Very similar to the LPTV.
-
The questions look like they selected them and Rob just recorded answers, right?
-
The instrumental is fine but the vocals are so bad. The lyrics themselves are atrocious. Finally something that's on par with Burn It Down.
-
They mentioned it while promoting Live in Texas too. "Chester once stated in an interview to MTV in 2003 that several remixes to Meteora were made, but no plans were being made to release them." That's all we know. We don't know which songs they did.
-
It was on Carnivores Tour sometime near the start. One of the shows I went to I think. You're putting Fred Durst from Rock im Park 2001? He didn't sing on the song at all right? Just jump out and throw beer at Chester?
-
It was recorded in the Minutes To Midnight album sessions in 2007. The episode debuted in November 2007. http://www.lpassociation.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26503&page=5It was LP, not just Chester. And it's interesting to note they didn't do a full version of it.

Chester Bennington

Amir said this is not related to Ch2 but maybe he means it's just not the same name.

If you look at this page http://lplive.net/shows/db/2011/20110120-2you'll see that we have the Happy Birthday portion of the show listed as a setlist note. It's missing from other shows, like this one http://lplive.net/shows/db/2004/20040315 Can someone compose a list of all the shows over the years where there was a Happy Bday celebration for a band member? I'll add it to the pages. There surely weren't many.

Pictureboard what is it and has anyone heard it?
hahninator replied to Picatta20's topic in Everything Linkin Park
You honestly think the band decided to play something like that live? Haha -
Yep! Thanks Derek for getting this done. It was literally a case of...I was interested in getting this done a few weeks ago for the Xero songs, Derek literally texted me out of the blue about Xero and coincidentally after a short chat, he said he'd get the lyrics handled ASAP for everyone. Now time to take a look!

They might be doing something different. If they totally get rid of it, that would not be good. I'll try to get some more information for you guys. Lorenzo is fan-oriented and was a fan himself so he knows obviously fans would want it.

Dedicated Standing In The Middle What We Don't Know I Have Not Begun Pretend To Be Slip Blue So Far Away Chance Of Rain I would include songs like Sold My Soul, Pale, and Coal too. But that's just me. They have plenty of songs with vocals. But I don't think we need 10-12 with vocals every CD; they'd run out really quickly. They can't have THAT many. There are a few things we obviously want like Pictureboard, My December Team Sleep remix, Technique (Full) and more, but I don't think they'll ever release any of those.

Cool sound to this one. Definitely unique. This is the first time we've heard Chester scat vocals (started during MTM era but still used obviously in demos) on a released song, right? Japan (Across The Line demo) had some on the MTM DVD. I'm glad they kept the vocals. Anything with scat vocals to me is much better than a two minute instrumental. It reminds me of the LOATR Fear demo on LPU9 - a few established lyrics and a few scat vocals.

On to version four. Trying to do the corrections as they are submitted. We've compiled all of the 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0 ones into a Google Doc that I've been working on for a while. Please try not to spam the topic up...basically just post here only if you have a correction you see that needs to be addressed or something that should be ADDED. This applies to: - SOURCES - SHOW NOTES / OTHER NOTES - SETLISTS - MISSING SHOWS / TOUR DATES / ETC - MISSING OTHER BAND INFORMATION And anything else.... *of course any typos/punctuation/grammar mistakes* If you submitted something before that you see isn't fixed for some reason, please repost it here.

A few corrections from what I've listened to tonight on the Xero tape: Fuse: "Rock on, sing songs, we're mightier than King Kong Or Donkey Kong" I think he says "or Donkey", no "Kong" there. "Better dodge, or I'll ram this mic straight through the back of an emcee's head" I think he says "mic shaft", not "mic straight". Listen to it. "Compete for an edge" Doesn't sound like he says "edge". Not sure what it is. Stick N Move: "In 2 elements, collaborating with those that bring the best" Doesn't sound like he says "collaborating" but I'm not sure what else it could be. It sounds like after he says "b-boy pose" he says like "see ya" or something?

Did we ever confirm if he taped a Hybrid Theory band performance? The trailer indicates he did but I believe when someone asked him, he said he only taped the rehearsal footage/the interview stuff that is shown in his video clips. Slip and Esaul are definitely in there. He probably has another song or two as well. We've gotten quotes from him on an asking price but it's SO absurdly high, it's not even worth negotiating. There are some things LPLive CANNOT raise money for and one of those is the Ostrick tapes, among others.

Yeah it's part of it. These samples are very short but some of them appear on THP. Final Masq, Keys, Rebellion, I think even Mark The Graves and ALITS. GATS too, hell.
-
Rebellion sounds pretty bad. Who mixed it? The guitar on Papercut really kicks in heavy, I like that a lot.
-
The time periods for demos seem to get even more confusing as time goes on. I am fairly certain some of the LPU demos are dated incorrectly. But maybe I'm wrong. I don't understand the Roads Untraveled correlation at all.
-
This. Exactly my thought. Damn Brand New is excellent.
-
The mix is really good, I think that helps it a lot. GATS is an excellent live song. The reason they don't play it anymore is because both Brad and Rob hurt themselves on it, right? So they brought in ALITS. My guess is that they were going to have both GATS and ALITS in the set (until that happened)...which would have been awesome. I do miss GATS at the show. It bothered me at first that the crowd didn't know anything about it, but screw it if LP wants to open with it, no problem. Red Bull Sessions is an awesome one. My favorite one is San Diego 2014 (Comic-Con) so far. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zj218YUhS7I Or Rock am Ring 2014, that one rocks too. Yes! Do you have the original file(s) for it?
-
Yeah! Finally. Thanks to AlexAndr0nic for the heads up! HD. GATS, POA, OSC, Blackout, Papercut, Rebellion, BID, Roboy Boy, Joe Solo, Final Masq, Mike Solo, Numb, ITE, Faint, Crawling, UIG, BIO

We submitted the questions too late. It was a text interview, it was 2010, we fucked up. Hopefully we can get an interview in the future. I listened this podcast last night. Great job. Mike seemed really calm and cool, and a lot of good fan questions got asked. In fact, I don't know anything I would ask him that didn't get addressed last night. Maybe more tour/live-based questions, which would be more about what our site is about. LPA covered a LOT of stuff in an hour. Tons of album stuff was discussed - I'm a big fan. Thanks to Derek telling LP/their publicist that fansites are important too, LP's new publicist has been accommodating to us. I had an in-person interview lined up for the North American Tour this year, but the tour got canceled.
