"Like Riding A Bike": Hot Karl and Mike Shinoda
hahninator replied to hahninator's topic in Newswire
What exactly is it? I tried to look it up online and all I saw was Jay-Z was getting criticized for using it on a guest verse of his in a rap song. -

New song featuring Linkin Park - Things In My Jeep
hahninator replied to SergSlim's topic in Newswire
Comment on the LP Facebook: "This was actually the quickest song I ever did. You see I was coming back from a bitchin' fun time at the beach with (insert Celebrity name here), and then my producer called me and said that I was one song short for my album and the deadline was that day. So I was freaking out, I pulled up to the studio and I realize, I didn't have any lyrics. So I was pacing around in panic, and for some reason I was looking at the things in my Jeep. I saw the boxing gloves that I had from my gym training, the condoms, for obvious reasons, my blueblockers, my dress shoes that I had with me from last week's dinner event, a sharpie and three quarters, and I thought 'Holy shit! That rhymes!'. So I wrote down everything I had in my Jeep, organized them to rhyme, and that became 'Things in My Jeep'. A couple of things I had to put into the Jeep. I actually didn't have a novella in the Jeep at first but I needed something that rhymes with umbrella. There was a kid nearby reading a comic book. So I took his comic book and put it in my Jeep. Called it a novella. "And with even greater luck, right next to my recording studio was LINKIN PARK getting ready to record their own album. So I asked if they were willing to sing a couple lines for a $1000, and they did. I thought it was going to be a couple of guys though, I didn't know I had to pay all SIX band members. Should have just paid Chester." Haha! -

Mike has joined up with Jensen Karp, a friend/artist of his from Los Angeles, for a new track on Jensen's latest podcast "Get Up On This." Mike produced the song with his own beat and lays a verse down. The full song will be available on June 7th and goes by the name "Like Riding A Bike", by Hot Karl (Jensen's rap name) and Mike. This is the same new track we heard via Snapchat recently. Check the song out at the 1:00:45 mark here: https://soundcloud.com/getuponthispod/246-jensen-matty Lyrics via LPA: "Damn, Daniel, like the founder of Spotify Streamin' freemium heat / your wounds'll get cauterised Right in front of every fickle fan that you're followed by Like blackhat hackers, you'll be lookin' for compromise Your man's laughin' while we're watchin' you backpedal The crowd's cringin' / you can't win / your attack's mellow I'm half-hopin' you'll still rap when the laughs settle Bodied by a singer from a band that did rap-metal? Shit / I digress / where to start? ('Cause) whether I'm the biggest or I barely chart Count wins on the tracks and the mic and art I'm a legend in three games like I'm Jensen Karp So irreverent / I tip-toe up And whisper that you're more irrelevant than "Real World" Puck Have you up at night, countin' all the reasons I suck And I would love to hear about it but I ran out of fucks" Thoughts?

Julien-K will play their first 2016 show in July. Here's the information: Friday, July 15 (Rock) Nectar Lounge, Seattle, WA JULIEN-K Life as Cinema Lo' There Special Guests Doors: 8 p.m. | Show: 9 p.m. 21+ Tickets: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/julien-k-tickets-25802106796?aff=ebapi?aff=ebapi A Portland, Oregon show is also in the works for the week of the Seattle show. Julien-K will be touring the United States in November as direct support for a band that will be announced later in the year.
-
The very first thing I've heard about the touring cycle was in April, when I learned the band does not plan to tour at all in 2016 as of right now. In fact, a good portion of their main touring crew is booked through November (some later than that) with other artists. The next thing I heard was last night. Again, as of now, I was told they have a tour of some sort booked in March 2017. I don't know if that's the first tour for the album or even where it is, but that's all I have unfortunately for an update.

It's probably the song from Lonely Island.

Add Mike on Snapchat at "mikeshinodalive" to hear the first clip of new Linkin Park music. It will only be up for 24 hours, but he has added a clip of him rapping to his Snapchat story.

Here is the latest studio update from Linkin Park. "Hey everyone, Rather than writing you an update this time, we decided to let this video do the talking! -Mike"

Linkin Park just posted a picture on Instagram about Joe's vinyls that reads, "Turntables and scratching were an important part of the band’s sound in the early days. At first, Joe scratched vinyl—we even went so far as to press a record that only Joe and I had, full of original sounds (like the ones heard on Cure For The Itch). We were so happy when CDJ’s were first introduced, because they allowed us to make and try out our homemade sounds on the fly, burning them to CD and scratching them in the studio." -Mike Just a friendly reminder to those that saw this post...several of these vinyls have surfaced via collectors here at LPLive and at LPCatalog. The following links provide the history of each vinyl as well as a rundown of what's on them and a download. - Joe's "Tasty Gas Station Breaks" vinyl (Hybrid Theory EP, Hybrid Theory, and other songs) - Joe's Meteora vinyl (all songs on Meteora) A "Projekt Revolution Breaks" vinyl by DJ Focus was also pressed in 2002, featuring other samples from Hybrid Theory. Just a friendly reminder in case some of you haven't downloaded these vinyls! Both of Joe's were used on stage for years and if you saw Linkin Park from 2000 to the late 2000s, Joe had at least one of these at your show.

New collaboration: Martin Garrix featuring Linkin Park

Really strange it leaked, they hushed it up and now an incomplete version is circulating, and now they want to not only decide to NOT release it as a single, but they pushed the album back. -

I think they stopped making them after that.

The thing is that in the USA they don't ever do these big outdoor shows with a big lineup, like Projekt Revolution's 2008 and 2011 shows in Europe. You could easily get 40,000 at those in Europe. The USA music scene isn't that big though for rock, the biggest festival Rock on the Range only gets 35,000 max for a HUGE lineup that includes Slipknot and a ton of bands. That same lineup at Rock am Ring would bring over 40,000+. Like you said, LP may have never brought over 25,000 to their own show in the USA, where they could semi-regularly do that outside of the USA at events like Rock im Sektor, Sao Paulo headlining, Asian shows, and more.
-
Then judging from that, I'd say these shows fall somewhere in that range. 30,000+. http://lplive.net/shows/db/2007/20070728 http://lplive.net/shows/db/2012/20120908 http://lplive.net/shows/db/2004/20040827and http://lplive.net/shows/db/2008/20080816 I guess SSMF didn't have over 20,000.
-
Not sure as they've never really headlined their own big "festival style" show outdoors in the USA, ever, except like Sunset Strip Music Festival. I don't think we can count Rock on the Range, etc. All of their shows have been clubs, arenas, amphitheatres, etc. It's hard to say, I really don't know.

The live CD / DSP files have never come with just "Somewhere I Belong" in the title. They are always in this format of number, title, date, LP_LIVE_City. The file names changed at one point to just Somewhere I Belong but I don't know what year that was. They haven't ever come tagged like you're saying.
-
Are you sure you grabbed them 100%? The only three without title tags that I know of are Auburn 2007, Sacramento 2007 and Wantagh 2008. The tags are there for the rest, at least on my end.
-
I will gladly take this down if management or WBR asks, no problem at all. It's no issue to oblige, I'd be happy to. I was just offering the fans the shows since I get an incredible amount of requests for the recordings. We have a good relationship with LP management and I want to keep it that way. They do a lot of stuff for us, so I don't want to make them mad.
-
If anyone has ANY errors with any mp3 or a tag or something, please let us know so we can get this fixed.

In December 2015, Linkin Park completely closed their live download website. This was the website that hosted every live CD / DSP (Digital Souvenir Package) from 2007 to 2012. Unfortunately, our efforts to revive the program have not worked. We wrote an open letter to the band in March 2013 and started a petition over two years later, in August 2015, to no success. With the website going offline and fans no longer having any way to access them, we were committed to preserving these shows. We are now able to announce that we have a master DSP torrent for everyone to download, so that you may enjoy these concerts. There are 229 shows available, with pictures for one more (Pomona 2009) included. These are all correctly tagged, every show, all pictures, etc. 1. Nottingham 2008, the first "DSP" (after the live CDs) was released in 160kbps. The support staff never returned our emails about it. This is also the first show with pictures. 2. Pomona 2009 was not released due to the power going out during the show and messing up the recording. The pictures were released later, which are included here. 3. Two shows had changes made afterward to the files online. Canberra 2010 had New Divide and Crawling edited later to fix Chester's vocals. Uncasville 2012 had Given Up edited later to put vocals back in the track (it was released as an instrumental at first). All of these files are included in "Fixed File(s)" in those show folders. 4. Sunrise 2011 and Tampa 2011 were released in full but then Wisdom Justice and Love was removed from them online at a later time. This torrent HAS the WJL songs from those two shows. Atlanta 2011 is the first show to not have WJL at all, and it was removed from all shows after that. 5. Grafenhainichen 2009 has a few extra pictures in there taken by Julien-K of the venue. 6. Some of the NYC 2008 pics were released with Lexington 2008, I put them in the correct folder. The Lexington pics are watermarked by Jason LeMiere (Joe's old DJ tech). DOWNLOAD: Torrent via LP-Bits.com. *Registration (free). Total size: 48.18gb, 6667 files Thank you to Chesterchaz for putting the torrent together for everyone! Enjoy!
