  1. ah opinions, opinions xD I think each track deserves to win for many reasons: My December - one of the most unquie tracks LP had put out in the HT Era, not withstanding that its their own Xmas song. Points goes to Chesters vocal performance & Phi's Cello. Across the line - terrific b-side, great lyrics, slightly overated on LPL but regardless its a unquie song that catches your attention compared to many MTM tracks. No roads left - you'd be a fool to deny Mike's vocal supremacy on this track. His singing is very impressive and the strings too make this b-side incredibly epic. however, without those factors I doubt NRL would be as revered in the LP comunitiy as it is. QWERTY - a huge fan favourite, one of the rawest & heaviest tracks LP have made. However this studio version lacks the power of the live version. I'm sure many people wont vote for it for that reason.
  2. Across the line damn its getting tight now!
  3. Yes "Rage against the X-Factor" :lol that was such a triumph in so many ways. I wish I was aware of when that happened though, I totally hate X-factor and i still feel I missed the opertunity to contribute in that campaign. RATM for the win!
  4. London first night, 2008. just because i went to it xD No, seriously, it deserves to be up there for APFMH alone.
  5. argh all the songs left are epic! i guess my vote will go to "new divide" then.
  6. ditto! haha the lyrics are so bizzare but chesters chipmunk voice just tops it
  7. wow I thought everyone was disapointed by Blackbirds when it first came out. Now the majority seem to love it. Whats the sudden change??? seriously? answers people! but yeh, my vote goes to BB as gorgeous as it is.
  8. yeah, I was gonna say whether you like the interludes or not, The Requiem has to be there. Its a perfect intro to the album, & starting straight into BITS would be very weak.
  9. C'mon guys, What we dont know needs to go! (excuse the pun!) I like it and all, but its certainly no "dedicated" or "qwerty". Plus everyone is reluctant to let it go as its so "fresh". So, my vote goes to WEDK!
  10. Blackout kicked ass live. I didn't expect to see chester & brad to bring out the drums again on this one, nor Phoniex on the midi triggers too! One of the most insane songs live next to WTCFM! BITS was good too, but i do reckon it could be better as it goes on. Awesome to see Brad & Mike on guitars again for the whole song!
  11. what we dont know! Though i have a feeling SC will go before it.
  12. Yes, bring back the live strings & Heavy riffs. Basically next album should be: ATS + Strings + guitars = best LP album then everyone will be happy xD
  13. it makes me laugh when everyone says "the lyrics in Robot boy are sooo repetative!!!" buts its the MELODY thats repetative, not the lyrics! very underated song for that reason alone
  14. Fine, Pretend to Be! she couldn't needs to survive a little longer!
  15. what the hell? why is HT suddenly getting more votes than MTM? Strange that... anyway, mines' Meteora. Great album, but flawed, especially compared to the other 3.
  16. ...hence why they cut it out of later demos & the final version Anyways, "the untitled" is easily the best, and also one my favourite demos, specifically due to Mike's lyrics. I really wish Mike had stuck with these for the final version. Also, Figure.09 is another favourite. I dare say, if the song had lyrics in the verses, it would destroy the final version. The bridge is epic!
  17. What We don't know. a 'meh' song for me
  18. haha YES! if there was an intensive for me to go DL again next year this is it. SOAD headling was a wicked surprise, and now LP aswell is the icing on the Cake! If my mates still are sold on going DL instead of Sonisphere now, I'll cry
  19. They shoud bring back the studio version of MD. that'll be epic. & bring back Vday around Feburary. its only appropriate.
  20. I'd still love to get the finalised demos of LOATR & TLTGYA with Mike on lead vocals. I know that we got them somewhat on LPU9, but they where really early versions of those songs. I want the ones we heard in the making of MTM & LPUTV that are basically the finished song but with mike singing. Oh, and the My December Team sleep remix of course!
  21. Nice one! I shall check this out! Should be very usefull to alot of people on my course aswell! Cheers!
  22. I'd just give them the HTEP as flawless as it is! But anyways, heres a good list exhibiting the best of LP in my opinion... 1 - And One 2 - A Place for My Head 3 - Easier to Run 4 - In Pieces 5 - Waiting for the End 6 - When They come for me
  23. Thanks for the reply. Interesting stuff , I really had no idea that Reading My eyes & many of the Xero tracks would have been effected though. Crazy stuff. But I guess I could take a chance. After all, its only an short amateur film I'm making anyway. That'll only be on youtube, and the worst thing they could do is block it. Just I'm still unsure if it would be better or worse to use another band. But i guess that would apply on their record label/deal wouldnt it?
  24. ***Mods, If this is in the wrong forum please move where appropriate *** Anyways, guys I'm making a short film in my film & broadcasting course at University and I was thinking of using Linkin Parks' music in the films soundtrack (Basically, the protagonist is listenening to a walkman and the xero demo tape can be heard in the background) My Tutor is very spesific with use of music within films, so unless it is free to use, she'll require written permission etc... So anyway, What I want to know is if I use 30 seconds of "reading my eyes" in the film, Will I be breaching copyright? Also, I'd like to know the boadaries of what tracks I can use or not. I looked throught the "rules" in the download request forum which said The Xero Demo's and the HT demos are free to upload/share across the internet, but does that also mean they are free from all the legal babble to use in media? and LASTLY, Would this also apply to other bands aswell, for example: Tool's 1990 demo tape "toolshed"? Thanks. I Hope someone has some answers!
