  1. Hmmmmm lots of requests for Modesto I see quite a lot of good ones here. I will see what I can do for you guys. Few things: -MFR 05...the good audio/video is uncirculated - we are trying our hardest to get it and I can promise you once we get it, it will be an immediate release. It is on the exact same level as Mountain View 2004, meaning the minute we get it, it will be uploaded. It has been a while, and we might have to wait another 1 to 2 years, but I think someday we will get this show. -Columbus 08 is uncirculated as well. Tried my hardest to get that, but it seems it will be quite a task unfortunately. -Craig_MCc, I like your request. Unfortunately, that one is still on my request too. I don't really have much information about that one. It is confusing to me that both of the files are from the same show because one has a crowd and one doesn't. I'm not really sure what the deal is with that. -"the only show i would really request is Hamburg, 27.05.2007.... but i know it's uncirculated and i think no one of the staff has it =/" Actually, someone on staff does have it. Chesterchaz taped it, and for some reason (which I have NO idea what it is), he refuses to trade it or release it. He'll give it to his close friends, but not do anything else with it. That's also a show I'd like to hear. I don't have it, nkramar doesn't have it. No idea what to do about this. Some people, I guess.
  2. Also note that most of these are very basic, common show requests. This is meant to be something exclusive and meaningful, so I will be uploading the shows that haven't been released at all in any form rather than the basic shows that are being requested right now.
  3. It's almost the winter season in the US, and that means Christmas is coming right along. I decided, well, since there's nothing really going on these days in terms of Linkin Park news, and I'm not burdened down with much work (besides LPLive 4.0 and some other associated projects), that I'd be in the mood to upload some audio shows. Any requests? Anything goes here, actually. It's time to liberate some shows that have been "rare" for too long for all the wrong reasons, and it's time to get them out of the certain group of people that is holding them hostage. I already have quite a few good shows in mind, but does anyone have any audio shows from 2000-2008 that they'd like to see me upload and present to LPLive? I won't be doing one show a day, but probably one or two shows a week. Don't post silly requests, such as shows that are very common, shows that have no recording from them, or shows that aren't circulated at all (meaning LPLive staff doesn't have it at all). Remember, LPLive is "for the fans, by the fans", so let me know what you'd like to hear. Check the Live Guide for some shows you haven't heard that you'd like to hear, and I'll see what I can do. Please try and request just one show at once, and remember to request one, you need to be REGISTERED on the forums. Thanks.
  4. What are your thoughts on the next CD? We've recently heard and seen on Mike's blog that the band has already sat down and seriously wrote some material for the album. From all the reports that we've been given, they will be heading into the studio this month to write the record. The question I have for you is: when will this thing come out? Will it come out in the summer of 2009? But what about Dead By Sunrise? Will Chester do that and delay the LP album to November? I've heard many predictions about this album. For instance, Preston thinks that they will start cranking out the new songs quickly, and have the record out in May, with some type of Projekt Revolution tour to follow. Some people are telling me winter 2010 is when it's coming. What do you think? Since they've discussed this album for a while now, are they going to just go in and absolutely make a masterpiece in just a few months? What about a producer? M Shinoda? I know I've opened up a can of worms, but I'm wanting to hear some feedback on this one.
  5. The quality is comparable to make excellent video recordings. Great zoom, etc. I'll honestly say it's a great video...comparable I guess to Charlotte 07?
  6. my post on the NIN forums: Well I promise we will for sure tape NIN again. As soon as they tour the south USA again (wow that'll be years I bet), we'll do DVD and AUD for multiple shows. I want to make this up to the NIN community. I'll release the video we shot and you can be the judge, but I think it's alright. I could have gotten the whole show here. I feared my friend was going to get fucked by security so I did what *I* personally at the time thought was the right thing to do morally, and that was to go and try to help him get out of that situation. We were in it together so I'd feel like a complete ass for taping the whole show, standing there while security tears him apart. There is a full audio source from this show. The taper will post it later this month. It was taped right in front of the soundboard on the floor and the quality is excellent because I've heard his recordings from Toledo/2 other mideast shows he did and they rocked. Sorry for not getting the whole show but I guarantee you I will next time. Bi-Lo is absolutely going to get recorded to hell next time NIN hits that place.
  7. where the hell is the founder of this motherfucker preston listed at? jack you need to get your sh!t together holmes
  8. Check this out. Joe was visited by drummer David Choe, and this is what took place at the Hahn mansion/house/insane building where he lives. "The jam session happens. David Choe on the lefty drum set. Yes it looks weird like that, but sounded great as you'd expect. And Joseph Hahn scratching the Qbert battle record. A few quick cuts and beats and See the video below. The drums are loud, but if you're standing near the turntables in the music station area where Joseph usually sits to make beats, then it sounds nice and balanced." More pictures of Joe's house can be found here. That's a lot of shoes!
  9. Actually it's not. I'll post that story hopefully Sunday.
  10. From the 93X blog, "Singer CHESTER BENNINGTON's back injury recently forced LINKIN PARK to cancel a planned five-date tour of China. MIKE SHINODA says Bennington had an injured disk, and while he's expected to make a full recovery, doctors have told him he can't continue to jump off of the band's risers in concert. Explains Shinoda, "The doctor said that's one of the major contributors to his problems, so he's got to knock that off." The Chinese concerts were organized to raise money to benefit the victims of the earthquake earlier this year in Sichuan province. But despite the cancellations, the band's Music For Relief foundation is still making a donation to the cause." Poor Chester! It sucks getting old, I guess. To see Chester's fall at the 2nd Melbourne show from the Australia 2007 tour, you can watch videos and . The LPTV video about it is . Although your wrist is different than your back, I guess he's a little too extreme for the stage performance these days. What does that mean? More songs with the micstand? I sure hope not... To see a short video montage of Chester jumping at live shows so you can see what we're talking about exactly, click here. How scaled back will the live show be? Micstand on 'Given Up'? And speaking of concept albums, I'm seeing Nine Inch Nails in concert on Saturday. Anyone else seen them live?

Full show as far as I know. The LPUers that saw it said the ending (last few songs) was "intense".

Of course that's what I meant, silly. I had no idea it was webcasted. I knew it was on TV today but not webcast.

Well, apparently Japanese TV showed Milton Keynes today on TV, and it was webcasted. Noone really told me about this, so I had no idea, or else I would have recorded it for you all. Oh well, the DVD comes out in November, so we'll see that anyway. Next, Linkin Park is planning to do a concept album for the next CD. For those of you who don't know what one is, a concept album is a CD centered around one idea or one theme. The only disadvantage I can see with doing one is that you won't have such a wide variety of songs on the album, like 'Hands Held High' talking about Iraq, 'The Little Things Give You Away' talking about New Orleans, and 'In Pieces' talking about Chester's divorce with Sam. I'm interested in seeing what the theme is for the 4th album..... "Bennington is mum on details -- "I'm not sure I'm allowed to say what the big plan is," he notes -- but tells Billboard.com that Linkin Park "never envisioned ourselves doing a concept record, but we see an opportunity to do something really cool so we jumped on it, and we'll see how it comes out. I think it's a challenge and we'll see if we can rise to the occasion."" Concept album? My favorite is Year Zero by Nine Inch Nails...go check that one out. What are your thoughts on this? I think it will be excellent....sounds really cool. More news coming soon. I have a sad story to tell sometime soon too. No, it's not about me and the world is not coming to an end, but I thought it would deserve it's own post.
  15. Sorry for the delay guys. I'll fix the page first thing when I get home from school tomorrow.
  16. Remember the LPU Platinum Poll from a month or so ago? The one where they wanted to make another 'tier' membership level for the LPU, thereby charging fans $80 a year for supposedly "exclusive" online content as well as a new LPU 8x10 plaque? Remember how many people voted against it? 164 out of 330, which is 45%, a majority. They listened to the fans, but they are still going to go ahead with the plaque. And yes, you know it's a slow news day when I'm posting something like this. Anyway, here's what they said. LPU HQ (Jessica): "Thanks everyone for taking the time to vote on this messageboard poll! Based on your helpful feedback, we're going to offer the LPU Plaque as a new bonus package item to every member who chooses to purchase it in addition to their regular package. We have decided online membership benefits for ALL members will remain the same. The "Official LPU Certified Member" 8X10 plaque will be a really cool extra merch item for anyone who wants to display their LPU member status! We'll have more news in the coming months about the different LPU8 membership package options and all the package items...get ready for 12/4/08!" Sooooooo.....if you want to feel special about yourself and buy an LPU plaque, knock yourself out. I guess that's the moral of this story. Otherwise, you can join me in waiting for the supposedly epic 8.0 CD that Mike has said WON'T be full of live songs. Minutes To Midnight b-sides anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Ready for December 4th?
  17. .....is now posted! Click here to check it out. I reformatted a few things, so I will be going back and correcting all of the 2000-2007 versions of the pages shortly. I think this is one of the strongest touring summaries we've ever done personally, and for this one, I have Geki to thank for contributing a lot of information to it. Also thanks to everyone that helped with the "Touring Bands" for the year. If anyone sees any errors, feel free to post a comment and I'll take care of it right away. Seems like all of the 2008 work for the Live Guide is done, so now after we correct a few smaller errors on show pages, all work effort will be focused on LPLive 4.0. Thanks for another great year!
  18. Updates: -Brisbane 07 fixed some typos -Updated entire MK page -Updated all UK 03 shows with the Nobody's Listening thing.
  19. Straight from the blog of Shinoda the Cobra Holder, "I've been making songs on my own at home or in the bus, but hadn't gotten to work with the other guys until this week. A few days ago, Joe, Phoenix and I were having some fun at Joe's, and started a couple things. Of the two songs we worked on, one was a heavier, fast-tempo song with heavy guitars and distorted sampled drums, and the other was a little less aggressive, but still dark and upbeat, and had a really interesting chord progression. Joe's got this new MIDI keyboard-turntable unit, where he can make his vinyl play tones that you hit on the keyboard, and we can scratch them in real time. It's pretty cool--I think there's a lot of potential for that thing. Anyway, more updates to come later. We're preparing for a more defined studio schedule in the coming weeks." A picture of Phoenix on bass from the session can be found here: http://media.sparkart.net/mikeshinoda/cont...oenixatWork.jpg Excellent news! Sounds like even though Chester is injured, the rest of the band is getting it together and is ready to write. Two songs being worked on? Great. Can't wait for more updates....
  20. Hey guys, Julien-K has finally picked a release date for their debut CD 'Death To Analog'. After at least 3 and a half years of working on it and touring for years in support of it already, they have decided to finally release it on February 19, 2009. Rumors are that it will be a digital release (iTunes, or the Trent Reznor/Radiohead way possibly) at first, followed by a full CD release at a later date. Stay tuned for updates on that hopefully. Febraury 17 is also the date that TVs in the US will switch to digital signals, getting rid of the antenna sets. Interesting date to pick. They released an 6-track EP earlier this year, containing 'Kick The Bass', 'Technical Difficulties', 'Maestro', and three remixes of these songs, highlighted by Brandon Belsky's remix of 'Maestro' - a remix that's haunting atmosphere sure fits the mood of Reanimation. The animation on their website reveals this image: Excited?
  21. Mike stops Figure.09 at Tokyo 10/27/03 and restarts it.
  22. Hi guys. Here's some random updates for you guys. -First of all, the biggest news first. CONGRATULATIONS to the Linkin Park Touring Crew of 2008! The yearly Parnelli Awards recently took place, which is "the" main awards program for the touring/crew industry. Would you believe that THREE LP crew members took away awards this year? Awesome! Pooch won FOH (Front-Of-House) Engineer, Mike Amato won Tour Manager, and Kevin "Tater" McCarthy won Monitor Mixer, all from the Linkin Park crew. Nice job guys! If you want, you can go post a comment on Pooch's blog and congratulate them. -Link: http://poochblog.evilentertainment.net/index.php -Last night, MTV showed a program called "A Night for Vets: An MTV Concert for the BRAVE" and it featured Leave Out All The Rest....except it was from Milton Keynes, so nothing really exciting here. If they were recorded together they would have split up long ago in the trading circles, and hence that poor audio source you have is probably the best out there... Thanks for the inquiry"
  24. UK November 03 talk about extended Nobody's Listening w/verse from Standing In The Middle. Should we mention if the band went in the crowd at certain shows? I don't think that's important really, but what do you think?
  25. Can't figure where to put the new songs in on this one yet. Help me out. Maybe the order can be fixed a little. By Myself or the Reanimated version? Anything else missing?
