  1. According to festivalisten, Linkin Park could be announced as headliners of Hurricane and Southside 2017 tomorrow. The festivals take place between June 23rd and June 25th, 2017. Hurricane is in Scheeßel, Germany and Southside is in Tuttlingen, Germany. This would be the band's first appearance at these festivals. In the festival teaser video from Hurricane, two guys are walking in the park...roughly translated as: "Dude, it looks really great out here" followed by the other guy saying "The special thing about this park is that it links the two districts." (hinting at a Linkin Park joke) A similar tease was just done for Green Day by the festivals. This should be the first confirmation of the band's upcoming world tour in 2017. These promoters also book bands for NorthSide in Aarhus, Denmark and Bravalla in Norrkoping, Sweden, so those festivals are a possibility as well. Stay tuned for more news tomorrow! EDIT: Confirmed by Southside and the band! Linkin Park will be headlining Hurricane and Southside 2017!
  2. Following the initial announcement that Chester will join Kings of Chaos in Las Vegas for three nights, the band has added four shows on the east coast. This mini-tour will now consist of seven total shows between Las Vegas and the northeast. The new dates are as follows: 2016.12.01 Las Vegas, NV, House of Blues 2016.12.02 Las Vegas, NV, House of Blues 2016.12.03 Las Vegas, NV, House of Blues 2016.12.17 Montclair, NJ, Wellmont Theater 2016.12.18 Huntington, NY, The Paramount 2016.12.20 Boston, MA, House of Blues 2016.12.21 New York City, NY, Irving Plaza 2016.12.22 Verona, NY, Turning Stone Resort & Casino *JUST ADDED* The posts from the band indicate that Chester will performing some or all of these songs: "She Sells Sanctuary" and "Firewoman" by The Cult, "Rebel Yell" by Billy Idol and "Vasoline", "Sex Type Thing" and "Interstate Love Song" by Stone Temple Pilots. On the 16th and 17th, Royal Machines was hosting their "Royal Machines & Friends Christmas Shows" at The Roxy, where Chester was rumored to join them. However with the addition of these shows, it can be safe to assume that he will not be at those performances. All of Chester's guesting appearances, both past and present, can be found here.
  3. WTCFM to me is the best live song from ATS and I wish they'd bring it back. It was on fire during HCT and came off better on the amphitheatre stage than in arenas. The worst song played live by Linkin Park is Hit the Floor. WTCFM is fantastic to me.
  4. Mike just went live on Facebook for fans, and you can view the video on his page when it's uploaded here. A few updates: - Phoenix apologized to Mike for hinting at a specific month that the album would be out. As of right now, they do not have a definite date. - The band is going to do a bigger video update soon with more band members present and give more information on the album because they are at the point where they can provide more info to the fans. - Mike intends on making new Fort Minor music. There are several hip hop oriented tracks in consideration for the new Linkin Park album, but Mike said he has some ideas/seeds already for new FM songs in the future. Right now, he's been focused on making the LP album first. - Mike will perform more Fort Minor shows during the upcoming Linkin Park tours. He is able to do 1-2 more shows per week than the rest of the band, so he will use that time to play as Fort Minor. The band sounds like they are getting near the end of the recording process, so the album news cycle should begin in the next few months.
  5. As we reported earlier this month, on October 2nd, Rock to Recovery held their annual benefit concert at the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles, CA. Chester was able to come out for the show for his fifth guest appearance of the year. Rock to Recovery is a fundraising organization started by Wesley Geer in 2012. Wesley as many of you might know was the touring guitarist for Korn when Head stepped away from the band but he was also in Hed PE well before that. Wesley actually stepped away from Hed PE over a decade ago because of the crazy lifestyle (drugs and alcohol). In relation to this site, Hed PE toured with Linkin Park on back-to-back tours when they both were opening P.O.D's 'Kings Of The Game' Tour in November 2000 and again on Papa Roach's 'Master Bay' Tour in December 2000 before they both played several 2001 festivals together. This benefit show was the first concert event associated with the fundraiser. Referred to as The 1st Annual Rock To Recovery Benefit Concert, the gig was dedicated to Social Distortion's Mike Ness. Mike became addicted to heroin in 1985 when Social D was gaining traction, so he entered rehab in 1985 and has been sober ever since. To celebrate, Rock to Recovery presented him with the first "Rock to Recovery Award" at the event. Rock To Recovery's official website says: "Rock to Recovery was created to help soothe the restless souls of those in recovery. We do this by creating a “band” and writing and recording songs together with Rock to Recovery’s staff of professional musicians, who are also in recovery. We help bring fun into treatment and recovery by offering a natural escape from the fear-based mind. This helps people grow a sense of belonging and self esteem. We help to vent emotions by writing lyrics and singing together for release, in real-time. We tie in a positive theme of hope in recovery throughout the whole process. When the session is done, our “band” members feel a new energy all throughout their minds and spirits". There is simply nothing like Rock to Recovery in the industry and the help it provides to musicians is vital. As hectic and wild as the world of touring is, Rock to Recovery shows that it IS possible to get help, find a way to recovery, and beat addiction. The program helps with a wide variety of issues, from addiction to PTSD, depression, and more. The main act for the show was Filter with "All Star Jam" band and the "Rock To Recovery" band playing before them. The band's lineup included Billy Morrison (The Cult, Camp Freddy), Steve Stevens (Billy Idol), Chris Chaney (Jane's Addiction) and Erik Eldenius (Billy Idol). The "Rock To Recovery" band included Wesley Geer, David Silveria (Korn), Zachary Baird, Sonny Mayo, Nate Low, Brandon Jordan, Brandon Parkhurst, Matthew Bartosch and Clinton Calton. Chester joined in for the last two songs of the show, covers of the familiar Vasoline by Stone Temple Pilots and another one he has guested on frequently throughout the years - Whole Lotta Love by Led Zeppelin. Before his performance, you can see him even rocking out side stage to Killing in the Name, sung by Fred Durst. Setlist: 01. Baba O'Riley (The Who cover; w/ Franky Perez) 02. War Pigs (Black Sabbath cover; w/ Franky Perez) 03. Panama (Van Halen cover; w/ Franky Perez) 04. Wonderwall (Oasis cover; w/ Billy Morrison) 05. Rebell Yell (Billy Idol cover; w/ Billy Morrison) 06. Sober (Tool cover; w/ Franky Perez) 07. Enter Sandman (Metallica cover; w/ Franky Perez) 08. Pretty Vacant (Sex Pistols cover; w/ Mark McGrath) 09. Fly (Sugar Ray cover; w/ Mark McGrath) 10. You Really Got Me (The Kinks cover; w/ Fred Durst) 11. Killing In The Name (Rage Against The Machine cover; w/ Fred Durst) 12. Vasoline (Stone Temple Pilots cover; w/ Chester Bennington) 13. Whole Lotta Love (Led Zeppelin cover; w/ Chester Bennington) We like to mention that we are always thankful for modern technology and we'll say that again as you can watch the FULL show shot front row below. Included before the performance is a full rundown of the event, its history, and red carpet interviews...a nice behind the scenes look at Rock to Recovery and what it's about. We'd like to thank Wesley for all the work he has done and we wish the best for Rock to Recovery!
  6. They confirmed they aren't touring Europe in June.
  7. Lost in the Echo All for Nothing What I've Done Papercut Don't Stay When They Come For Me Tinfoil Powerless Numb I'll Be Gone Breaking the Habit Leave Out All the Rest Pushing Me Away Somewhere I Belong From the Inside In the End Bleed It Out Faint ---------- No More Sorrow Rebellion A Line in the Sand
  8. China really allowed them to flex out their production, and the video screens behind the band were epic. I personally loved the artwork for PR04 even though the stage design was about the same as the 2003/2004 other tours. The 360 stage in 2008 was interesting and had the screens above the stage...I wouldn't mind if they returned to something like that. I think for once it'd be cool to switch up how they have it set up. They put Joe on the left, Rob on the right, Mike in the middle. What about Rob in the middle raised up, and Mike and Joe sort of angled off on the sides?
  9. I actually agree, I don't think that's fake.
  10. Metallica is not in consideration for that slot. https://metallica.com/blog/news/433803/worldwired-tour-travels-to-copenhagen "We will be opening the doors of the Royal Arena for the first time on February 3 and 5, 2017 and as of this time these shows are our only scheduled European appearances of ’17, until the Fall at the earliest." So they won't be in Europe playing festivals in 2017. In 2018, I'm sure they'll do it.
  11. What do you think the band should do for the next touring cycle? Some good ideas to change the show up, etc. I'll start. 1. Stop closing with Bleed It Out. It's run its course from 2007-now closing most shows. 2. Keep playing A Line In The Sand. With GATS likely to not return, ALITS is a good song to keep from THP. It didn't get played a lot on the last world tour, being debuted late in the cycle. 3. Play the full version of Lost In The Echo. Pretty solid live song. 4. Bring back When They Come For Me. It was A+ on Honda Civic Tour, I never understood why it never came back after that....except for Las Vegas 2014. Nice one-off performance. 5. Bring back No More Sorrow. Give Chester a break from Given Up and play a fan favorite....NMS. 6. Drop Ballad Medley, New Divide, Crawling, both Mike/Joe Solo. Some songs Chester sounds great on...some not so much. Nothing wrong with dropping New Divide and Crawling when you have so many other singles to play. Ballad Medley has run its course. Play a full song there, even LOATR or PMA studio or something.
  12. He's saying 200,000+ from 2014-2015 seeing LP in Germany.
  13. Yeah I saw the GNR rumors for Download. I bet they play Download too - I don't think they'd just do a normal Euro festival run if they can make more money from headlining their own stadiums and selling those out. The reason I say this is that a promoter has indicated they are playing the stadium in Munich, meaning it's likely a stadium tour but as you said they could do a few festivals. That's why I think LP is the last band for RIP/RAR. LP opened for System at KROQ AAC, but that was in the USA where LP is not as popular. LP is just as big as System in Europe; LP is a bigger band overseas than at home.
  14. It's mid-October, which means confirmations for next summer's European festivals are slowly happening. A recent interview with Phoenix indicated that Linkin Park plans to be touring for the new album around March or April, which is earlier in the year than the past three studio albums (A Thousand Suns, Living Things, and The Hunting Party). This means a significant portion of the touring cycle has been booked at this point and the band's name is being thrown around in rumors for Euro festivals. Rock am Ring and Rock im Park have already announced their 2017 dates and initial lineup. The festivals are set for June 2nd to June 4th. The first edition of the lineup includes headliners Die Toten Hosen and System of a Down, but the third headliner is missing and will be announced at a later time. Linkin Park's last appearance at the festivals was in 2014, the last year that Nürburgring hosted Rock am Ring. The third headliner at this point is rumored to be between Linkin Park and Guns N' Roses, but we have learned GNR is likely going with a European stadium tour around that time, like Coldplay and Depeche Mode. Linkin Park is also rumored to headline Hellfest in France, which also takes place in June 2017, along with Aerosmith and Prophets of Rage. We should start seeing confirmations on the band's expected appearances next year sometime soon, as the album news cycle should be kicking off in the next 8-10 weeks while Linkin Park puts the finishing touches on their new album.
  15. Did he seriously say Part of Me was on the Xero 4 track demo?
  16. http://linkinpedia.com/index.php?title=Xero_(Demo_Cassette_Tape)Huge update to Xero page, I usually don't post updates but this one was pretty big.
  17. More will show up when the band gets the album cycle going, as usual.
  18. Was just about to post the System of a Down festivals. I think they can still play Rock am Ring / Rock im Park too.
  19. Skittle021 never ripped it. He remastered Nick's rip, twice. There are only three rips - IDX, LPFuse, Nick. +Skittle021 remastered Nick's twice. I remember at some point after 2011, someone else TRIED to rip it but it came out crap - I do not remember who that was. Updated: http://linkinpedia.com/index.php?title=Xero_(Demo_Cassette_Tape)#Cassette_Tape_Rips Who in the community has current copies of the tape? I assume LPCatalog has one? JomJom from LPItaly has one still right? Nick sold his to someone I believe.
