  1. I think I can safely say that whatever LP put out next, it'll Polarize people.
  2. ATS part 2 >>>> HT Part 2 Regardless what we get, I don't mind less guitar if the guitar that's there is brilliant/unusual/different (like W4TE) I rather that than brad bring back lazy powerchords of old. I want to hear their technical skills.
  3. urmm, i'd rather have remixes & cover songs than nothing at all! Who knows, they could be really great.
  4. lol @ people suggesting action figures & dolls! Heck, I wouldn't complain though they'd be too expensive to make! But yeah, as long as they bring back the CD in membership package ----IF NOTHING ELSE---- I'd be happy!
  5. I think I'm in the middle of this debate. I'm perfectly happy with the sets their putting out now, It a great mix of the new and the old with the best tracks off the 4 main albums. But like a lot of people here, I'd love to see more old songs brought back. Heck, I'd die for a full encore of LP playing the HT EP in full, but I know that will never happen But like everyone's been saying on this thread all they need to do for ever 2 or gigs or so is play just ONE old, non-single track. It doesn't have to be a b-side, it doesn't have to be a demo, but it could be just as simple as With you or In pieces. I was very lucky when I saw LP back in 2008 as they played A place for my head in the encore. Never in my wildest dreams did I think they'd play it, but they did. That's one song was probably what made that show for me. So its proof that even if its just one song, it can change your opinion on a setlist just like that. I understand what the band are saying that the 'causal fans' wouldn't know it or appreciate it, but as far as I remember, everyone in the O2 went apeshit when brad hit the first note of a Place for my head. The roar of the crowd was deafening at that point. here's proof (see at 1.56) : So I call "bullshit" if they think casual fans love it :awesome:
  6. woah, I saw this episode last night (brilliant as usual) but I didn't even notice them talking about QWERTY at all. I'm gonna have to watch this again. What point in the video did it come up? And what show where they planing to do it for?
  7. Yeah, but its only like 6 songs overall with actual cursing. And by the way, ATS is definitely not a pop album.
  8. Haha the thing is I liked Ana. She did a good job of describing each track I guess. But her judgment/opinion on certain tracks was misleading xD Though saying that, I remember her describing WTCFM and saying that it had an insanely heavy guitar riff - heaviest brads ever done. Then I heard it for myself: It was just a distorted synth xD Well for starters, Prented to be would look totally out of place on ATS. it has a rawer/stripped down feel that would have been much more suited to MTM. Yep, RB is very underrated. Not my favorite mind you, But still a great song. and yes, that synth solo is indeed epic.
  9. What I think they should do with LPU11 is basically a mix of everything they've done before. So: Demos, b-sides, remixes, MMM...Cookie songs, covers & a few Good live tracks. A nice mix and variety, lets say 11 songs? thats my bet
  10. Not to sound like a nerd you guys but "up-beat" means, "happy, optimistic, pleasant". And sure, ATS has a lot of songs like this; "Waiting for the end" for example. But I think you guys mean is that you want more "up-tempo" tracks like "Blackout" etc that are fast paced and full of energy. Cause there's no way I'd consider Wretches & Kings or even the Catalyst as anything but down-beat songs with pessimistic lyrics like that xD Correct me if I'm wrong!
  11. Awesome! I was hoping they'd do one like they did for New Divide
  12. Really? i didn't think a song without a chorus (robot boy) a song with instense screaming over at eplectic electronics (Blackout) and a crazy/instense song with with complex percussion, no lyrics for a chorus all with middle-eastern vocals (when they come for me) could even be considered pop?
  13. Yeah its so strange that they haven't played BITS in Europe yet. Especially as its the latest single. They have to play it, even if its just for this tour. Cause isn't that what LP have always been about? Playing only their singles!?
  14. Holy cr*p that must be a rumor surely? Why would they pull out!? :s
  15. Its crazy to think that back in the day, 2004, when the band was heavier they had so much trouble with the audience. It must be because of their huge following now that it dosen't effect them as much as it used to. But anyway, for Download's sake, I really hope they play a heavier set than usual. Even if its the adition of one or two songs, the rest of the contenders can still be there too. Basically Nova Rock's setlists with a few more heavy tracks.
  16. I sure hope so! I really want LP to make me regret going to DL this year! They have to play a heavy set, as festival audiences are notorious for dismissing bands like LP for not being "metal" enough. If they play the right songs, LP could give SOAD a run for there money... though I did say "could".
  17. Exactly! Xmas songs like My December should stay in DECEMBER! As much as I love that song and as much as I was thrilled they played it the last time i saw them (in Feb), they should only play it in December! Sorry, but I'm weird like that
  18. To be honest, whenever its played (even if its in the bridge of BIO) its a fantastic live song like no other. Easily one of the best live songs of the band. To this day it still packs a punch and why they cut it from Live in Texas CD is beyond me... Ah well, at least we got the recording on LPU3. Though I can't help but wonder if we could have got a load of other unique tracks (even demos?) on it instead.
  19. Don’t get your hopes up, though. It’s probably nothing very special or interesting. Lol Mike says it all. And there was me thinking it'll be something big and epic! it seems like LP is on hiatus after this weeks lack of news haha
  20. lol geez guys, leave him alone, Charv's has opened up a great topic! Sure, I've seen the chester one before, but I've never seen either of Mike's photos! haha wow takes you back! Great find!
  21. What pissed me off about the "new" website was that I TRIED to purchased a ticket for the LPU summit @ London. But the damn website wouldn't even let me buy a ticket. A first I thought it was just my computer/internet, but I tried again at my uni and still no luck. In the end I missed the summit cause' of the tech issues on the site. Luckily I had already had something else planned that day that i was already looking forward to, so I wasn't too heartbroken about missing it. Maybe it was because I was an LPU9 member could that had something to do with it?
  22. Saw on LPA! Awesome rip! It's the best it's ever sounded
  23. Nice! I would really love to go to this, I feel bad I missed them last time. When/where do the tickets go on sale LPL? anyone know? Thanks
