  1. Roll over Reading, duck out Download, there's a new rock festival in town! Taking place on August 1 and 2 this summer, Sonisphere will play host to some of music's premiere talent at the UK's spiritual home of rock, Knebworth. Rather than squeezing as many bands as possible onto multiple stages, Sonisphere will feature only bands of the highest calibre performing on two alternate stages, meaning you won’t have to miss any music. Commenting on the new festival, Lars Ulrich of Metallica has said, "We're stoked to be touring England and Europe with Sonisphere... summer festivals in Europe are what Metallica do best. We can't wait to see all of our fans over there." Tickets are available at 9am on Wednesday, February 11 Countries: Holland, Germany, Finland, Sweden, Spain, UK Holland: Metallica, Slipknot, Lamb Of God, Mastodon Germany: Metallica, Die Toten Hosen, In Extremo, Lamb Of God, Mastodon Spain: Metallica, Slipknot, Lamb Of God, Mastodon Catalunya: Metallica, Slipknot, Lamb Of God, Mastodon Sweden: Metallica Finland: Metallica, Linkin Park, Lamb Of God, Mastodon England: Metallica, Linkin Park, Lamb Of God, Mastodon Linkin Park is confirmed for England and Finland, but not any of the others currently. The lineup is different for all of the countries. Source here. The 2009 page is updated with these shows: 25.07.2009 Pori, Finland, Kirjurinluoto, Sonisphere Festival 01.08.2009 Knebworth, England, Knebworth Park, Sonisphere Festival Anyone else have any information? Post away!
  2. Yeah I want it in the native language for all the shows. I don't really know which ones to fix or anything, so it helps when you guys let me know. Thanks for the Copenhagen change.
  3. I'd like to give a big happy birthday shoutout to Dave Farrell...aka...Phoenix! Happy birthday! Dave will be 32 years old today. I know that someone *cough* Ana (aka the biggest Phoenix fan EVER) *cough* is having a good day as well! Don't we all love him? And now, two of my favorite Phoenix quotes: "BLOW...just hit it with the PHO-ENX!" "Bass players have feelings too, kids" Have a good one Dave!
  4. 2004 page: Fixed Pensacola date in red, shortened Hong Kong date so it fit properly. -Collision Source 04 show date changed to the 18th instead of the 19th. We got the date from FTG, so I guess they had it wrong. The CC booklet says the 18th. 2003 page: Removed links to some of the canceled shows 2003.08.03 - Fixed some code issues.
  5. Holy shit, amazing update. That is incredible.
  6. http://www.knebworthhouse.com/rock/rockconcerts.htm Knebworth Park, Knebworth, UK Looks like it'll be August 2nd for LP. I'll throw the date up on the 2009 page. So far for 2009: 02.08.2008 Knebworth, England, Knebworth Park, Sonisphere Festival xx.08.2009 Pori, Finland, Kirjurinluoto Park, Sonisphere Festival I assume Pori is at that park since the Jazz festival is held there, but there's other spots. A German date is rumored.
  7. Good enough for me! Lamb Of God is confirmed! Fuck yeah this is awesome. I bet this will be a godly tour, lol. I've never heard of a traveling 3 day festival - that's insane. It's like a traveling Rock am Ring with all your favorite bands. Wow.
  8. It's a traveling festival - England and Finland are being discussed as two of the places it's going to. So it's more than one location but the same lineup, etc.
  9. Thread closed. Please see THIS thread for all further discussion.
  10. No, don't flame this guy. What we had before was a rumor, and even though this builds on it, it's unlikely that all of this is going to come out as false. Sweet, we have some 2009 tour dates.
  11. Well 3:02 looks right but I can't tell if it's 4:30 or 4:38. I tried to straighten it out in Picasa but when you straighten the image, it zooms in, so therefore after rotating it like 7 times, it's blurry as fuck lol. Just off of my straightforward opinion though, it looks like an 8 instead of a 0. Or it could be a 6 but it looks like it's connected on the right side for sure (something we all agree on). And then after I realized it was easy to MS Paint-rotate it 90 degrees to the right before attempting to turn it Picasa: PHOTOSHOP PLZ. I dunno, what do you guys think it is? And it's so sad when we're trying to decipher shit like this due to the lack of LP news. Goodness lol.
  12. It took a motherfucking war effort to get APFMH back. Do you realize how hard that shit was? All the way from PR07, through Australia and Asia we had fans trying to get that shit brought back. Perth had like a 5,000 person petition they gave Mike at the M&G. PR07 almost every M&G they were asked about it. Online all over Mike's blog, all over the LPU and LPMB were petitions and posts for it to be brought back. It was absolutely ri-fucking-diculous lmao. And it worked if you ask me. It was in there for Europe/US in the Winter and Europe in the summer. Now we need it brought back AGAIN. APFMH and OSC should be the staple closers. Nothing can beat them closing the setlist...I mean it's just fucking unbeatable. Add the Reanimation bridge to OSC and I don't see how any other 2 LP songs could flow together so perfectly with SO MUCH ENERGY to end the show. It's impossible since APFMH is a pure pit-master song and OSC is arguably their biggest song to date, ESPECIALLY live. I think they'll get bored of the songs they did on PR08 and bring back some shit anyway. Either With You or Figure.09 will be in there sometime on the cycle if you want my honest opinion. They're gonna have to change it up. Fans aren't gonna want the same setlists again and again and again with like 2 changes, lol.
  13. I personally think Walking In Circles is godly as FUCK. Holy SHIT I would love to hear that live. I think I'm gonna have to fly to a DBS show to see that shit. The overall song...the mellow-ness is ridiculous. I'm excited for the CD but for LP as well.
  14. Awesome! Post edited By the way, it's Crawl Back In, not C'mon Back In.
  15. The recent LPU chat, and quite a few other places. He's said he hates Runaway and Hit The Floor then he said In The End and One Step Closer at other times.
  16. Straight from Mike from his blog: "I was just hanging out with Chester, and got a chance to hear some of his new solo material! In case you haven't heard, he's doing a solo record (he's doing double-duty, working on his album and the LP album simultaneously). The project is called Dead By Sunrise, and the album is being produced by Howard Benson. He played me 9 songs, two of which had (amazing) vocals. I thought I could hear influences from T-Rex to Tears For Fears, but overall it's a pretty punch-you-in-the-gut rock record. Very cool...look for it later this year, probably September-ish. It's going to be incredible!" He removed the post for some reason, but thankfully LPI:BR and LPTimes got it, so here it is. Sounds interesting! The post is now back up, with a picture here of the CD entitled "1/19/2009 Ruff Mix" with "Crawl Back In" and "Give Me Your Name" on it. 'Give Me Your Name' is an evolved name from the old demo we knew as 'Give Me Your Time', which was on that picture we put up months ago of the song board at the studio (from Julien-K.com). Exciting!
  17. Well since LP news is a little slow besides random festival rumors, I thought I'd fill you in on another artist I enjoyed seeing this past summer on Projekt Revolution. For those of you who don't already know, Chris Cornell's new studio album with Timbaland, entitled "Scream", has been leaked. You may find it at the usual places - I'm not posting any links because god knows how many greedy, corporate record labels would come after me with a lawsuit if I did. I believe this one is out on March 10th if I recall correctly. What's funny is that it was supposed to come out on November 4th, election day. It was promoted everywhere, and yet the day came and went with no explanation on the delay. It was then changed to February 3rd, which is tomorrow, but that obviously isn't happening either. Finally, it was moved to March 10th with nothing being said on the matter, but I guess that is the final date now. That seems a little unprofessional if you leave the fans in the dust like that in my opinion, but to each his own I guess. Also I'd like to call out either the Chris Cornell band management, their record label or whoever is responsible for deleting the positive album review threads by fans on the official Chris Cornell forums. You cannot deny an album leaked, whether you like it or not honestly. I don't think you should alienate the fans and upset them for discussing what they have waited for for so long. However, they can do whatever they please. Likewise, Mike posted within 24 hours of a leak of Minutes To Midnight in 2007. That message is still available here. "and to everyone else who can't wait: we can't help but understand, because we're just as excited about this album coming out as you are. either way, thanks for listening, and being a fan of our music.", he said. Regardless of their approach to the fanbase, the record is good in my opinion. Long Gone, Watch Out, and Scream are quality tracks, two of which I was able to see live. The hip hop direction he takes is interesting....I recommend you checking it out at least even if you prefer Soundgarden/Audioslave. And there's your random news story of the week for you all!
  18. I would hope that LP's management gets their heads out of their asses and learns that they can sell the live audio to ALL shows if they manage it online properly. See: livemetallica.com It's possible and they need to take advantage of it. No DSPs for the Europe 2008 summer tour is ridiculous and uncalled for, lol.
  19. More info has been posted here on the new festival that is set to take place in Pori, Finland on either July 25 or July 31 with Metallica headlining. According to the Finnish newspaper Iltalehti, METALLICA is in talks to play a brand new metal festival with LINKIN PARK (and 11 other bands) at the end of July in the city of Pori (the site of the annual international jazz festival Pori Jazz). The 80,000-capacity event will reportedly take place on either July 25 or July 31 and will apparently be named after METALLICA, who will headline the festival. An official confirmation is expected sometime in early February. Hell yeah, roll those dates out! Hopefully this will happen.
  20. http://lplive.net/shows/20030906.php Someone is out on OSC here, look at LPTV 4. Looks like Aaron. It's Aaron and then also Mark from Adema. The shitty mp3 recording confirms it, lol.
  21. Fail. This is an interview with CYCLEFLY not LINKIN PARK.
  22. Alright LPLive - we've got another interview opportunity, this time with the band Cyclefly. I now ask you to post some questions in response to this thread for Cyclefly. You can ask about Chester, you can ask about their touring history, about their albums, etc. Try to give it a little bit of diversity - not everything about Chester. Be creative! Felipe (>InTheEnd
  23. Even though I think it's a bit dumb considering the band hasn't put out anything Grammy-worthy since 2007, Linkin Park is up for voting in Fuse's Super Grammy Polldown. Click here to vote for them if you really want them to win. How about the awesome 3 Doors Down and Rise Against records, though?
  24. http://www.thevirginfest.co.za/virgin-fest...been-postponed/ Vote for LP!
