  1. Wow now this is badass.
  2. From Wikipedia, "Kings of Chaos are an international band featuring a core lineup of Guns N' Roses and Velvet Revolver members Matt Sorum, Duff McKagan, and Gilby Clarke as well as a revolving lineup of members of Def Leppard, Deep Purple, Aerosmith and more. The group plays songs from all of these bands, and other classic rock covers." According to their Facebook page, they will be playing at Las Vegas's House of Blues from December 1st to December 3rd. The lineup for these shows will be Corey Taylor, Chester, Billy Duffy, Steve Stevens, Robert DeLeo, Matt Sorum, and Franky Perez. Tickets will be on sale September 30th, and can be found here. They vary between $45-$100.
  3. I think the deadline is Christmas and the album will be out in March.
  4. No news yet. Album guesses are for March at this point. Single could be in December or January.
  5. Thank you to everyone who made LPLive X, our 10th anniversary celebration of LPLive, such a success! We've received feedback on many different things already and are truly appreciative for all of the support over everything we released and posted during the week. For a recap of the week and everything posted, visit the LPLive X page. Our goal was to keep to our tradition of posting some good exclusives but to also give a look into the site's history, as we did with the Founders Interview and the Milestones post. You can find a ton of our old exclusives and other downloads in our forum section here. The response to Linkinpedia surprised us - it is a good starting point but it has a lot of work to be done on it. You can follow updates via its social media presence on Twitter and Facebook or via this page. We've gotten requests for a lot of things, from LPLive Underground Vol. 2 to more giveaways. Of course, thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way. Thank you to Linkin Park for the opportunity to release a live song, thank you to Adam for the Living Things giveaway, and thank you to everyone who helped supply or obtain the exclusives. See you guys soon!
  6. This is a thread for the discussion of Linkinpedia. Things to add on the site and section ideas, etc. Submit corrections, mistakes, etc here: http://linkinpedia.com/index.php?title=Submissions Staff members: After fixing a submission, be sure to cross it out (like so) when you're done.

  8. Unfortunately this would not work for a number of reasons. It's hard to get someone's word that they will indeed sell something for a set price when it's that high, plus we are overpaying by so much. And if they find out it's crowdfunded they will usually back away. We've thought about this before but it seems too risky.
  9. Astat has contributed a TON of information on LPLive over the years. Honestly the best part of the wiki is it can be a sketchbook/notepad for what's in his head and he can finally get it all written down. Astat remembers small tidbits about the band that I would never remember. Don't worry, he'll get to it....I know he's in school and is busy these days but LPLive will be around hopefully forever, so there is plenty of time to add material.
  10. We've accumulated so much Linkin Park information over the years + needed more than just our own small wiki on the site + have to constantly deal with false info on Wikipedia and more, so we decided to launch our own. We have a committed staff to it, so it will have work done on it constantly. Thanks to everyone who worked hard on this for over a year!
  11. Welcome again to LPLive X! As many of you have heard, LPLive turns 10 years old this week. It’s hard to believe that the time has gone by so quickly. Since we started this website, Linkin Park has released four studio albums and has toured countless countries and cities across the globe. Through this past decade, we’ve enjoyed every second of bringing you full coverage of the live shows and Linkin Park news. Following our staff interview, we really wanted to tell a story of LPLive over time and mention some of our highlights. Today’s exclusive is LPLive: Milestones, a look back 10 years later at our website’s origin and story over time. Written by our staff, we covered the most important moments in the site's history and discuss at length some of the highlights for us. You can read LPLive: Milestones here. We hope you enjoy our September 16th post, exactly 10 years after the launch date of LPLive, for LPLive X. We have several days left and look forward to bringing you more media and exclusives soon! You can find a recap of LPLive X's full celebration here.
  12. For day four of LPLive X, the 10th Anniversary Celebration of LPLive, we are doing a giveaway for Linkin Park fans! This giveaway will be for three signed Living Things CDRs! Back in 2012 to promote Living Things, Linkin Park did a "Share2Earn" competition where the top 100 fans who shared their preorder link for the album won a signed CDR of Living Things. This promotion was helpful in the band securing another #1 debut for the album. Luckily, thanks to our friend Adam, three of these signed CDRs remain! The great thing about this giveaway is that it is open to Linkin Park fans WORLDWIDE! (Photo courtesy of our friends at lpcatalog.com) How to participate: 1. Share the post on the LPLive Facebook page, and/or 2. Retweet the tweet from the LPLive Twitter account, and/or 3. Comment on the post on the LPLive Instagram account. Rules: 1. Everyone can participate in all of the options, but no one can win more than one CD. 2. Whoever who tries to cheat (creating more than one account) will be excluded completely. 3. Current and former LPLive staff members cannot participate. Good luck! Winners will be chosen by raffle (100% randomly) and notified on Monday, September 19th. A recap of LPLive X can be found here. Be sure to check back tomorrow and the rest of the week for the rest of our birthday celebrations!
  13. Not sure why STP couldn't do a few shows here and there like that...
  14. Following his guest spot with Dave Kushner's The Hellcat Saints in June, Chester once again joined the band on stage last night. This event was for Mafia III at the GameStop Expo 2016. Ironically, this was where Linkin Park played their last full show of 2015 for BlizzCon - the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, CA. This is his third guesting appearance of the year, following the other Hellcat Saints show and a Royal Machines guest spot. So far, we can see he sang two songs by The Rolling Stones - 'You Can't Always Get What You Want' and 'Paint It, Black'. We will work on getting a full setlist for the show!
  15. In their new article with Billboard, The Chainsmokers (American DJ duo) dropped an interesting tidbit of information: "Also: deciding who to work with next. Pall doesn’t mind sharing that Linkin Park unexpectedly called him while he was on the toilet" Linkin Park has of course been collaborating with a lot of different artists on new music, from Blackbear to Jon Greene and Martin Garrix. The Martin Garrix song, 'Waiting For Tomorrow' meant for his solo album, still remains unreleased despite leaking in April and was scrapped as a single. Not all of these collaborations are on actual music - the band has said they are inviting other musicians into the studio just to get an idea of how others write and work on music. However, there definitely are some collabs happening, but we won't know who is featured on the new Linkin Park album until a tracklisting is revealed later on in the process.
  16. I just tried to log in via the LPU using my Facebook login as the popup login box recommends, and got this: "Hey, Someone has requested to log in to Metallica via Facebook Login using an account associated with this email address. If you would like to allow access to your account click the link below. Confirm Facebook Login If this was not you, feel free to ignore this email. No further action is required to block access."
  17. Skipees did it individually with each staff member. Yeah, we think alike on some of the answers I guess, ha.
  18. Thanks for the kind words and especially to Skipees who made this whole thing happen. In 10 years, we've never had a big interview with the whole staff. I enjoyed reading everyones responses and it's great to see the different perspectives and stories about the site. Dmitry's one sentence made me laugh out loud.
  19. We will be celebrating LPLive's 10th anniversary on Monday, September 12th.
  20. This doesn't have anything to do with that, but that's still happening. That is about the new album promotional cycle, etc. Stuff has already been done in regards to what you're talking about, but behind the scenes.
  21. I don't think they will ever do a "making of" again. Almost a year went by for THP before they released any making of footage.
  22. In case you didn't know Linkin Park was in the studio, here's 45 seconds of Chester telling you that the band is recording a new album.
