  1. I will try my hardest to keep LPLive up for as long as possible.
  2. I'd just like to take this time to say and to let you guys know that today is.... LPLive 2.0's first birthday! Yep, we launched the "big" version of the site, 2.0, on this exact date one year ago. A fact you might not know is that when we started working on the version, we pushed very hard for it to come out on this exact date because of the Brisbane, Australia show. Why that show, you ask? Shadowfax, the head coder/designer behind the project, would be attending the show and letting Mike know about our new "project" at the Meet and Greet. Cool, right? Anyway, that's why we launched on this date exactly 365 days ago. This has been a huge year for us, with many advancements on both the website and in the many tours by the band since then. I'd like to thank ALL the members, ALL of the community, everyone who was involved, and the staff (I think very highly of them) for such a good first "real" year for the site. Thanks to the band for checking the site out, thanks to ALL of the 'behind the scenes' workers (you know who you are!) that give us an *incredible* amount of exclusive information, media, and content. I hope to make the second year of LPLG, LPLive, The Linkin Park Live Guide, or whatever you want to call it, even better, ESPECIALLY with the launch of LPLive 4.0. The work is coming along really well if I may say so myself, and I'm sure you guys are just as ready as I am for the band to start touring again. How about a new CD, eh? LPU 8, anyone? Meanwhile, we'll keep you up to date by posting as much LP news as possible, throwing some sweet media up, having some questions each day in the news to keep you involved, and hopefully keeping track of the shows Dead By Sunrise plays! I do have to say that I am VERY pleased with the new forum layout, and I am also quite surprised at how many people have registered and how busy the site is! Thank you very much for all your support that has gotten us this far - the site would not be nearly what it is today if I didn't have all of you hardcore fans supporting the site, helping us out, reporting the info from the shows (even the international fans in places like Denmark, Latvia, Australia, and Spain!), and just overall coming here to have a good time. I'm glad LPLive has been a resource that you can refer to if you need something in the range of a live show by the band, and I hope you guys will stick with us in the future. I had no idea when I first had the idea to make this site that it'd get as far as it has now. Thanks! -Mark
  3. I can try and get a taper if you all really think DBS might be playing. All they have to do is get Chester and Fu out there and DBS can play.
  4. A new show! Yeah! But wait, not a Linkin Park show..... Julien-K will be playing on November 21st at The Viper Room in West Hollywood, California. Julien-K, you say? Yeah, we usually don't report on things like a new Julien-K show, especially since the date has been on the Julien-K Live Guide page for several days, but when Linkin Park sent out a MySpace bulletin today about it, something seemed odd. Just as you could have guessed, the bottom of the bulletin says, "I'll be there with my JK button on singing every word!..................C" As you can also guess, I'm sure that that means Chester will be there. The questions, though, that I will leave you will be the following: -Will Chester just be at the show for the heck of it? -Will he sing on 'Technical Difficulties' like he usually does for them, and perhaps on 'Maestro?' -Since Julien-K is planning to release their album in January, could this be a joint-promo show for Julien-K and an unannounced surprise guest: "Dead By Sunrise"? What do you think? And we hope you enjoy the new forums! 4.0 is coming along nicely. This is the forum that will be integrated fully into the new version of LPLive when it debuts hopefully around January. Things that are being worked on being fixed for the forums include patching the Private Messaging system up, adding a "newest post first" option to threads, and assessing why some links/quotes are not working properly. Thanks for the support! Thanks to 'persephone' for the news.
  5. Delete your cookies/cache and it will work just fine for you.
  6. New forum absolutely owns if you ask me. Next step is integrating it with the homepage when 4.0 drops.
  7. Here's the main thread for posting interviews. Interviews with band members by the press, etc, or even fans. New album news, tour news, etc. Leave a link or embed a video. The YouTube embedding tags are: "[ y t h d ]" "[ / y t h d ]" (without the spaces or parentheses)
  8. The second one might be it. I think I remember reading some news that Mike said he went to the studio to write some stuffs something like that. I also remember that Phoenix said they wrote some new material during that break. But who knows............. I hope DBS will be out soon then Chester can focus one new LP album ha. Mike said the LPU CD won't be new LP album material. Case closed.
  9. Shows That Need To Be Made Up - Linkin Park These are only the cities that have not been made up years later. For example, even though Hamburg 2001 was canceled, the band played in Hamburg in 2003. Albuquerque 2008 was canceled, but they played there later that year (on a different tour). These are the cities in which the band has canceled a show and not returned. Sweden is very unique because the band has canceled THREE times. 15.09.2000 Saint Petersburg, FL, Jannus Landing, Kottonmouth Kings 'Riding High' Tour 27.02.2001 Oporto, Portugal, Coliseum, LP Supporting Deftones Tour 09.09.2001 Stockholm, Sweden, Solnahallen, European Headline Tour 11.04.2003 Evansville, IN, Robert's Stadium, Projekt Revolution Tour 30.04.2003 North Little Rock, AR, Alltell Arena, Projekt Revolution Tour 12.06.2003 Hultsfred, Sweden, Hultsfred Folkets Park, Hultsfred Festival, European Tour 13.06.2003 Oslo, Norway, Frognerbadet @ Vigeland Park, Norwegian Wood Festival, Eur. Tour 21.06.2003 Barcelona, Spain, Estadio Olímpic de Barcelona, Doctor Music Day, European Tour 02.03.2008 El Paso, TX, Don Haskins Center, North American Arena Tour 14.06.2008 Hultsfred, Sweden, Hultsfred Folkets Park, Hultsfred Festival, European Tour 15.06.2008 Interlaken, Switzerland, Flugplatz Interlaken, Greenfield Festival, European Tour 24.06.2008 Istanbul, Turkey, Kuruçe?me Arena, European Tour 06.10.2008 Las Vegas, NV, The Joint @ Hard Rock Hotel, UNLV Private Show 12.10.2008 Shanghai, China, Shanghai Stadium, Music For Relief Asian Benefit Tour 15.10.2008 Wuhan, China, Xinhua Lu Stadium, Music For Relief Asian Benefit Tour 17.10.2008 Taipei, Taiwan, Zh?ngsh?n Soccer Stadium, Music For Relief Asian Benefit Tour 19.10.2008 Beijing, China, Beijing Workers' Stadium, Music For Relief Asian Benefit Tour 21.10.2008 Macau, China, Cotai Arena @ The Venetian Resort, Music For Relief Asian Benefit Tour
  10. Pretty sure Mike meant number 2.
  11. Just because the band says something will be released doesn't mean it'll actually happen. See: Machine Shop Mixtape Vol. 2 new song, Minutes to Midnight B-sides. Plus, the missing songs probably won't have the proper transitions from the existing songs, so it'll be impossible to make a proper "full" recording of the show anyway. http://ethanmates.com/News.html"'> http://ethanmates.com/News.html March/April- Mixed bonus tracks and b-sides for Linkin Park’s “Minutes to Midnight” upcoming release at Larrabee North, Los Angeles. http://www.livedaily.com/news/12493.html"'> http://www.livedaily.com/news/12493.html Will any of the remaining songs see the light of day? I think so. One of them was released as an iTunes exclusive, called "No Roads Left," and I think the other ones will eventually find their way out. We don't know exactly what we're going to do with them yet. We have four or five other songs that are kind of really good and almost done. So, I think so. A lot of them will probably never see the light of day. We're going to hide them and erase them, because they're horrible.
  12. I think that Papercut on HT absolutely destroys most of their songs they've ever written.....I don't see how you can say the Reanimation version is better.
  13. So here it is, the 'Is it Fake?' thread. If you want to know if something is legitimate Linkin Park lyrics/songs/whatever, post it here and someone will answer back. I'm sure there will be someone who can answer those questions quickly. This will be much easier then a million threads about this same thing, and will stop all the repeats from popping up hopefully. Possibly we can make a huge list of fake material, so we can just reference this thread if anyone needs it. I'll start you off. None of this is LP: Ground Xero, Splitting the DNA, Under Attack, Erection, All that Jazz, My Lady, Nobody Owns Me, The Good Times, Take U Down, Drive By Shooting, The Mission, Stop and Think, Body Crumbles, My Reason, I Just Want Your Company, Sway, Exorcist, Dust In the Wind, Pool of Death, Faded, Secret, Giving In (feat. Adema), Wake Me Up Inside (feat. Evanescence), Pool of Fears, Poem, Don't Remember
  14. I think Wake 2.0 will be on the DVD but not the CD, and Papercut, Points and SIB will be extras on the DVD content (bonuses). Teem Sleep 'My December' remix info from Astat circa 2006: (taken from the LPAssociation forums) "It's supposed to be a really dark and moody techno/ambience remix of My December done by Team Sleep and featuring scratches by the legendary DJ Shadow, but that's about all anyone knows about it. I don't think being too "dark" for the album is the sole reason though, if Mike saw it as not album-worthy and then never released it but did put out 2 other Reanimation b-sides, chances are it may not have been a very good remix in the first place."
  15. I think he was kidding. 10 tracks at the most in my opinion. 6 is possible. I don't think it'll have MTM remixes since the only one ever confirmed was the What I've Done remix by Mike, and then it was on a single release later on. Haven't heard of any others. I remember a 2003 interview though where they said they had some Meteora remixes but weren't planning on releasing them on any new project or anything. Possible they could be on this. Imagine a CD with like an old b-side/demo like Dedicated or something, 1-2 MTM b-sides, 2 Meteora remixes, and some other cool track like a Joe instrumental. Oh man.
  16. He didn't say it won't be MTM b-sides or demos. He said it's not going to be NEW album material. They've hardly written any, so that makes sense. Source for the Wake 2.0 comment? I've never heard that. They said they remixed some Meteora songs but never did anything with them, so it's possible they might be on there too.
  17. Good to see Chester is doing well. How about OLD unreleased Linkin Park album music? {SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_biggrin.gif
  18. Straight from the blog at http://www.mikeshinoda.com: "POSTED BY STELIOS (about ROAD TO REVOLUTION DVD/CD) "The rest of the stuff will be made available to you, though...you'll see!" oh mike, please tell me that you dont mean that the rest of the live songs will be on the lpu8 cd! no more live songs! Mike: No, the leftover live songs won't be the new LPU CD. We heard your comments about the last LPU CD needing to have more unique material, so we're trying to do that. I think this year's LPU CD will be one of the best ever. At the very least, it'll be the most unique. Here's what it won't be: live tracks, new unreleased Linkin Park album music. (insert frantic guessing game here). POSTED BY EVERYONE Hey Mike! How's Chester doing? Mike: He emailed me saying he's recovering well. We'll let you know when there's an update." For those of you who don't know already, LPUnderground 8.0 will be launching on December 5, 2008. And here's a shoutout to my friend Energy (Simon) over at http://www.lpfuse.co.uk who has been dying to hear the Team Sleep remix of 'My December' for as long as I can remember. The one question never answered in every LPU chat - here's to you hoping it'll be on LPU 8.
  19. Talk about random - here's some information for you. The LPLive Staff and a few other community members use a chatroom based on the the IRC (Internet Relay Chat) client mIRC. Back in the day, before AOL Instant Messenger, MSN Messenger, and the others were popular, people used IRC clients to talk. In some parts of the world, believe it or not, this is still the preferred client to message others with. In relation to the Linkin Park community, IRC was used as far back as 2001 in the #linkinpark channel for discussion and trading of old shows, back when trading recordings of shows was very popular. The channel lasted all the way until last year, believe it or not. That's when we got the idea to create an #lplive.net channel, and that's what we use now. Site members such as [AndOne], Kobzone, Neil McCooeye, nkramar, Jack, SergSlim, Dr. Biggy, Chesterchaz, Joe_LP and more are just some of the ones that use this room to talk about general life, the band, the live shows, and whatever else they feel like discussing. Other site owners such as Alex from Linkin-Inside pop in from time to time. More information on IRC can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_Relay_Chat WINDOWS GUIDE: If you'd like to join in and come see what we're up to, you are by all means welcome to. You can download mIRC here: http://www.mirc.com/get.html. Once you get it installed, hit File -> Select Servers. Pick "EFnet", and you can choose whichever server on there you'd like. I prefer the "Random US Server" option. Once you get that accomplished and you join the server, just type in " /join #lplive.net " and you'll be popped right in. If you have any questions, post a simple comment and I'll address them. MAC GUIDE: If you'd like to join in and come see what we're up to, you are by all means welcome to. You can download Snak here: http://www.snak.com/. Once you get it installed, make sure through the setup process you Type EFnet and the Room name is #lplive.net and you can choose whichever server on there you'd like. I prefer selecting all of the servers. Once you get that accomplished and you join the server, just type in " /join #lplive.net " and you'll be popped right in. If you have any questions, post a simple comment and I'll address them. If you want a 4.0 update, the layout is going good. Legend has a pretty nice layout so far in my opinion. He's putting the final touches on it now. Once he finishes, graveguard will start coding the ACP (Admin Control Panel) which allows you to edit the entire site by logging in through a browser instead of using the FTP process. Nothing REALLY exciting yet, but I'll keep you updated throughout the process.
  20. Mike posted on his website/blog, http://www.mikeshinoda.com, saying "POSTED BY THAPOET: great idea Mike!! btw could you please re-consider or explain why Somewhere I Belong, Papercut, P.O.A, and Wake 2.0 has been left out on Road to Revolution. Thank You Veteran Fan m/ M: I posted about this on the LP.com message board, but it was a small, random post, so I'm not surprised you didn't see it. CDs have limited space (74 min?), so all the audio wouldn't fit. We decided to keep the DVD and CD consistent. The rest of the stuff will be made available to you, though...you'll see!" LPUnderground 8 CD? Will we ever get any demos and b-sides?
  21. Well, for those of us who were fortunate to even get their Hybrid Theory EPs in the mail from the Bandmerch sale that seemed alright but was a big catastrophe in the end, you think that the person getting the HTEP would cherish it, right? After all, they got it for $10, more or less. Nope! Not with this guy! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...E:X:RTQ:US:1123 Check it out - the absolute douchebag of the day. "Welcome to a wade3_wright1 listing! I am a big Linkin Park fan and just got in a SEALED HYBRID THEORY EP which was re-released in LPU1. These are not for sale anymore so here is one of YOUR prime chances at getting a sought after CD for your collection." Yep, he got in the $10 HTEP and is reselling it for $130. Incredible. So whoever wade3_wright1 is, we know how big of a fool he is. Thanks for the laugh! It's even funnier when you realize out of the hundreds (and possibly thousands) that ordered the CD, that only a VERY small percentage of them actually have gotten them. So for those that have been lucky enough to be sent one, we know that at least one is an absolute fool. He claims to be a big Linkin Park fan? Possibly, but that doesn't give you the right to rip everyone off. Lastly, the Music For Relief event turns out to be World United Music Festival, not a Linkin Park series of shows. https://www.worldunitedmusicfestival.com/ Thoughts?
  22. I was just going to clarify why I like BTH from RaR04 so much. Chester's voice was the absolute best it ever was in that period from Glasgow 2004 to Sao Paulo 2004 in my opinion. He was very strong and you can see it reflected really well on BTH from that period. At RaR, the proshot is excellent. The entire band is into the song. They're all bobbing their heads, Brad is fucking singing, Mike is rocking out on the keys, etc. Very nice. Chester absolutely destroys the bridge and the ending - I've never seen him give it so much on the last chorus than at Rock am Ring 2004. Everything flowed perfectly, and while I like the medley of BTH/Numb on PR04 and BTH from Live 8, I like BTH from RaR04 the most.
  23. Music For Relief is looking for volunteers who live in or could travel to San Marcos, TX on November 14, 15 or 16, if you want to be a volunteer send email to whitney@musicforrelief.org. Any ideas what this is for? The last time they asked for volunteers was for what turned out to be Mike's Art Show, Glorious Excess: Born. However, it seems unlikely that the art show is out on the road since Mike has said that he doesn't plan to take it anywhere else. What could this be? Is Linkin Park playing three random shows in Texas in November? I wonder what's going on? Is this just a random helping-out kind of ordeal? Lastly, what do you guys think of a wiki? A Linkin Park wiki. What do you think of LPLive working with LPProjekt.com, a site run by our good friend JNudda, on a wiki? Once they crank out their new version, LPProjekt 2.0, we have some plans to work with them on a new Linkin Park wiki, exclusive to these two sites. Would you guys be willing to work on it with us and fill it all in? Question of the day for you guys - What's your favorite performance of 'Breaking The Habit' live? Remember the performances such as Rock am Ring 2004, Live 8 2005, Webster Hall, etc. Perhaps you liked it when it was first webcasted at KROQ 2003. Maybe you liked the version on the grand piano on the Meteora World Tour in 2004. Personally, I'll have to go with the Rock am Ring 2004 performance, which is still my favorite performance of any Linkin Park track played live yet. Check that out here: . Looking forward to reading some good replies on this. Sorry it's a slow news month, but we're trying!
  24. Can we come up with a list of incomplete proshot shows? Perhaps a list of the ones like Rock im Park, etc, and then another for all the shows that have had clips of the first 3 songs shown live. I think it'd be time consuming but worth it to get that list in case we ever had the opportunity to pursue that information in the future. Which video is the Kimmel setlist in? Faint, Don't Stay, or Numb? Whichever one it is, can you get me a screenshot from the highest quality you have it in? Thanks.
