https://metallica.com/blog/news/433803/worldwired-tour-travels-to-copenhagen "and as of this time these shows are our only scheduled European appearances of ’17, until the Fall at the earliest." No Metallica until fall. It looks like their logo yeah. But they are doing a big 3 month USA summer tour here.

Linkin Park to headline VOLT Festival in Hungary
hahninator replied to hahninator's topic in Newswire
18 days means 7-8 shows so far -
Linkin Park has just confirmed that they will be playing their first show ever in Hungary! They will headline Telekom VOLT Festival in Sopron, Hungary on June 27th, 2017. This is the first confirmed DATE of 2017, meaning the first actual date announced instead of just a "we will play X festival between these 2-3 days". LP fans have been petitioning the band to play Hungary for years and this is a welcome addition! Tickets are on sale November 17th and a one day pass is 59 euros to see LP.

They played an ATS set at Download 2011 and Rock Werchter 2011.

Bump. New touring cycle starting soon. Linkin Park shows: 976 This includes the 2017 shows, plus China 2016. I deleted 2 shows from the site today, the 2 rehearsals with no fans (2011, 2012). So 974. Includes zero canceled shows, includes the 2017 dates already announced on the site (5). 969 played. Count starts at June 9, 2000 (first confirmed LP date). Here's a list of what we should NOT count: http://lplive.net/shows/db/2001/20010126-1 I don't think we should count separate performances on the same day. If we count Endsession/Seattle 2001 as two shows then we have to count Jimmy Kimmel Live and iHeartRadio Theater 2x in 2014 and also Madrid EMA 2010 + rehearsal 2x. That makes no sense, if they played the same day for a rehearsal or soundcheck party or something, just count it once. That means we can remove Sunrise 2011 preshow rehearsal etc from the count. http://lplive.net/shows/db/2010/20101019 We can't 100% confirm fans were there. We will unfortunately have to remove that from the list. http://lplive.net/shows/db/2011/20110909 Chester sang over pre recorded instrumental. That's no show. http://lplive.net/shows/db/2013/20130628 Chester Phoenix acoustic. That's no show. http://lplive.net/shows/db/2014/20140321 Chester Mike piano. That's no show. http://lplive.net/shows/db/2016/20160630 Chester Joe solo. That's no show. Once we figure out what we don't count, then we can work on the final number.
-
The argument against that is Joe is a member of the band too and 90% of his job is to just push buttons, lol. So I'm not sure what a solution could be. "Partial Band Performances"? Idk.
-
It isn't. I agree with you. This all started because we have had several performances where 2+ members of LP are performing alone. http://lplive.net/shows/db/2013/20130628 http://lplive.net/shows/db/2014/20140321 http://lplive.net/shows/db/2016/20160630 We never really figured out what to do with those, whether to make a new page or not, since they actually are LP members playing LP songs, but not the whole band. The guesting page http://lplive.net/shows/guesting comes from 2+ members of the band guesting with another artist/band playing LP songs and/or other bands songs, or collaboration songs. I am always open to discussing the best way to do things like this. Until 2013, we never had a problem with this. There are also a few show pages where fans were not in attendance for rehearsals, but we have setlists. Lestat wanted to do a rehearsals page, but I think we decided against it years ago because we never had much info on rehearsals. Like, we know they rehearsed at Live 8 2005, but we don't have a setlist. We do know they rehearsed for most of these TV show performances...we have a list somewhere in our staff files of known rehearsal performances without fans in attendance. I feel like these could be mistaken for actual shows: http://lplive.net/shows/db/2011/20110602 http://lplive.net/shows/db/2012/20120504

I totally forgot the 1,000th show will likely happen in 2017. We need to celebrate this big time. Maybe we should even go.

Hi everyone, Over the last few months, we have been working on some upgrades to the current version of LPLive. The ideas for some of these were born years ago and others were born very recently, but the band's time in the studio this year has allowed us to work on upgrading some of the information-based parts of the website. Here's what we are adding to the site: 1. Statistics page. We decided it was finally time to bring in our first statistics page! Included on this page: Touring stats (most played countries, states, and cities, unplayed US states, most played venues), song statistics on albums and a list of top 25 songs which is MORE accurate than setlist.fm. Gallery stats and database stats (recently updated, recently added, most viewed), and more. 2. Show page statistics (seen here). A new section on show pages will be "show stats", which includes the number of show in the year, entire touring cycle (since current tour is in the top right of the page already), city, and state. This changes slightly for international shows. Show stats will be below the Other Notes and above the Sources on the page. Currently, these are implemented in the Hybrid Theory touring cycle and part of The Hunting Party touring cycle and will be completed soon for the rest of the years. 3. Clickable song titles in setlists (seen here). We debated for a while whether we want songs in the setlist to be redirected to a database list of every time the song has been performed, but this would be inaccurate for the two albums played the longest (Hybrid Theory and Meteora). Instead, you can click the songs in the setlists to take you to their new Linkinpedia page, which includes live information on how the song is performed along with full background information on the song. As of right now, this is working for just Linkin Park. 4. Clickable tour names on year pages (seen here). Going along with #2, you can click tour names on the year pages to take you to their new Linkinpedia pages. These pages will include a full background on the tour along with special information, passes, laminates, crew lists, and more. Since we had nowhere to store actual tour passes we were collecting, this will be the new home of those. Currently, these are mostly completed in the touring cycles for The Hunting Party, Living Things, and A Thousand Suns as we work backwards to implement this feature. 5. Collapsible sources (seen here). The show pages are getting more information than ever with Show Notes, Other Notes, Set Notes, Show Stats, the Gallery, and more. Sometimes we end up with quite a few recording sources and the show pages are quite big. Now, the sources will come collapsed and you can click to expand them. *NEW, 11/11* 6. Dropdown menus. The Linkin Park dropdown was getting too big with 2000-2017 (+ guesting) listed in one menu. We separated them to 2000-2009, and then 2010-2017. Every ten years will get their own menu for now. We hope you enjoy these new features! As we finish implementing them to all of the site, we'd like to ask...what features would you like to see added to LPLive in the future?

I mean it is possible, we can't exclude it yet. They did Leipzig, München, and Wien in a row in 2014, and then Manchester, London and London. Those are the same countries. 2012 was NovaRock, Orange Warsaw, Maxidrom.
-
They scheduled 3 USA shows in a row for the canceled 2015 tour, but they rarely ever do that. What's weird is Brooklyn was the 3rd in a row....you'd think they'd have not booked it that way. But that's much different than flying to different European countries. Very unlikely they play Download Spain. But Download UK is a possibility, sure.

I thought so too but LP confirms they are headlining. https://twitter.com/linkinpark/status/793128001646886912Nothing from Green Day yet so maybe they aren't on the final lineup. Who knows. Blink could support Green Day I guess? Lmao

As we posted on social media about a month ago, French radio DJ Zégut claimed on October 5th that Linkin Park, Aerosmith, and Prophets Of Rage will perform at Hellfest in Clisson, France. The festival is held between June 16th and 18th, dates that are open in what Linkin Park has announced so far. We held off on making a thread about the rumor because at that time, the band had not even confirmed a European Tour for June 2017 yet. However, now we know LP will be touring at that exact time. Festileaks follows up on this by saying the DJ's credibility is that he leaked Black Sabbath as a headliner for 2016's Hellfest. He is on top of French music news, including the upcoming Metallica private show in France. Interestingly, a comment on Zégut's blog on October 6th said that Linkin Park, System Of A Down, and Prophets Of Rage were all playing Download. Download Paris was recently confirmed today with this exact lineup. Lastly, Metal-Impact.com said today that Linkin Park will perform at Hellfest. In terms of rumors, this one is pretty solid. Stay tuned for an official confirmation hopefully in November.

http://festileaks.com/2016/10/linkin-park-en-blink-182-naar-download-festival-paris/ Looks like Green Day is playing this festival too? Hellfest in France is June 16-18. Linkin Park was leaked by a French radio DJ as a headliner for this festival. Hmm. http://festileaks.com/2016/10/aerosmith-linkin-park-en-prophets-rage-naar-hellfest-2017/

There are tons of things in the vault. No problem. I don't like these short 30 second to 1 minute instrumentals. Whatever, it's stuff we don't have. It isn't a big deal, they aren't required to give us stuff. I'd rather hear demos of released songs now since the stuff they are putting out now seems so short.

To celebrate Halloween, Linkin Park has released a proshot video of Papercut from Monster Mash 2015, the third to last show of The Hunting Party's world tour. This was previously an LPU exclusive that the band made public starting today. The entire band had extensive zombie makeup done before the show to celebrate Halloween. Enjoy!

So Download UK is the 9th to the 11th too? I don't think LP is big enough to headline normal Download anymore, since the festival said they'd pick another band to headline if LP didn't play HT in full. Since then, THP sold terribly and they had no big singles, so we can probably can count Download out.
