Grey Daze & Julien-K Team-Up For Chester Tribute Show
lpliveusername replied to lpliveusername's topic in Newswire
Songs being played: Let Down Morning After The Down Syndrome Source: https://www.facebook.com/realgreydaze/posts/1989276077970764 -
Dead By Sunrise has released its first statement since vocalist Chester Bennington's death. Part of it says: "We will continue to use this page and all Dead By Sunrise social sites to continue to honor Chester and the work we did together, we will keep you guys updated on what were doing and stay close, we will always look for ways to share unreleased music and more when we feel its right." You can read the full statement on their Facebook page. Before its release in 2009, Dead By Sunrise's sole studio album Out Of Ashes had been a long time in the making. Throughout the process, we've seen teasers with titles that ended up not making the album: Hard Life, Introutro, Instrumental, Wall Of Sound, Split Personality, Evil Twin and even a rendition of Misfits' 20 Eyes. Since then, Chester had been dedicating himself to Linkin Park and other projects, discontinuing Dead By Sunrise. Now, after so many years, it looks like some of those songs might finally be seeing the light of day. We would like to take this opportunity to talk about other things Chester worked on which are potentially coming out in the future: Back in 2012, Linkin Park collaborated with DJ Fresh on a song for an album which still hasn't been released; Mike Baczor's (Her0) debut album will supposedly feature a track with Mike and Chester; Back in April, Chester recorded a song featuring screams for Mark Morton's solo album; Mike and Chester had just been in the studio with Watsky; Julien-K's Time Capsule, coming out in October, will include 2 live tracks featuring Chester; Grey Daze had been working on a remaster of their 1997 album ...No Sun Today which was due to later this year; Linkin Park still haven't officially released their lyric video and live video of Talking To Myself; Just before Chester's passing, he also took part in a Carpool Karaoke shooting with Ken Jeong. The episode has since been postponed with James Corden saying whether or not the episode will be aired is up to Chester's family. Let's not forget Linkin Park Underground's annual compilation of demos and outtakes which has provided fans with so many amazing vocal performances by Chester over the years, such as Across The Line, What We Don't Know, Slip, Primo and TooLeGit; and we do know they still have quite a few left in their vault. From demos of songs that made the albums (Figure.09 with singing verses, Powerless longform demo, Blackout freestyle) and Chester's vocal takes of songs sung by Mike (No Roads Left, In Between, Invisible) to unfinished demos (Fire In The City, Chicken Basket, the "thoughts that take away my pride" demo) and songs that didn't make the albums (Pictureboard, One More Light outtakes), the possibilities of what could be included in the next LPU album are endless. Maybe even tracks from Chester's audition tape or unreleased Reanimation remixes. Whatever the band choose, we're sure it will be something really special to honor Chester. EDIT: Chester has been featured in an episode of Shahs Of Sunset titled "The Art of Deflection" that aired on September 10. The footage was filmed in late 2016.

WHY is there a live show event page for Chester's funeral?
lpliveusername replied to thesungoesdown's topic in Live Talk
There's literally a separate section in the page for that: http://lplive.net/wiki/db/exclusives/chester-bennington-memorial-2 -
From Grey Daze's Instagram: Not only did he have a huge impact on our lives through his music & personality, but he is now more present than ever & his influence will be felt for the rest of our lives. If you've been a fan of Linkin Park, Grey Daze or Dead By Sunrise, join us on September 2nd at Saxe Theater from Las Vegas, where Sean Dowdell & Mace Beyers of Grey Daze, Ryan Shuck & Amir Derakh from Dead By Sunrise/ Julien-K will bring a tribute to Chester Bennington. Visit the event page for more information: https://www.facebook.com/events/115580822420458

They could play songs in a different tuning or different arrangement. Also, Mike isn't the only member in the band. One of the other guys could help him with vocals. Of course none of them are as good as Chester, but we know they all can sing. Not sure how accurate this is, but Brad once said Joe has a pretty good singing voice. If they needed someone to replace any of them as instrumentalist while they sing, they have Warren (DJ and drummer) and Benjamin (guitarist) who always rehearse with them and know all their songs.

Wrong link.

Well, it's Mike and Joe. "Kenji & Artofficial of Xero" (as listed on the tracklist) to be exact, so it isn't even a collaboration with an outside artist. Closing is pretty much Mike and Joe's work too. It even starts with "Kenji and DJ Artofficial representing Xero." And most of the tracks on the Xero tape were done by Mark and Mike. The collaborations with other artists credited to Linkin Park were pretty much done with Mike and Chester only (Darker Than Blood, Things In My Jeep) with the exception being We Made It, which had a contribution by Brad. It's Goin' Down also features two Linkin Park members and was played at Linkin Park shows. So I don't really see a problem with songs featuring at least two members being labeled "Linkin Park songs." That's what we use to define something as a Linkin Park show in the live guide too.

I guess you're right. I didn't notice there were "digital singles" for the other "street tracks" from One More Light.
-
Added One More Light (+ singles), Chair, Ambitions by One Ok Rock, Not Giving Up by Sun Never Sets, Like Riding A Bike by Hot Karl, Restoring Force by Of Mice & Men, Get A Dog (Fort Minor Remix), Popstar Never Stop Never Stopping, and the Rapology albums. Anything missing? Anybody knows the exact day Invisible was released as a digital single? Napster says "May 2017". Spotify simply says "2017". On July 14th, Martinez said in the shoutbox "According to rumors, today WB started sending some TTM promo CDs to DJ's, brands etc." so I added that date to the list. Anybody knows when Good Goodbye started getting airplay in Europe?
