  1. To be fair, Prodigy are a hell of a lot bigger over here, roughly equal size to LP I'd say. I'd love a UK show for this tour. Hopefully they'll either do Sonisphere or their own show.
  2. That's not a setlist, that's the band's death warrant.
  3. If the album does come out in 2012, it's going to be late 2012.
  4. Much as I dislike hip hop, I really enjoy the Fort Minor album so a more LP-esque version of that could be awesome.
  5. That they don't realise Linkin Park have sold more records than Limp Bizkit worries me.
  6. It really wouldn't surprise me if this album is a bit dancey, kinda like The Catalyst. Lately they've been touring with lots of hard dance acts like Pendulum and The Prodigy. Obviously, it's impossible to predict these things, but one thing's for sure it's not gonna sound like Hybrid Theory.
  7. I'm ashamed to admit I giggled at the Japants joke.
  8. Agreed. There are often large gaps between album completion and release, but for an album that, by this evidence, seems like it would be ready in February to be released in the fourth quarter is bizzare. My bet is they're aiming to finish just before the summer tour, which would make a fourth quarter release sensible.
  9. Bringing And One and Don't Stay back would be just swell. Also, in terms of support bands, Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows, Japanese Voyeurs or Letlive. would be perfect.
  10. Drone- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hIR1KfKXH6s Nintendocore- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Twokr090WM Shoegaze- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JR8n7Asz9ZE A fusion of these three, please. With the occasional dubstep drop to spice things up.
  11. Evanescence and Flyleaf have both cited Linkin Park as a major influence on their sound, and it's not difficult to see why, they do the whole metal riffs/pop hooks thing like Hybrid Theory. To be honest most of the Linkin Park's contemporaries were probably influenced by older bands such as Korn, Limp Bizkit, Deftones and Coal Chamber. Bands like Disturbed, Papa Roach and LP were part of nu metal's second wave. Admittedly, Linkin Park were around the same time as Korn and Bizkit, they just took longer to break through.
  12. One of, or a mixture of, the following- Death/black metal Mariachi Opera Psychedelic pop Drone Nintendocore Gospel Shoegaze Acid Trance Power metal Nursery rhymes
  13. My theory is either that this is simply an Escape the Studio tour, or that the band are finishing the album in time for the tour, ready for a winter release after a few finishing touches. There is a gap between a band finishing an album and the record company releasing it- sometimes even a gap of 6 or more months.
  14. Kim Jong-il's ghost is holding up the new album.
  15. The fact that they're doing European festivals excites me... if they do Sonisphere UK I may pass out from excitement. Download's already got all it's headliners... it's possible!

  17. Damn, I remember Spineshank, pretty good band. And nice story
