  1. No reason to buy this in my opinion so I'll save my money for the new CD and the new tours the band will do next year.
  2. "(Additional note from Mark): I've got it set up so that when you post news to the "Got News?" section on the forums, the staff can move the news to the homepage with your name still on it...so if you see something that's not on the homepage that you think should go there, throw in that section and we'll move it on over. LPLive is for the fans, by the fans, remember that." 4th post down on the homepage. I moved it. I want the people to submit news and I'll move it over for them.
  3. holy shit LP is getting destroyed
  4. Would you please fucking get off your high horse and stop prancing around with some clown face on into EVERY fucking thread to make some smartass comment that doesn't even make sense? Jesus christ. Atlanta 2007 is obviously one of their best shows of the MTM cycle, and it's very obvious. That's the only one I've said something about, so for me to like a show a lot and for you to have a problem with it, that's fucked up. 2008 was quite normal if I recall correctly. Holy shit, calm down.
  5. Yep, posted an edit to the main post. He was there. There's some shitty YouTube/MySpace videos floating around. And yes, I'm not posting anything by Kerrang on this website. What a bunch of hypocritical fucks.
  6. Julien-K's much advertised West Hollywood, California show was last night, and we have the setlist for you. Surprisingly, with the hints that Chester gave us, he didn't guest appear on anything! Hmm, strange. Well, anyway here you go. West Hollywood , California The Viper Room 21st November 2008 Setlist: 01. Death To Analog 02. Someday Soon 03. Futura 04. Kick The Bass 05. Systeme De Sexe 06. Look At U 07. Maestro 08. Spiral 09. Technical Difficulties 10. Blue Monday (with Jay Gordon) Show Notes: - Longest Julien-K set to date. - This was the first time the band performed 'Futura'. - This was the second and last time that 'Maestro' was performed in 2008. - Jay Gordon joined his Orgy bandmates to perform 'Blue Monday'. Edit: Chester was at least there in the crowd, as shown by this fan picture of this guy named 'Carlos' with him.
  7. Most epic post I've ever seen on LPLive. Holy shit I love it, lol. That is the exact effect I was going for with LPLive. "Oh well there's an entire website dedicated to just their live show." Amazing.
  8. Yup! I was planning to have 3-5 pics from each show page as well as the DSP pics! The show page as you know it will be 100% revamped with at least 4-5 times the amount of information that is currently there. You will be surprised, for sure.
  9. I actually threw in Sooner and Third Encore in since I know LP uses them.
  10. The 2007 tours from Europe in May until Asia in 2007 all had video screens. Europe 2008 had it too if I recall correctly. After that, they did the 360 stage, and then in Europe and PR08 in the summer they had just the backdrop. The band was obviously tired of the videos, so they just used the backdrop. For most of the cycle, they had those huge screens behind the stage. See: The video director did a damn good job. I'm glad they switched it up. The screens rocked, can't wait to see them next time. You can't overuse stuff....keep it original/unique/exclusive
  11. LPLive is of course, the Linkin Park Live Guide. That means that we feature special live news as well as the regular album news. With that being said, I wanted to make a post about the crew for this year. Straight from Pooch, "ANYONE can vote for the 2008 Top Dog Awards. There are all sorts of categories. If you are a fan of the work that Linkin Park's crew did these last two years (or any other crew for that matter) go be a part of it and vote. CLICK HERE TO VOTE You have to go through a simple registration process and then go vote. Thanks for all your support - WE REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR VOTES. Just a reminder of names of Linkin Park crew members: Jim Digby - Production Manager Ethan Merfy - Stage Manager Ken "Pooch" Van Druten - FOH Engineer Kevin "Tater" McCarthy - Monitor Engineer Mike Amato - Tour Manager AJ Pen - Lighting Designer and Lighting Director Hugo Rempel - Production Coord. / Assist. Jeff Mauss - Tour Accountant Skip Twitchell - Video Director Sooner Routhier - Lighting Director Some of the Vendors for Linkin Park were: Trucking Company - Upstaging Catering - Dega Catering Lighting Company - Christie Lights Manufacturer - Adamson Sound Regional Production Company - Atomic Audio Security - NPB Sound Company - Audio Analysts Staging/Rigging Company - Accurate Staging Rehearsal Studio - Third Encore" These are all damn fine crew members if you ask me, and I think they did a remarkable job for Linkin Park this past touring cycle. Let them know you appreciated it and throw in some votes for them. It always feel good to win an award, and I think everyone listed above deserves one. From the very first European run in 2007 through Asia 2007, the North American Winter Tour and on to Projekt Revolution 2008, these guys did an excellent job. From the amazing lighting on the 'From The Inside' intro to the way the tours come together to the way the sound is mixed at the show, these guys are responsible for it. You can't disagree with the fact that this has definitely been the most hardworking, efficient, friendliest, and helpful crew that Linkin Park has ever had. How many of you had emails/comments answered by them for some reason or another? Exactly. It only takes a few minutes to vote (all you do is click a couple of buttons). Show 'em some love! Remember, LP on Rockline later tonight. Links/info later.
  12. Yup we'll record it. If you didn't notice already they have a podcast for the show and it streams on the website the day after the show.....LOL
  13. Awesome! Jesus it's like they're recording an album again with all this news/stuff coming out. Just 1 more thing to add to the list. I'll call in this time and ask about MTM b-sides (again), or Bonnaroo 09 since Phoenix mentioned festivals. I'll say "Since you are thinking about Europe festivals in Summer 09, why not hit Bonnaroo for one day then do the festivals like Metallica did this year?" or something.
  14. Fixed the title w/Mike's name. Thanks. The chorus sounds a little odd but the clip of the verse you hear after it is excellent. Can't wait. I highly doubt this will be on the LPU CD, however.
  15. From my friend Jas at LPTimes, The 'Leave Out All The Rest' single will be available on November 26, according to Warner Music Japan. The tracklisting is as follows: 'LEAVE OUT ALL THE REST' CD SINGLE 01. Leave Out All The Rest 02. Leave Out All The Rest (Live at Milton Keynes) 03. Leave Out All The Rest (M. Shinoda Remix) A small snippet of the remix can be heard here (3rd track down), or you can download the mp3 I ripped from it here. What are your thoughts? Is this going to be as good as the 'What I've Done' remix by Mike? Was that even a good remix in your opinion? ...excited for LPU 8? Haha! For those of you who want it, in the downloads section I just put a 2008 master torrent (11.4gb) of all the 2008 live cd/dsp (digital souvenir package) shows. Check it out.
  16. Head on over to one of my favorite all-time Linkin Park fansites, LPTimes, to check out their brand new design. Besides this fancy, sophisticated new layout Jas is sporting for her beloved site, they have a cool new feature that I like...the "LPTimes Newsire" on the bottom left. It's a newswire that combines the RSS feeds from Music For Relief, LP.com, Mike's blog, a few fansites (LPIBR, LPBR), and coming soon....LPLive! Awesome. If you want news, then LPTimes is definitely the place to get it. Anyway, here's some LPU 8 info I got in an email from the almighty LPU HQ. Well, you all know you can preorder the Road To Revolution DVD over at LP's Bandmerch store. It comes with a fancy pancy shirt, too! Haha. The DVD trailer can be found if you haven't seen it yet. Is it just me or did you find it odd Jay-Z wasn't in the trailer? "LPU8 PREMIER PASS The release of LPU 8 is sneaking up on us! 17. From the blog of the Chief (Mike), "We're working on the new Linkin Park album right now. Will we have a new album out in 2009? Absolutely! And, of course, by "Absolutely," I mean, "Absolutely, as long as things go smoothly and the ideas are flowing, and we don't hit any scheduling problems or massive writers block." Jokes aside, the pic below is from my studio; Chester and I were listening to all the demos I've been writing in the past 6-12 months in busses, studios overseas, and my studio. When we're out on the road doing shows, I generally keep the music on a safe hard drive, in a format that you can't download onto your iPod (gotta be careful). I also don't like playing stuff for anyone unless I feel like I've given it a proper amount of love. That means I go for months where I write stuff and don't really play it for anyone. This week, we went through about 35 new demos, most of which had only had my hands on them thus far. The process is a little scary; it's like saying, "here are the songs that I think should make up our next album." Luckily, nobody hates the songs (at least most of them!), and we're looking forward to getting started on this album in the coming months. I just did an insightful interview with a gentleman named Mikael Wood for a piece in an upcoming issue of Revolver magazine. Check for it in the coming months, I think it was an '09 music preview article." Full article and the picture. Thoughts?
  18. Great idea! I will see what we can do about that. I think that is possible And so far, no we do not have translated versions planned. Why? We are doing daily updates to the site constantly, and to translate that correctly (as well as translate everything we already have) to multiple languages is a hell of a task. If others want to do a native live guide in their language, they are welcome, but it is a big task and I have only seen one that has been successful out of MANY attempts (LPInsideBR). For this reason we'll just remain English-only.
  19. Same here....I'm mainly looking for Papercut/Points. Not really concerned about the rest. Crawling is excellent, however.
  20. Question of the day for you guys - Are you preordering Road To Revolution? Will you be buying it when it comes out? Perhaps you're a person that is just going to download it when it leaks. What are your plans for the new CD/DVD? Anyway, I created a thread in the forums right here that I will update continuously throughout the 4.0 process....sort of like a little blog on the progress of the new version. You can check that periodically and see how things are going, leave feedback, and more. Hopefully this will give a better insight into the work that we are doing. Thanks!
  21. Sorry for no updates recently. I'll be using this thread more frequently. As far as the questions earlier on in this thread go, we've figured out what we're doing. The first stage in this huge process is the Admin Control Panel (ACP) is being created from scratch by graveguard. This is what we were using for LPLive 3.0, which enables staff to log in through a link on the site, navigate to a certain page, and update it like that. It essentially eliminates the FTP process of updating pages (very very helpful). Honestly, we thought it'd be done a little while ago, but we set no deadline and he had other things to do also, so it's no problem that it won't be done until this week. Once that is finished, Legend will be working with me on creating several page templates for the actual design. Once we get a few of those knocked out, [AndOne], several other staff members (SouthernG, nkramar, etc) and I will start tweaking it to exactly how we want it, and we'll be working with Legend during that stage as well to get the exact things done that we need to have on the pages. After we do that, we'll begin adding all of the new features step-by-step to the site. Once we finalize the show page design, I will hand the work over to SergSlim and LESTAT so that they may mass-create all the pages. Simultaneously, the rest of the staff and I will work on all of the new things that are coming in 4.0 (lots of stuff already....the thread of ideas we have is huge). And then once we finish that, we'll review the entire site that we've just built up and make appropriate final touches. Of course, the next thing after that is to set a launch date for you guys. We are a little later than I expected in getting started, but I honestly don't see that as a problem. Dead By Sunrise is expected in the spring, so I think we have plenty of time. Instead of December/Christmas for a release, probably late January or so is how it is looking now. Possibly February. However, I will be making constant updates in this thread to let you guys see and know exactly what is going on. I won't set many deadlines because I know from experience that whenever you set one, you get jinxed and always end up missing it. Anyway, more updates soon. We should begin a lot of actual work this week (aka within the next few days). Thanks!
  22. Post news here that doesn't necessarily deserve its own thread. Something not Newsworthy, but is worth a discussion about. Example: New promo pictures, etc.
  23. All that exists are Faint and Somewhere I Belong. The setlist isn't even confirmed...it's all rumors, and I highly doubt any other recordings exist.
  24. http://lplive.net/shows/20070528.php No encore break at this show
