  1. I'm figuring 4 to 5 visits for mine and about $2000 before it's all said and done, so I feel your pain. Literally!
  2. Love the STP ink! Planning a major addition to my tattoo collection at some point (2 right now) which will cover my left leg from knee to ankle in a family tree. I'll be sprinkling in a few personal references such as an LP logo or symbol as well as some other things...
  3. I'm thinking more of an in-house solution before going to something like that. What happens when shoutcast goes offline? A stream with a flash interface similar to the LMA on archive.org is what I have in mind.
  4. Done. I'm making this one happen. As far as the LPL Radio thing, this is something that I've discussed with Mark. Fairly easy to set up in theory, but there could be some issues with it as it would take a fair amount of space for hosting as well as bandwidth to keep it working.
  5. +1 on the tour thing, but it'll never happen. Too long ago at this point... It would be like us still expecting LP to play Reanimation from beginning to end with all of the collaborators live.
  6. And there's the challenge with trading. Now all you have to do is find someone willing to trade something that person would want for something you've got.
  7. Just one of many who won't circulate a show for no good reason. Though I can think of at least one reason he may not want to for that show - probably the eleventy billion emails and messages he got from a certain former staff member here begging for the show.
  8. Tapers have been known to send us samples of their recordings for inclusion on the site. Likely the case with this one but I'm not sure. Being a taper myself, I can honestly say that some of us are weird. From experience, there are some who refuse to circulate their recordings out of greed or just being able to say that they have something that no one else has. There are others who have to balance what they release or trade in order to keep something of 'value' to trade for future recordings. In a perfect world, we'd upload everything we could get our hands on but that might limit what would become available in the future. If that makes any sense...
  9. Lies! They do everything live. Heretic! Blasphemer! Witch! Burn the witch!

    What Next?

Calling it now, the streak continues for you. (I really hope not though.)
  11. Trading is dead for the most part and has been for some time now. No need to link to trading sites for several reasons other than that. I'm fine with my page being linked to on the forums where the link is somewhat protected but I'd rather not have it on a separate page on the site. Just a personal preference, given the fact that there's no single answer to the legality of the trading of unauthorized recordings. As for links to official sites and other fansites, I'm all for it. Especially bazinga!. Sweet, wet kisses to them from me.
  12. How many times have you posted about Scandanavian shows or the lack thereof and you're asking me to let it go? Get over yourself.
  13. No worries. Alex likes to cry about the lack of Swedish shows or the fact that they get cancelled. It's to the point that it can be expected just like the yearly rumors of Brazilian shows.
  14. Why do I need flac when mp3 sounds just fine to me? </famous last words> Let's put it this way: If I put on headphones and listen to my audience recording from Camden 08, it's a direct recording of the full show experience. You can hear the little kid and his mom to my left talking at several points during the show (his commentary about not liking PMA just as it starts still makes me laugh). You can hear the imperfections during the show (static at the beginning of the show during the intro, Chester's wrecked note during SOTD) which were fixed in the DSP release. You can also hear just how loud the crowd was while singing on the bridge of ITE... Don't get me wrong, it's not that I don't like the DSPs. I just appreciate how hard it is to produce a good audience sourced recording being a taper myself. Remember - up until PR07, there were more audience sources available than there were SBD sources.
  15. I prefer audience sourced recordings. In fact, none of the audio I've referenced are soundboard recordings, even if there happens to be a SBD or DSP from the show.
  16. I still blame 10/25/03 for this whole mess...
  17. Not counting DSPs or official releases such as LIT and trying to keep the list as short as possible, my votes go to: 2000 - Hollywood audio, Mason Jar video 2001 - Osaka audio, Rock am Ring or Palladium video 2002 - Not much choice here, so I'll pass 2003 - Tokyo (10/25) audio, MTV 2$ Bill show video 2004 - Mountain View audio, Rock am Ring video 2005 - Not much choice here, so I'll pass 2006 - Not much choice here, so I'll pass 2007 - Berlin audio, Wantagh video 2008 - Camden audio, Charlotte or Wantagh video 2009 - Graz audio, Stuttgart video 2010 - None yet!
  18. Might be more appropriate to call it 'Show Roll Call'? Just a thought. RC is a common term tapers use...
  19. Money is money.
  20. Urgent? I've got a different screen resolution both here at work and at home and find the site and forums easy to use as they are. Unless you happen to be using an IMAX screen to browse the internet.
  21. Most of us who trade understand your frustration in trying to get some of this stuff. In time, these things will circulate. If not, shame on the taper(s) for not doing so.
  22. A source is bound to circulate at some point... Sometimes it takes years for a show to get out.
