  1. Not to veer too much off topic, but part of me has wondered since July 20th if Chester wrote that song with the possibility in mind that things may end the way they did. Listening to that song now is heartbreaking but also strangely comforting. It's sad because Chester is gone, but that song to me says that he also wanted to comfort those that were left behind by saying to remember better times when you're feeling sad and "empty". I agree that the song has so much meaning, and it's the first LP song that I listened to.. a couple of days after what happened.
  2. Because of what? Affected sales? I dont think the band is releasing this with sales in mind.
  3. PMA leaked like 7 years ago or something like that lol. Unless theyve disappeared completely now. I used to have them on my old computer.
  4. The stems for that song are out there, not only the acapella. Those stems specifically are definitely from RB4.
  5. I think he forgot the words for a split second and then recovered to finish the line.
  6. Cooperation on YouTube's part. It's not the first time it's been done by them, either.
  7. The live version of What Ive Done also came as a pre-order track along with No Roads Left, yes.
  8. You may be right, but I'm sure if they were to choose the other show they would edit it and fix that mistake. For example, when Jay-Z came in too early on Big Pimpin' at Live 8 in 2005, the mistake was edited out for LPU 5.
  9. Am I crazy or did they also fix Kiiara and Julia Michaels on Heavy? The drive myself crazy part sounds way better lol
  10. Dont they record every show? Not every show is professionally mixed obviously but I always thought they have SBD recordings of most if not all their shows.
  11. Does anybody think this live album may be released in lieu of an LPU album this year? It was my first thought. I wouldnt be disappointed if that was the case, this album is going to be great, but it was just something i wondered.
  12. Pre-ordered. Will be awesome to have! The level of cynicism from some people about this release is astounding.
  13. He'll correct me if I'm wrong, but I think he meant that they would play them for her out of respect, and give her the say that Chester would have had as far as his demos go when it comes to putting them on an LPU CD.
  14. I like the RTR set which is close to this. I realize there were a couple FM verses on POA, and obviously the two Jay Z songs, but besides that it was a really good LP set. I love that DVD. I still watch it regularly.
  15. I didnt like full FM songs in the LP set just like I didnt like the mini DBS set they would do before LPs encore years ago.
  16. It's very likely that Chester's death delayed this, especially with the planned release being only one week later. If Mike was indeed using this app at ComplexCon, that's awesome. It sounds really cool.
  17. If I remember right, the Making of Meteora DVD had a part where you could hear the bridge of FTI with no vocals and the click track audible. I'm not sure about a legit "demo" of the song though.
  18. Out of curiosity, was the existence of this song (or a new song in general) one of the things you were saying you knew before the show but couldn't say? Lol after the initial emotion began to subside after hearing the song, I started to wonder if this is one of the things you were referring to.
  19. Is there sunshine where you are?...... gets me every time. That line caught me completely off guard.
  20. Part of me wants to say that song is sacred and nobody should sing it, but honestly I know thats not my right to say something like that. I just cant think of anyone who would truly do it justice.
  21. Awesome video. I really wish there was video of Mike/the band's initial reaction when Chester pulled off the full scream for the first time. That had to be an amazing moment. Chester really always gave it his all.. He was so passionate and intense. Also this can be added to the list of times that Chester stated how much he disliked having to sing the chorus of Crawling lol. I'm glad in later performances they stripped it down and lowered the key. That way audiences got to hear the song, and Chester didn't have to destroy his voice to sing it.
  22. I'm pretty sure that, even as a 5-piece, Mike will find a way to work in at the very least elements of all of the songs that he can't handle singing. Maybe mashups, maybe a medley where the crowd sings the parts that only Chester could have handled, etc. For example, imagine this: The band finds a way to work in the chorus of OSC somewhere (knowing Mike it would be as creative as it is awesome). The lights shine on the crowd as they sing Chester's lines, and Mike does his own lines. Even small things like that would suffice I think, and would be a way to honor Chester's legacy and what he meant to the band. Moments like that could be worked in at various points during any given set that the band will perform in the future. Then again, I could be 100% wrong and they might do something completely different. A couple things that I know I'm not wrong about though? Linkin Park will still be Linkin Park, but continuing without Chester is obviously the end of an era. A sort of rebirth of the band is needed, but we all know that they will always find a way to honor Chester's memory as best they can moving forward.
  23. I dont think the bands criteria would include how much someone looks like Chester, nor if someone can try their best to sound exactly like him.
  24. Yeah I remember at the iHeartRadio 2014 show Mike mentioned that they intentionally sequenced each song to be totally different from the song before it in terms of their overall vibe. Thats a pretty cool touch.
  25. Yeah definitely far different vibes, but LOATR could almost be seen as a calm reflection after the storm. GU - "Put me out of my fucking misery! I've given up, I'm sick of feeling" LOATR - "Pretending someone else can come and save me from myself, I can't be who you are. When my time comes, forget the wrong that I've done, help me leave behind some reasons to be missed" It's almost like LOATR is lyrically full of thoughts that occur after he's fully resigned to his fate and decided to "give up", pun intended. Some of the lyrics express similar sentiments found in Given Up. In GU he's more angry and aggressive. In LOATR he's more thoughtful and almost apologetic with lines like "don't resent me".
