The Get Busy Committee called My Little Razor Blade. Read all about it on Mike's new blog post here. The track is absolutely sick. Ryu lets his emotions loose... "You should see my clientele I ain't sayin' names, but I can build a train track Everybody's buyin' rails True fact People at Warner are fucking high as hell How can you explain puttin' Ryu's shit up on the shelf It's a fuckin' shame..." Badass. I don't know about you guys, but SOB is one of my favorite hip hop groups. Thoughts? Is everyone ready for the day LP finally gets off this ridiculous label?
  24. I agree. Haven't heard this song in years actually, I love it now, lol. Funny how your opinion of a song can change from when you're 14 to when you're 17, heh. Sick track.
