I took the weekend to make some nice updates to the site. I completely rewrote the About page, redid the Content page, and more. The PR08 and Summer Europe 08 setlist pages are finally up on the Content page, courtesy of Astat and I. The List Of Official Releases has been updated to include the Leave Out All The Rest single, Road To Revolution, and the iTunes album releases. The Canceled Shows page has been edited, and after I did all that, the site should be in pretty good shape. I'll tidy up the Staff page shortly as well. The last thing, the List Of All Songs Played Live, will be updated in the next few days. If you see any errors/mistakes on the site, please let us know and drop a post here. In other news, the Brazilian fans started a petition HERE to get the Sao Paulo 2004 video released. Whether you think it'll happen or not, I think it's worth signing for the heck of it to at least show your support. I mean who WOULDN'T want a proshot version of that show? Lastly, what do you guys think about an LP Wikipedia? LPWiki? Yeah? Want one? JNudda over at LPProjekt and I have had the idea for a while, and we finally took the initiative this week to start work on one. Once it goes live, I'll let you all know so that we can start adding info to it. It'll be an LPProjekt / LPLive collaboration effort...and we hope to make it THE place to go for info in the community. No, it's not going to replace LPLive, haha. Just something for the community to work on while the band makes a new album. More info soon. It's a slow news week. What's everyone want for Christmas? Anyone seeing any concerts anytime soon? Preston, Amanda and I are seeing Snot / 10 Years / Mudvayne on Friday and I'm seeing Switchfoot / 3 Doors Down Saturday. It'll be interesting.

KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas 2008 - Night 2! What did you all think about Night 1? Will Night 2 be as good? Did Rise Against blow you away like they blew me away? Did you enjoy The Offspring? Are they good headliners? What about Staind and Three Days Grace? AFI? STP? Night 2 Lineup: The online digital guide can be found here. The webcast is located here. All times are PST (Pacific Standard Time). PST is 3 hours earlier than EST, so for example if it is 8pm here, it is 5pm there, etc. Who are you looking forward to tonight? I think The Cure will be the best one tonight...the other acts aren't looking that pleasing, but we will see!

I didn't even bother replying about that question because even though I knew they edit the Wiki page themselves, Astat would summarize it all perfectly, lol.

http://www.lplive.net/about.php About page totally redone.

Yep I'll record Paramore, The Cure and maybe a few others tonight.

I got audio of: Hollywood Undead Slightly Stoopid Three Days Grace Staind Rise Against and The Offspring Staind was my favorite band but the last 2 songs from Rise Against stole the show for me. Holy shit Hero Of War and Prayer For A Refugee ending it were amazing. RA were on 100% last night. Very impressive. I'll split and upload it all soon. Man I really liked that Hero Of War acoustic performance. Best song of the night. Oh, and STP sucked it up. Terrible, lol.

Julien-K's first album entitled "Death To Analog" will be dropping on February 17, 2009 at an internet near you. I think it's an online release, but more info on that will come at a later date as it nears us. They are planning to release a "Death To Digital" remix album too, so here's the tracklisting. Notice the bolded track...... Death To Digital Tracklisting * Someday Soon (Headcleanr Remix) * Maestro (Koma & Bones Remix) * Spiral (Paul Oakenfeld Remix) * Kick The Bass (She Wants Revenge Remix) * Disease (Franz & Shape Remix) * Stranded (Jagz Kooner Remix) * Forever (Bon Harris Remix) * Systeme de Sexe (Combichrist Remix) * Death To Analog (Mike Shinoda Remix) * Look at U (Deadmau5 Remix) * Technical Difficulties (Photek Remix) Excellent.

No, not really. Mike pulled out the Hello Kitty guitar on FTI at the KROQ Weenie Roast y Fiesta, not AAC. AAC featured the UCLA drum line on NMS and BIO, as well as a childrens' choir on HHH, and the first time they did My December the entire cycle. LP didn't butcher it. The KROQ webcasts always are really shitty quality. In person, they owned. Watch the YouTube videos and read the reviews. It was all fine. Pooch mixed them normally. The webcast sucked ass so people think incorrect things about the show, but whatever. He has nothing to do with the webcast. LP's set wasn't delayed at KROQ last year as far as I know either. Chester did mess up just a tad, but I mean who's perfect? AAC last year was one of the best shows for LP in 2007-2008 no doubt. I wish we had a DSP for it......

As many of you already know, one of my favorite times of year is the summer, where we get quite a few webcasts from festival shows in Europe. Nothing is like getting out of school and then a week later starting this massive month-long barrage of festival shows you can sit back and watch in the comfort of your own home. Rock am Ring, Pinkpop, Download Festival, and Rock in Rio are just some of the ones that fans are able to check out. Well, there is one more. Except this one is in the Winter. Oh yes, ladies and gentlemen, it's time for the KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas 2008 webcast. The show that Linkin Park has played five times before (twice in 2001, remember?) is back again and is featuring a great lineup. Although yours truly, LP, is out writing the record, they can be almost guaranteed to play the show next year. The two day KROQ show begins today. All times are PST (Pacific Standard Time). Thoughts on the lineup this year? Is night 1 better than night 2? For all webcast information, head on over to http://www.kroq.com/. Thanks!

Unfortunately, LPLive 4 has been ultimately put on hold as of today. Perhaps I will restart things in January. I don't really have the time with the end of semester stuff going on with school to do all the needed work. Don't worry...we'll get it going sometime but it's just postponed quite a bit. Not really sure what else to say besides just stay tuned.

A DVD! Hell yeah!!!! Review from ArtistDirect: Next came a true clash of the titans. Bassist Chris Chaney began churning out the slow, ominous roll at the beginning of Jane's Addiction's "Mountain Song," and suddenly Linkin Park vocalist Chester Bennington took to the stage. A torrent of energy spread through the building, and everything erupted. Watching Chester with Camp Freddy is like bridging the generational gap. Chester showcased a vocal prowess and style that matched the legends beside him. He can hold his own alongside former Guns N' Roses and Jane's Addiction members, fitting right in. In fact, his presence caused a surge, as he simply killed the song's chorus. At the same time, Navarro conjured Hendrix on the solo and unleashed his best lead of the evening. Their chemistry was palpable and infectious. However, it got better. Slash stormed the stage during Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love." He oscillated between strange toggle switch schizophrenia and mind-blowing fretwork. Slash simply bled soul all over the stage, as he and Chester brought the show to rapturous heights. Sorum nailed the drum break, injecting it with a tribal flair. As Slash tore through "Paradise City" with Chester singing, it was hard to believe Camp Freddy could top this. However, there's no doubt they will—probably next week.
