jFar
Where can I find the clean version of The Hunting Party? I've seen it referenced in a few places between different Linkin Park communities, but I can't seem to find a link to somewhere that has it for sale, and I'm 99% sure it wasn't released physically Edit: One More Light Live, as well Edit 2: While I'm here, Post Traumatic's clean version wasn't released physically either, correct? This I can find online, but I'm curious Edited August 4, 2018 by jFar920 Quote Link to comment https://lplive.net/forums/topic/7379-quick-question-ask-here/page/83/#findComment-287845 Share on other sites

blueguitar
Hello everyone, I'm hoping I'm writing in the correct thread lol I need some help. I'm writing a speech for my communications class amd I'm doing it on LP. I have some of the research but I'm having trouble answering two questions. I'm hoping someone can help me out here. Here are the questions: 1. What is the historical context? Or what their impact on music was, all that good stuff. 2. Why is this significant to the public? Any articles would be incredibly helpful. Many thanks in advance! Quote Link to comment https://lplive.net/forums/topic/7379-quick-question-ask-here/page/83/#findComment-288874 Share on other sites

Garret
I have recently read that linkin park made the minutes 2 midnight album in 2 separate studios. one is owned by the band KoRn and the other was the rick rubin mansion. but the band did not record at the rick rubin mansion until after the japan tour in 2006. so this means they went to the mansion from mid august 2006 until sometime in 2007. long time. but my question is we have a lot of demos from LPU. does anyone know which ones were made at koRns studio and what ones were made at mansion???? i bet heavier ones were from koRns studio Quote Link to comment https://lplive.net/forums/topic/7379-quick-question-ask-here/page/83/#findComment-289111 Share on other sites

Twiilite
Hey guys, quick question. I posted this on LPA too but I haven't received a definitive answer. I'm in the process of writing a biography of sorts on the band, and I've read conflicting reports on the founding of Xero. We've all assumed it was Mike, Brad, and Rob who started Xero and then recruited Mark Wakefield right? But I've done some digging around and it seems Mike has recently alluded to it being him, Brad and Mark who then recruited Rob. Does anyone have any concrete information on this? The band was founded by Mike and Mark. Brad came in later to add guitars to a few songs. Twiilite
The Linkinpedia page was my primary source. It just never really spelled out when Xero was officially formed and who was involved which was all I was looking for. Almost every other source on the band's origins say it was Mike, Brad, and Rob with Mark being recruited later, hence my confusion. Thanks for the help though! The page clearly states it was Mike and Mark in the winter of 1996. You can check our sources if you want. All of them are under "References". You can click on the numbers after each sentence to see where the information came from. We've read interviews from 2000 to 2018 and interviewed a lot of people associated with the band at the time to write those pages. I've never heard about Mark being recruited later. On some early interviews (2000-2001) they did avoid talking about Mark though. On some early interviews (2000-2001) they did avoid talking about Mark though. You're right, for some reason I had read it wrong or missed that part. An example I found was on LPA's "The Band" bio which says Xero was founded by Mike and Brad. The first mention of Mark comes long after the other band members were recruited and mentions him as nothing more than a "high-school acquaintance" which implied to me that he was added at the last minute because they needed a vocalist. There are several other sources on the web I have found that implied the same narrative. Obviously none of these were nearly as well researched as the Linkinpedia article, but it was conflicting nonetheless. My only remaining question is whether the demo tape Mike and Mark sent to the A&R rep was the Xero EP as we know it or a work-in-progress version of it? I assume there isn't an official confirmation either way. Matthague
Hi, hope you dont mind me asking a seemingly daft question.... After watching a few videos, there are a few songs that have been done live that roll into another in places in a mash up style. Is there a list anywhere that A) says what they are and has them to Download? Garret
Question for any die-hard ATS fans out there... Out of the 15 tracks that made the album, does anyone know which one was conceived the earliest? I keep thinking that Robot Boy was from early to mid 2009, but I could be wrong. We know for example, Valentine's Day was the earliest song on MTM, and Mark The Graves was the earliest song on THP. It's interesting to me. Judging by LPTV and stuff, it seems like a lot of the songs were primarily created and worked on throughout 2010, since the album didn't come out until the last quarter of 2010. It could even be a case in which nothing from 2009 made the album. A lot of the 2009 demos and 2008 demos have a heavier sound, and New Divide was pretty heavy compared to the album, too, and the band put that out in mid 2009 and toured until September for it. I want to say that Robot Boy was mentioned on Mike's blog in 2009 in some way, but as far as I know the blog isn't available anymore. The ATS demos started changing from the heavier demos to closer to what the album would sound like around October of 2009, so Robot Boy probably came from around that time if I'm remembering correctly.
