Kings of Chaos recently wrapped up their East Coast Tour of five shows in the northeastern USA. The third of the five shows was at Boston, MA's House of Blues and a recording has surfaced from the show! Mediaaddict over on Guitars101.com has posted a fantastic lossless audio recording of the show for fans to download. Thanks to Farve4 for recording and to Bob for the mastering. Download Setlist The recording is really great quality and has a special addition to the setlist - Whole Lotta Love was added to close the encore starting with this show. Thanks to our member LPMaskMan for bringing this to our attention!

Mike Shares More LP7 Details In Kerrang Interview
hahninator replied to RogueSoul's topic in Newswire
Mike did this a while ago I guess, because of no mention of South America. They've been mixing for a month, with no news or even any pics of the producer like they did with Andy Wallace in 2014. I'm not sure where they're at or what the time frame is. I hope we get an announcement or some news soon. They are always so quiet during the process. -
Why do you guys say this leak isn't the final version? What's missing, etc from it? I haven't paid enough attention to the song to know. I think he's releasing an EP this upcoming week. No chance this song is on that?

Kings of Chaos add Washington D.C. Benefit, Jan 19th
hahninator replied to hahninator's topic in Newswire
No one said it had anything to do with Trump. The press release I got actually says inaugural week event and that's what I went by, so yes I could have worded the title better. Now I can see why people could get confused with the title so I'll edit it. If you follow our social media, that is, if you haven't blocked it yet on your post-election blocking spree, you'll see I have addressed this several times days before your comment here. If I gave a fuck about headlines I wouldn't put "Linkin Park adds Hungary" or whatever the hell I type - stupid headlines. It's similar to the event this summer where Chester guested at a show just after the RNC but it wasn't affiliated with it, it was a benefit show. This is also a benefit for the military. -
From Politico: "KINGS OF CHAOS are headlining A Rock and Roll Salute to the Armed Services Heroes Ball IV at the Warner Theater (Washington D.C.) Jan. 19. Texas Rep. Jeb Hensarling and South Dakota Sen. John Thune are serving as honorary hosts for the concert. Proceeds for the event go to Folded Flag Foundation, Guardians for Heroes and Paralyzed Veterans of America. Organizers are providing 500 tickets to wounded warriors, Gold Star families, active duty and local vets." This goes right along with recent interviews with Kings of Chaos, who say they plan to continue performing into 2017. It is unknown how long Chester will continue to be a member of this band, but it can be assumed he'll do their performances up until the Linkin Park touring cycle begins. Today, Matt Sorum from Kings of Chaos posted a message to their Facebook page saying in part (full message in the link), "KOC is your home away from home now....I believe 2017 will be glorious for us all...thank you to all the fans that showed up on some cold East Coast nights and supporting this new formation of a band . It means so much to us....and Chester your youthful presence bring a fresh take on so many classic iconic songs." 1/16 Update: The event has been canceled. According to iHeartRadio, a source with the band said, "Some guys in Kings of Chaos didn't want their name associated with Trump." The event will still take place, with Bret Michaels and Jack Blades in Kings Of Chaos's place. This is odd since Royal Machines played the night of the RNC in Cleveland, but for a military benefit, which is what this event is for as well.

Linkin Park to headline Hurricane/Southside 2017
hahninator replied to hahninator's topic in Newswire
Hurricane 23 Green Day 24 Blink 182 25 Southside 23 24 Green Day 25 Blink 182 I don't know what the exact structure is for the lineup at these festivals. Will LP headline over Blink 182? Or will they headline their own day? LP could play Southside on 23rd, Hurricane on 25th, but it seems most likely they headline on the 24th at Hurricane and at Southside on the 25th, with Blink 182 as direct support. -
Really great to see you back around! Hope you're doing well. That sounds right timing-wise, but starting the world tour in May with an album in March seems weird to me. But they haven't announced anything before then (yet). Maybe they can play some promo shows, like an album release show and some club shows (even international ones, London, Berlin, Tokyo) to promote the release. Or TV shows. I don't think they've ever released an album then started touring months later. They'll definitely play new songs. The Peru sellout is the fastest sellout I have ever heard of for LP. That's absolutely incredible and should be talked about for the rest of their career. With that, I think they pretty much guaranteed South America gets a tour for every cycle. I hope this album does well so the shows sell well and they can continue to play Argentina, Chile, Peru, and Brazil every album tour. They already need to go back on this upcoming tour because of how well these shows are selling. For example one Brazil show is not enough. Then they can start expanding to other countries in South America. Imagine if they did 8-10 shows on the continent. I don't think they understand how well they can do there, bands a lot smaller than them have a lot of success in South America. Papa Roach is playing Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Colombia, Ecuador.
-
That's incredible. How many tickets were sold? 40,000? 50,000? LP hasn't done something like this in forever. Too bad Peru wasn't at the end of the tour, they could have added a second show.

Big news! Joe's DJ tech Warren Willis, who works with the band both in the studio and on the road, has posted, "After 66 weeks, Linkin Park album number 7 is in the can, load out day and onto the live show..." He also posted a picture showing that they were loading out from the studio. 66 weeks is 462 days, meaning about 15 months. This takes us back to September 2015, when the band hit the studio directly after their tour in Europe. Some of the updates of the process can be read here. Mike mentioned that Linkin Park originally wanted to get new music out this year, but that they intentionally slowed down the process to create more songs. Now, they are finally done with recording and they have moved on in the process. Following Chester's interview that said Linkin Park was mixing the album earlier in December, we should be very close to getting news from the band on a single release and an album date. There usually isn't a long delay, especially in the modern era, between mixing/mastering and a release.

Yep Rise Against. "Chile - We are coming back to Santiago on May 9th, 2017 at the Movistar Arena with special guest Rise Against." Pretty cool, they were great at the two 2015 shows I saw. I think that's it for South America. One week and four shows.
-
It's been seven years and finally Linkin Park is confirmed to return to Chile in May 2017! The last show by the band in Chile was during the A Thousand Suns World Tour at the Maquinaria Festival - to date, this was their only show in the country. Linkin Park will play Santiago's Movistar Arena on May 9th, 2017 with Rise Against! Who is going? With shows in Argentina, Peru, Chile, and Brazil, this should fill out the full South American Tour for Linkin Park. This will be the most countries they have ever played in the band's career in South America on one tour.

Good find, I'll add it to the show page. Wow one of his worst for sure. Wasn't he sick a few days later at BlizzCon? -

Looks like South American warmup, album release stuff before or after it in the USA, then Europe Tour, then USA summer tour.
-
If they stay in South America for one week, it looks like there is room for one more show on the 8th or 9th. Maybe Chile. I'd be surprised if they don't do a Brazil headlining show though.
-
Big news - Linkin Park has announced they are taking a new step in South America and visiting Peru for the first time! The band will headline Lima, Peru's Estadio Nacional on May 11th, 2017! "We are thrilled to announce our very first show in the beautiful city of Lima, Peru. Come see us May 11, 2017 at the Estadio Nacional. See you soon. #LinkinParkEnPeru2017" Peru joins Brazil and Argentina in the South American Tour...with room for possibly at least one more show. This is the first headlining, non-festival show announcement of the touring cycle so far. The full list 2017 tour dates can be found here. Exciting!
-
Of course. Bruiser sounds like it was made the same week as Wretches and Kings, it sounds very similar to it. ATS era for both songs for sure. 2010. No way Burberry is 2015.
-
Lmao LP had debuted ALTNC in the last few months before Rock in Rio 2014, flew to the show, HAD part of ALTNC in the setlist, and didn't find out until they got there that Steve Aoki was on the bill. That should tell you all you need to know. No way Drawbar gets played.
-
I think by filler tracks he meant like Drawbar, Until It's Gone (for Transformers), The Summoning.
-
What sense does it make for them to go to Brazil to only play one show? 2012: 4, 2014: 2, now 2017: 1?
