  1. Sure, I bet we can integrate mirc somehow to the site. anyway, yeah the interesting facts will be there. ive got plenty of things planned with those....
  2. Yeah. One is for the bonus material I think, not sure about the other one. I guess there's nothing there since noone has found it yet, though. Oh well.
  3. On behalf of LPLive's Staff, I'd like to wish all the visitors and users of the site a Happy Thanksgiving! Remember...don't deep fry your turkey indoors. And also don't deep fry your frozen turkey, haha! Anyone wanna get the LPU 8 tracklisting for us for a beautiful Thanksgiving present? ......Anyone? ....What about the 'Leave Out All The Rest (M. Shinoda Remix)'? Alright, on to the goodies. Fun fact: Has Linkin Park ever played a show on Thanksgiving? Nope! The band barely missed it in 2000 on an off day (November 23) between Kansas City, Missouri and St. Louis, Missouri on POD's "King Of Game Tour". Thanksgiving in 2001 (November 22) fell right in the middle of the band's "Countdown To Revolution Tour" with their friends (hed)pe, DJ Z-Trip, and the X-Ecutioners. The show leading up to Turkey day was in southern California, so it is likely they spent the time at home with their families. Of course, in 2002 they were finishing up Meteora, as we all know. In 2003, the band just barely missed Thanksgiving as well. They played the last show of their short, five-show November run in the UK with the Lostprophets on November 25, 2003 in Cardiff, England at....the Arena! You know, the only LP tour that opened with 'Papercut'. Yeah, that one. In 2004, 2005, and 2006 as you know, they weren't actively touring at that point in the year. Lastly, they also had an off day in 2007 on Thanksgiving between their Hong Kong and opening Japanese shows. 2007 is most likely the first year they spent away from home on Thanksgiving since 2000. And of course, in 2008, they're at home writing the new record! My present for you? A link to this beautiful MTV Buzzworthy interview with Phoenix and Chester. "This project's gonna be different than anything we've done in the past. Not only musically, but also the medium in which you receive it will be different, and it's very top top secret. Very secretive." says Phoenix. "It's something that people will be able to look at and hopefully say, 'Wow, that's different...nobody's ever done that before...and they'll be right". Is Linkin Park finally pulling the Trent Reznor/Radiohead way of releasing the album!? Enough info for you? Thought so. Let's hear your thoughts! Have a good one!
  4. Just noticed something. I've listened to LIT a billion times, so I know what I'm talking about on this one. Don't Stay from LIT is found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ovl69ajRc7g Ok, so now listen to the LPU 3 version after that. The bridge is edited differently! On LIT, RIGHT after the chorus Mike says "You guys ready to get up!?". On LPU 3, there's a pause and his vocal comes in after a few seconds break in the bridge. That's not that big of a difference, but yeah that's indeed something different between the 2 versions when I thought they were the exact same thing. They cut and pasted vocals?
  5. http://lplive.net/personal/mark/rtrbonus.jpg Some people are saying there's subtitles on the video files themselves....?
  6. From Mike's newest blog post: "Great review for Road To Revolution...hope you're all enjoying it. And if you look carefully, maybe you'll find something extra on there..." Is he talking about just the 3 bonus tracks after the credits ('Somewhere I Belong', 'Papercut', and 'Points Of Authority)? Or does Mike mean that there is something actually hidden on one of the DVD files? What do you think? It seems a bit...too easy to find the 3 songs at the end of the DVD, even though it does say "You unlocked bonus content" at the end. Thoughts? Remember, on Frat Party you had to go hunting. "Go to Main Menu then Special Features. Go back again to the Main screen and then press UP UP DOWN DOWN LEFT RIGHT LEFT RIGHT buttons waiting about a second after each buttons. (This one works the best)" Some people are saying there's two subtitles after the menu? Mess around and see what you guys can find.
  7. Check out this page. Scroll down halfway until it shows you a tracklisting, and then click the blue link next to the tracks. When the popup opens, it's entitled "L.O.A.T.R." and it is a new :45 second sample of the intro of the song. Of course, this is a translated page, which I'm sure is easier to navigate for some of you. The original :30 sample was found on this page. Yes, it is on a Japanese Import EP of 'Leave Out All The Rest'....just like 'In The End - Live & Rare'. The release date was November 25, which has already passed. Now, only to figure out how to buy it so we can all hear it! Any ideas?
  8. You have to admit at Atlanta 2007 that Chester absolutely nailed What I've Done and The Little Things Give You Away. I'm a little biased because I was there, but listening to the recording of it....I mean that's one of the best WID's he has done vocally (ever) in my opinion. TLTGYA from that show is still the best performance of it IMO as well.
  9. I think the Orgy version is godly as FUCK. I love it. Jay is such a good front man. He brought so much energy to this track.
  10. any news from MFR lately amanda?
  11. Ah yeah, true. I mean Chester taught Ryan a lot of what he knows/does live. I mean Ryan is a much better front man (for JK) than he was initially because Chester helped him quite a bit. I saw Julien-K in 2007 and I have to say for a 9 song setlist, I was damn impressed. The lights, etc were great, the song order was perfect, and the whole band was into it. Death To Analog is an A+ song to open with...and I think Ryan's stage presence is pretty sweet. Hopefully they tour again soon so we can go catch their newer songs being performed live.
  12. Yeah. A lot of JK fans hate Chester, lol. Anyway, I love him on Technical Difficulties...and I wish we could have heard what he sounded like on Maestro. Actually, there might be a Maestro video from Chicago. I know he sang it with them at one small small JK show, but I need to look for a video. I don't think his voice is perfect for the JK songs...I think Ryan is a bit better, but Chester as a guest for them is perfect. Chester's voice is a tad too high for the songs that Ryan usually sings, in my opinion.
  13. I agree. I don't think his voice at MK was THAT strong...I think he was having a little bit of a VERY rare "off-day" for Chester. I'm sure it sounded ok live, but you can definitely tell in the recording. Well, that's the way it seems to me...maybe others disagree.
  14. I agree, I agree. WIC is amazing. That Julien-K record is going to be AWESOME though. Only a few months too. Something great to look forward to (with a definitive release date) after the LPU 8 CD.
  15. Pooch says: The past few days have been interesting. Dylan and I have been working hard to finish up Milton Keynes for LP Live and also getting the other two Canadian shows done. We finally completed those, but while we were doing that we were also mixing several songs that they were going to go to radio, to help promote the tour. We mixed three versions of Hunger Strike and three versions of Crawling for LP Management. This was quite an undertaking. We had to start from scratch with Chris Cornell and build a template for him. All in all, I thought it was all sounding really good. Well, unbeknownst to me, no one had ever talked to Chris Cornell's management to see if this was all kosher. What the fuck? So now I look like the bad guy for mixing Chris Cornell and giving it to LP management? Geez. The worst part about all this is that after all that - the hard work that both Dylan and I did for three days, may never see the light of day because of stupid politics. I don't have a problem working hard. I DO have a problem with working hard, and then throwing my work away, never to be heard. I contacted him yesterday too. Mark: Pooch remember the 'Crawling' audio that you mixed for radio release after the first few PR08 shows? I'm 99% sure that's the one that just got released by the LPUnderground on their new CD (the 'Hunger Strike' you two did is there too, so trust me, none of it went to waste). Anyway, they just posted 'Crawling' for us to download and damn it sounds good. Very impressive. I'm quite excited we got to get this since it didn't make it to radio...one of the top mixes for sure. Pooch: Yeah - I heard a week ago they were going to release that stuff. Do you have a link to it? I am really glad they released it, because I think it is pretty cool too. Mark: Of course. The only downside is that it's censored, but this pretty much kicks some ass. I bet Hunger Strike is way better than that awful mix Chris put up on his YouTube. Pooch: Yeah we censored it because it was going to radio. On July 30th, we were discussing the setlists that had been played so far, and he said this: I don't think that Place for my head is gonna make the cut - oh well - I like that song too. Did you hear the crawling on the radio? Didn't know if they had "leaked" it yet? And yes it came from pittsburgh with my radio edits in it. Talk to you later. So yes, it was mixed for radio, trust me. And then, I guess you can add the MTV broadcast info to the live guide somehow. Boston and Hartford. Here's what he said about this back in July: We spent the last two days getting all the stuff ready for an MTV broadcast this week that will promote the tour. I mixed LOATR and Bleed it Out, plus We Made It, and No such thing for Chris Cornell, from the Boston and Hartford shows. All will be broadcast sometime later this week on MTV. If I here about broadcast specifics, I will let you know.
  16. He came out on Technical Difficulties a few times with Julien-K, and then he filled in for Ryan at the Chicago PR show and sang their whole set (which includes Kick The Bass).
  17. Check out this SICK video of Julien-K performing 'Blue Monday' with Jay from Orgy right...... HERE. Good quality, eh? How cool is Jay's jacket? Nice performance! Futura from the same show can be found . A full recording of the entire show will be released in 2 weeks, and of course we'll have it all linked up all nice and pretty on LPLive for you guys.I love Julien-K personally and can't wait for the album on Feb 17. My favorite live song that they've done is 'Forever'...and you can listen to it being performed at Club Tattoo 2006 here. Excited for Death To Analog? How about some Dead By Sunrise afterwards? And some joint shows together? Yeah? And then a badass new Linkin Park album?
  18. crawling and hunger strike sources need to be added to the burgettstown page. mention they were for radio release, but then management changed their mind and then put them on the SFTU CD.
  19. http://www.amazon.com/Leave-Out-All-The-Re...553&sr=8-10 LOATR from Clarkston 07 Is this the same version as the DSP or is it mixed differently?
  20. Anyone have the song yet? edit: I think this is on a Japanese-only EP.
  21. LP is the most critical band of their music that I have ever seen in my life. Hence why we never get any b-sides or anything. They criticize and work on their songs an INCREDIBLE amount. On the Meteora DVD for example... Chester: "We just rewrote a song ........ ................ ....for the 97th time." Anyway, they wrote Meteora then scrapped the ENTIRE album, then rewrote it. Yep. And for MTM they spent 18 months doing it. I have full faith in Mike kicking some ass with this one, and him solo-producing it is exactly what I've wanted to hear for quite a while.
  22. Everything sounds good, but I highly doubt LP had anything to do with the tracklisting for the CD. The selection of songs was done by the LPU public poll, not LP themselves.
  23. Too bad the CDs go up ASAP anyway. No need to wait a year.
  24. yep. the gap in the curse word, etc. that's it im sure.
  25. Straight from the new LPUnderground email, and compiled by LPLive users 'BritneySpears' and 'Revolution1985', as well as site staff member 'Hahninator', the newest updates are listed below. Songs From The Underground The Songs From The Underground CD will be available this weekend at Best Buy stores. "As promised, we're giving LPU members the first peak at the track listing for Songs From The Underground! The CD will only be available at select Best Buy locations and features never before released versions of "Hunger Strike" (Live from Projekt Revolution 2008) - Chris Cornell featuring Chester Bennington and "My December" (Live 2008)! 1. Announcement Service Public - LPU 6.0 2. Qwerty (Studio Version) - LPU 6.0 3. And One - LPU 1.0 4. Sold My Soul To Yo Mama - LPU 4.0 5. Dedicated (Demo 1999) - LPU 2.0 6. Hunger Strike (Live from Projekt Revolution 2008) = Chris Cornell featuring Chester Bennington - NEW 7. My December (Live 2008) - NEW 8. Part of Me - LPU 1.0" Crawling (Live from PR08) Download "Crawling" Live (featuring Chris Cornell) is now available for download as an exclusive perk of the LPU! We wanted current LPU members to be the FIRST to get access to this download so visit the "Free Audio" section at www.lpunderground.com/downloads. This seems to be the remastered version by Pooch/Dylan for potential radio release (which turned out to not take place, but instead the song was used for this CD). I'm pretty sure it's from the Burgettstown show since 'Crawling' has that gap during the curse word. Unfortunately IT IS CENSORED! Anyone wanna take a shot at overdubbing a few curse words to uncensor it? American Music Award Note From Brad Congratulations to Linkin Park for winning an American Music Award for Favorite Artist, Alternative Rock Music! Below is a message from Brad: Thank you SO much for your continued support of our band. We've been making music as Linkin Park for almost a decade, and, in that time, your collective dedication has never waned. We're so honored to have won an American Music Award last night, and are incredibly grateful to everyone who voted for us online. We worked for a year and a half to make Minutes to Midnight, and spent an additional eighteen months on tour supporting it. I hope you enjoy the album as much as I still do. Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Holidays. BBB Let's hear your opinion on all of this, LPLive!
